I cannot beg you enough to never ever buy a Volkswagon and if you do NOT FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. It's long but please read it will save you from a world of headache!!!! My daughter had to buy a Volkswagon during 20201, when her car died and there were not a lot of cars to buy. We helped her lease a Jetta from the Thousand Oaks Volkswagon. Not only did they price gouge, but they sold a warranty which we never knew what the warranty was for. We called multiple times to find out what we were paying for and no one could tell us then we asked for the warranty to be removed and they wouldn't. The dealership was sold to a very shady person. With the lease, we were supposed to get two free oil changes and a check up on the car. Every time we tried to get that they told us they were booked and that we would have to pay for it When we did have them change the oil, which we ended up paying for, we drove the car off the lot and all of a sudden there was a signal on the dashboard that's something was wrong. We took the car back over to them when they put what looks like mice prints in the engine and said that one of the wires must have been chewed and we needed to replace this whole system. They also tried to sell us $200 peppermint oil to put under hood to deter rodents. We have a friend that works for an auto body and we took it over there and they said that a wire had been loosened and that all I needed to do was be reattached. After at least 20 phone calls and speaking to the most rudest employees ever I have a list of names, but I don't know if they're still there. We decided to ride out the lease and never get another Volkswagon ever! We had 3 months left before we turn in the car. We received two notices which I have, that stated that my daughter went over her mileage. We called Thousand Oaks Volkswagon and they said yes, indeed she did go over her mileage and that we should bring in the car and trade it in for a new car so we didn't get penalized. I then called Volkswagon of America Corporate and they said she was not over her mileage and to ignore the papers that were sent. We now are trying to turn in the car. We had the car detailed, fixed a chip in the windshield, replace the tires and just received a notice that we owe almost $2000 for excessive wear and tear on the card. The car was literally driven 10 miles to and from work that's all she used it for, so once we threatened to get a consumer attorney all of a sudden we owe nothing. We had pictures for proof. What if we just paid this they would've walked away with an extra $2000? This Volkswagon dealership is literally the worst dealership I have dealt with. The incompetency of the general manager to the employees that yell at you that you're wasting their time if you don't want to buy a car was horrible. My daughter now owns a Cadillac Optiq that is fully loaded with everything on it for $10 more a month than her Jetta lease, that was a basic package and had nothing, cloth seats, basic package. Cadillac in Calabasas treated her with respect and gave her an amazing deal. My EPC light came on 5 days after buying my car that was a CPO and still under factory warranty and I brought it here. They only turned the light off and my experience with the car was downhill from there. Had they done their due diligence and done a diagnostic on the car, I probably would have had a better experience and enjoyed my car. Look at your warranty and make sure you take advantage of everything you paid for because the California Emissions warranties provide coverage for diagnostics, labor and parts to fix the vehicle and immediately. These dealerships will try to charge you for these things. Also, make sure that they write down everything you say when you bring your car in for service. Even if the light is not on when you go in, make sure to make them note that it came on and needs to be looked at. Now that the laws are a little more refined in California because of the Supreme Court's decision in Rodriguez, but the provisions for used cars were not eliminated under the Song Beverly Warranty act for those with a CPO or car still under new limited vehicle warranty - the original manufacturer's warranty, not left over but continued coverage the same as the original owner. Buyers beware of Volkswagen dealerships, something is going on with their vehicles. Honesty is the best policy and I would advise that you do not buy a used vehicle unless it is a CPO or still under the original manufacturer's warranty and purchased from an authorized dealership, not a private owner. Worst Experience - Fraudulent and Misleading Dealership I had the absolute worst experience. They are blatantly misadvertising and engaging in what feels like fraudulent practices. I was interested in a Volkswagen they advertised for $23,000, so I called the dealership to confirm both the price and availability. The salesman, Harrison, assured me the car was available at that price and even mentioned that they could negotiate further and offer me a discount. Based on this, I drove 50 minutes from Glendale to their dealership, only to be told upon arrival that the price was actually $32,000--a staggering $9,000 more than advertised! I don't know what has changed at Neftin VW this but we have had vws for the past 21 years and always serviced at Neftin, Westlake. The greed factor has increased RECENTLY to the degree that they now charge to diagnose the problem then add it to the bill when you pay for the repair. In my case engine light came and car started running rough. Diagnosed as a bad ignition coil. $756 to replace 4 ignition coils plus $250 to diagnose the problem. I would understand if they spent time to diagnose and I then took somewhere else for the work. But this is a new one for me. BEWARE. read more

You can get both together online for $25-30 or buy reusable K&N cabin and engine filters for what this place charges for the engine air filter alone. Bought my car at 730pm on 12/30/25. Didnt get out of the dealership until 0930pm. Brad, the sales manager, was able to get me the metallic grey color that I wanted. The following day, I was getting ready to drive in the daylight, I noticed that there is a linear scratch the size of a finger on the left side of my vehicle. This is supposed to be a brand new vehicle 2026 Tiguan. Also, the rubber seal on the side of the driver side door is a bit loose. They say that you should purchase your vehicle on a rainy day and towards the end of the year. I guess it would also make sense to check out the brand new vehicle in the daylight prior to making the purchase. $31500 was the negotiated price OTD and another dealership offered $31243 OTD. I wanted to put 15K on the credit card but ended up with a smaller amount on the cr card. 45 miles on the vehicle before driving it off the lot instead of 5 miles on the vehicle as compared to those vehicles at other dealerships. By the way, we do not like the idea for not having the option to get a copy of everything we signed on paper rather than being handed a thumb drive. Not what we wanted. Hopefully they'll send us the original signed paperwork, like I asked when I first arrived at their dealership. read more

Do not come here!! I brought my VW here to get my 30k mile service which is prepaid. The first thing the advisor did was open my hood and act like he is looking around and says I think you may have critters.. having worked in a dealership for over 10 years I asked him what makes you think that.. he was like oh usually there is a thin film of dust and there isn't.. bullshit. Second he tells me it is going to be $399.99 for my service. Which is prepaid should have been no charge. We went and sat in the waiting room and as we sit down there is a young kid talking to someone on the phone saying that he came for an oil change and they told him they think he has rodents in his engine compartment.. that was all it took. I told them I had to leave and had them bring me my car. As we were waiting for our car there was another customer waiting and I asked him if they happened to mention rodents in his engine area and he looked surprised and said yes. I told he was the third person to be told that with all different service advisors. I then went online to a VW dealer in Glendale as soon as I put in my car info it came up free. I've taken my 2019 Tiguan here 3x now to get fixed. It's still under warranty and has been making a jerking motion along with the check engine light on. The first time we were floored with Frank and the team. Even though they had our car for much longer than promised (about 5 days) however it did NOT fix the problem at all. We took the car back again the following week and they had it again for another 5 days.. said it was fixed .. NOPE! Each time I've had to follow up and ask if the car was done or if we could get any type of update (I'm 39 weeks pregnant and it's our only car right now) Frank took DAYS to get back to us. I've called and left a message about how the problem is STILL not fixed and no one has bothered to follow up or respond. We're going to go to a different Volkswagen at this point. If you want your car done correctly and don't want to waste time chasing around and following up about it go elsewhere. Very disappointed in the service provided AND customer service. I dropped off my car for service before the holidays. I was told they'd call me as soon as my car was ready. I walked around 3 hrs go by with no news. I call them, they say the car has to stay overnight. Meanwhile I was already halfway home so I kept walking another 3 miles to my house. Then they said the car would be ready at 1 pm the next day. I show up at 3 pm and yet again I'm told the car is not going to be ready until the next day. I'm running late trying to pick up my son from school, that's why I gave them an extra 2 hr window in case they were running behind. They offer me a loaner car and I'm off to being late picking up my son. Next day I'm told 2 o'clock for sure. I show up at 3 and I'm told that I need to come back yet again the following day. At this point I had returned their loaner and had to go get that car back again and be late again picking up my son. Next day I show up and the one thing we had discussed at the counter which was a big mud flap looking piece of rubber hanging under my front bumper was still dragging on the ground as they pulled up my car. I told the service rep what was going on to which he immediately pulled out a pair of scissors lying down right in front of me on the asphalt, cuts the big piece of rubber and gave me my keys!! They changed ownership recently. Last 5 years, I've been taking my car there and never got charged the kind of tickets they hit me with. Every little analysis, you pay $250 and that's just to tell you what the problem is. My last service cost $2100 and I've never had to pay a service fee that significant during the last 5 years with the previous owners. Even though they have my car's history, I am never going back again. I'm looking into trading my car due to the last 2 unreasonably high service fees and I will definitely not be doing it at Neftin in Thousand Oaks even though it is the closest location to me. Very disappointing, time to move on, which is sad because my last 2 cars for the past 10 years have been Volkswagens. read more

They said it's locked in the service department. 4 months later, I still don't have a key because it's on "backorder". The key they promised us is somehow lost. My wife and I have spoken with multiple people including manager Ali who promised last month that he would call me back with a status but never did. I called him back and all he could say is that it's on back order. He immediately gets defensive, deflects responsibility by simply saying I don't have a status, it's on back order.
