Amazing service, the woman behind the counter is an absolute doll and always remembers me. I've been here multiple times, everything has come out looking brand new. Example: I bought a white Ikea chair off of Craigslist, the cover was dingy and I tried everything and was planning on buying a new cover but decided to go ahead and give them a try. It came out stark white, it looked better than brand new. I still can't believe it!! I also bring in a lot of expensive, rare, delicate clothing. (Japanese lolita dresses/skirts if anyone knows what it is) and she always takes such good care of it and it always comes out perfect. My only bad is I wish they were open Sundays or later on weekdays. It's impossible to make it here from work on weekdays and Saturdays are hard for me. Also help out small businesses by paying with cash if you can! They have a 10 dollar min for credit cards but will accept card anyway if you don't have it on you. read more

I've been using Regency for over 4 years and I happily recommend them to all of my friends! Great service and very kind owners who are always smiling (and remember me even though I only come in 3-4 times a year). I would have left 5 stars, but recently one of my favorite shirts developed a new spot during cleaning. They agreed to give it one more go, and when I got the shirt back there was a circular burn mark on the hem that was definitely not there before. However, in the end they didn't charge me for the cleaning, so it evened out... ish? Despite the mishap with that one shirt, everything else I've ever had cleaned with them comes back looking good as new! Also! As a costume designer I trust them with my gowns and creations. They take extra care with these items and even the complex ones come back perfectly clean with all extra bits accounted for. I've had terrible luck with other cleaners, so really this is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. read more

Made the stupid decision to check a bag with bottles of wine (not bubble wrapped well enough, obviously) when flying back from a trip to Iowa. In that same bag were some NEW clothes. Upon arrival back in LA, disaster. Clothes covered in red wine. I took in 3 blouses to Regency cleaners hoping they could work some sort of miracle. They did. They saved ALL THREE blouses; they look like they were brand new again. Literally it looked like they went from they had been in a murder scene to brand spanking new... did I mention 2 of the 3 blouses were white? Yeah. Amazing. And they charged a pretty reasonable price for the work; I think it was around $25 for the 3 all together. Hopefully I will never be faced with stains quite this bad again, but if so, I'll be bringing them right to Regency Cleaners. TIP: Don't try to wash them or remove stains yourself before bringing to them; just bring straight to them after stain gets on there, the fresher the better (their advice :) ) read more

As if that weren't enough, they do a great job cleaning clothes and will go above and beyond to bring your item back to its shiniest and newest possible condition. I brought in a shirt once that was missing a button just for dry cleaning, and I didn't even mention the missing button. When I went to pick it up, I learned that they actually sent their alterations person out on a button-hunt in the garment district downtown to find a button that matched the others on the shirt. This place is great for dry cleaning. The place is clean, there's always parking and they are so friendly, you can't help but want to go back again and again. My only issue with them was the alterations service. I took them a coat to be resized and I had to pay $28 and it was practically the same size as it was when I started! I also dropped off two dresses to be taken up and they weren't done when they said they would be. And it felt a little on the pricey side ($12 each for simple hemming). HOWEVER - Dry cleaning? YES. Customer service? HELL YES! Simple tailoring? Sure, why not. Bigger tailoring jobs? Nope, go to Armando's Tailoring on Sunset. Much better. The end. read more

Hopefully Yelp fixes this, but Regency does not appear at the correct location on the map. Look up the same address on Google Maps and you'll see that it's actually at the corner of Echo Park Ave. and Montana: their correct location. A few of my friends have recommended this place but I always liked Hollyway Cleaners down the street. Eventually, I got tired of the crappy mistakes that Hollyway would make over and over again - they just never double-checked their work. So finally I decided to give Regency a try - they were only 1.5 blocks further away anyway. I couldn't believe how nice the people at Regency were. It was almost too much. In fact, one of the reviewers on here actually did have too much! The people at Regency are a very hard-working and courteous husband and wife team. If you watch them for just a little while, it's obvious that they take care to make sure that they did a good job and pressed everything properly. They did a flawless job on my clothes. I told the woman there about how I used to go to Hollyway, etc. and she said that many people tell her the same thing. She repeated all of the stories she had heard and they were all of my same problems! She also bragged a little about her nice dry-cleaning machine. Regency Cleaners works hard, folks. I came to Regency Cleaners because of all the great reviews and was so pleased with their service. I brought in some dresses that were badly stained (oops) with wine, grease, or just long dresses being dragged on the floor, with very little hope that they would be revived but, to my shock, they came out looking like new! After that I made it my go-to dry cleaners. It's certainly not the cheapest but you pay for quality which makes it worth it. The main lady (I think she's the owner?) is so friendly and bubbly. This is not just your average dry cleaner. They are alteration genius'! While they can do hems with ease, the seamstress here shines at dress alterations. I bought in a complicated black jumpsuit. Jenny, the lovely owner, measured me up but felt it needed her seamstress' expertise to figure out the complicated cut out collar. I came in when he was there, he took one look and quickly came up with the perfect solution to take my jumpsuit in without losing detail. I came back in a week later and my jumpsuit looked like it was made just to fit me. Incredibly solution to a complicated take in. It wasn't the cheapest ($55) but the work was tidy, straight and finished well. Needless to say, I will continue to bring my vintage finds here for alterations. A dry cleaner that can make adjustments with an on time deliver is important to me. I was at my friends and needed an outfit cleaned immediately because of our next day engagement and my indecisiveness made things a bit inconvenient. I stopped in here to drop off an outfit and they informed me it would not be ready today, but next morning yes. I thought maybe this will work and it turned out to work for the best despite my thoughtlessness, but their wonderful service made the difference. read more

I originally heard about Regency Cleaners from several yelp reviews that commented on their exceptional customer service and quality work, so decided to check it out. The first day I came into Regency I was immediately welcomed by both owners (a cute korean couple) with warm smiles. I even happened to catch the coversation of the customer in front of me who was telling them how happy he was that they reopened and he has been such a happy customer. After this first visit I felt the exact same way! The owners are the most friendly and heart warming people you will ever meet! On multiple occassions I've been greeted with a hug or friendly handshake. And every time they show their gratitude for continuing to come back. On top of that, their service and work is exceptional! One of the worst things about moving away from Los Angeles is that I am no longer down the street from this place. So now, I'm writing this review so others go there... I tried several different dry cleaners in the area before I found Regency - including businesses that lost a button I needed fixed (and tried to put a mismatched button on a blouse instead), forgot a belt on one of my dresses, and messed up an alteration on pricey jeans. This place has hemmed my jeans perfectly (I'm 5'2 so a good alteration is key for me), taken out wine stains without a hitch and best of all, pressed and cleaned all my work clothes to the point of looking new. Important info: I DO NOT OWN AN IRON. Here's the backstory: I bought a new build it yourself Ikea couch on Saturday. It was being delivered and assembled Monday around 2pm. I had the couch cover, but didn't bother to look at the instructions until Sunday night. The instructions say to iron the cover. Makes sense because of the insane amount of creases from being folded and boxed for so long. If you don't iron it looks like shit. Cut to Monday morning at 9am. I used Yelp and found Regency Cleaners. Called them up explained the huge time crunch I was under and they said yes. Showed up 10 min later, dumped all 7 pieces on the counter and they handled it like champions! They were so nice and accommodating. Told them I needed them by 1pm. They also do a fab job on alterations, all the work is done by a seamstress with 20+ years of experience. The former owner, miss Jenny, was a delight. She was honest, hardworking, consistent and kind. I was a regular customer. Now there is a rude new owner who assured me Jenny was coming back. She then charged me $90 to hem and take in two garments that I previously would have been charged about $20 for. I returned, hoping she'd remember me and not try to screw me over again, but no such luck. She quoted me $35 for hemming a cotton skirt. When I told her 'Absolutely not' she promptly took out all the pins of my 6 pieces like a prize little sh*t. I will never go back. It's a shame, this place was a staple for me for 3 years. I have never in my life experienced this level of customer service, professionalism, and quality in a business. The owners at Regency Cleaners are some of the loveliest people I have yet to encounter, AND they are supremely skilled at what they do. I work in the fashion industry, representing designers, and there is no other dry cleaner from Los Feliz to Downtown LA that handles my garments as well as Regency. I have been visiting Regency for almost a year now and I bring them an assortment of fabrications with complicated stains from work photo shoots, travel, and trade shows, and without fail they return them to me in perfect condition. Recently I took them a vintage dress I had purchased, with a stain 5" in diameter, and that was probably as old as I am, and they removed it entirely. And the compliments continue: Not only will the owners offer you a discount for your first couple of visits, but they take your clothes to your car and hang them for you. Regency is the best. My bridesmaid recommended this establishment to me and am so glad that I trusted her judgement. I brought in my vintage couture wedding dress to be cleaned last week with a speedy deadline. It is a one-of-a-kind original, hand-painted jersey silk that required special attention. They did such a wonderful job of accomodating me within such a short amount of time and their professionalisim is over the top. My dress looked and felt beautiful! I hardly write reviews but my experience with Regency Cleaners has to be recorded. Last month Regency Cleaners cleaned my eight-year-old white linen, lined, custom, floor-to ceiling drapes like they've never been cleaned before. Here's how it happened: I called them. He said he needed to look at them first to make sure they could handle it (fair enough). I dropped by with stacks of drapes. They looked at the drapes (including a frank inspection of the puppy paw prints), measured them (they are huge -- a ton of fabric) and quoted me a very reasonable price. We made a deal. Together, with the lovely owner's wife, we pulled out all of the hooks. They kept the drapes one week. I checked in to pick them up. They weren't happy with the job -- puppy paw prints were still visible. So I left them another week (I didn't care as the room was being painted and I couldn't rehang them anyways and I really wanted them to be white again). I picked them up a little more than a week later. The drapes are brilliant white. AND they were pressed correctly with the pleats (so much so that I had a hard time finding the former hook holes). AND the paw prints are gone (they showed me before I paid)! I had little hope of those coming out as the last people who cleaned them did not get the paw prints out. Regency was my third try with these drapes and I am thrilled. They look gorgeous hanging back up in my freshly painted living room. Kudos, Regency! read more

So I went to Regency after reading the reviews on Yelp and I was not lead astray. Man, I never knew I would find such an enthusiastic and cheerful dry cleaners! The woman that greeted me and ended up taking care of me was so jubilant and cheerful and warm. She was immensely happy to have me in her store....I wanted to hop over the counter and give her a hug. I got a blazer and a pair of dress slacks cleaned for $9. I'm not a regular dry clean type of person so the cost is a-ok with me, and with such service...it's definitely worth it! read more

WOW! If you even live remotely close to this place, you must take all your clothing needs to this place. I had a very weird experience at my local cleaners in Glendale and not wanting to go through it again, I checked Yelp and found this place. It is on my way to work, which is great, but even if it wasn't I'd be making the drive. Everyone is always so happy to see me. They gave me a discount for my first load because I mentioned I saw them on Yelp. And they really are so nice as to help you out to your car. One time, the owner was in the restaurant next door ordering food, and she came out to help me to my car! WOW Despite all the goodness above, here is the best reason to go to Regency. I had a black tire smudge on light khaki pants. I tried everything to get it out and couldn't. So I brought it to Regency for a last ditch effort. Those pants came back cleaner than the day I bought them. You can't get that everywhere! These guys are magicians! And they're so super nice. And the price is unbeatable for the services and kindness. Please ditch your mean, slow, and worthless dry cleaners and come to Regency, you won't be disappointed! read more

I have been coming here for little over a year now, and everything has gone as expected. You can expect service with a smile and a "Hello, long time no see" happy exclamation from the owner, who likes to chat with you if there aren't too many customers in line. They really know their stuff here, and I am always satisfied with their work, whether it be just a clean and press, or a hem job, or replacing an "invisible zipper" as she called it (and she even warned me that it would be expensive before doing it). Just when I found a gem of a spot, there's been a change of ownership. I've been a few times since just to make sure and it seems the change was gradual. The certificates with the previous owners' names were taken down, the indoor plants moved out and now the faces + staff have changed. I wanted to give the new owners a shot so I kept going but this last time, I was upsold to dry clean rather than to wash + press certain shirts that I always get washed/pressed, not dry cleaned which is more expensive. Great service, amazing prices and quality cleaning. While now unemployed, I get to run errands during the day and had to find a dry cleaner relatively close to downtown. In trusting the yelp reviews, I chose Regency and first went in last week. Jenny is amazing. So nice, seriously nice. The kind of nice that I just don't know how to be... So all that aside, the cost of 3 suits, 3 men's shirts, and a tie was all about $30 (did i receive a first time discount.. i forget, but maybe). Regardless, the cost was so much cheaper than the Santa Monica cleaners my boyfriend had been using. The suits and shirts came back great, clean, crisp, feeling perfect and stains gone. This morning I took my daughters dress same dresses I took last week. Well last week I was charged $25 for both dresses and this morning she was charging me $36, really!? If she would have look up last week order she would had never told me she came me a discount last week cause I took 6pieces. After hearing my roommates rave about this place for months, I finally caved. I in took a wine-soaked cocktail dress and a white silk shirt that was a little worse for the wear after a wild Friday night. MIRACLE: the white shirt came back practically in better condition than when I purchased it at Macy's a month earlier. There was both wine and blood (really--don't ask, there was a shaving accident involved) on the shirt, and there was no trace of either when I picked it up from Regency. Unfortunately, the dress couldn't be salvaged. They did the best they could, but there was red wine ALL down the front of the dress, and the stain had set over a day or so. I'm sure if I'd brought it in more quickly they would've been able to save it. They were nice enough to ask if they could keep it a bit longer, so that they could try the spot removal process again. It was really nice that they made such a great effort to salvage my dress, and they did a better job than the first cleaners I took it to. They are excellent at Regency Cleaners. The clothing of mine that they altered came out great - as opposed to several others I (unfortunately) used in the neighborhood before I discovered them. They care very much about returning spotless garments, even dry cleaning twice at times, free of charge. Not to mention, they are very nice, always a smile as I pick up my dry cleaning. Minus one star because I come from NYC where tailoring is very advanced and altering custom garments is commonplace. However, this is not too necessary for a neighborhood tailor so I would highly recommend them! read more

BEWARE! I have been going to this place for 2-3 years and it used to be amazing with the previous owners but after multiple terrible experiences with the new owners, I will no longer be coming back. They have destroyed many of my clothing articles; stains still not out, faded the colors of my clothing and denies it, and shrank some of my dresses. Avoid this place! This place is really good. I take my clothes here all the time now since they reopened last year. Recently brought in a white trench coat that had a really bad stain down the front. I thought that perhaps the coat was a lost cause but the woman assured me that they'd do the best they could to remove it. Not only was it removed but the entire coat came back sparkling white just as I had purchased it. I've also had alterations on a few dress suits and a couple of jeans and both times they did a good job. It's a little pricier than you find in other local places but I'm willing to pay the extra price since they've proven to do a quality job.
