I was not. I was informed that it was "on the website somewhere." I investigated and there is a drop down that you can click at the very bottom of the page of the reservation summary. It's labeled hotel information and is completely separate from the deposit and fees drop down. It states, "Guests living within a 50 mile radius of the hotel will have an additional $200 per stay authorization or cash deposit that will be released upon checkout if no damage occur." I've stayed at other hotels that required a deposit, but never had I needed to provide one in cash. There is absolutely no reason for it. We had to stop off at an atm to get the money. The stay itself was fine. The jacuzzi was nice and everything was clean. The bed was comfortable and it was pretty quiet. The bed has a metal base so if you bump it there's a terribly loud noise. Breakfast was pathetic and there wasn't much to choose from. The icing on the cake was when we checked out and wanted our deposit back. Housekeeping checked our room and there was ONE washcloth that had some brown coloring from us wiping out the residue from the bath bomb we used. The hotel attendant asked, "What happened to the towels?" As if they were ruined or something. After I explained she seemed reluctant, but she did return my money. She also made a snide remark about my signature being "interesting" and that "no one will ever steal it that's for sure." What? I don't recommend unless you want undue hassle for a mediocre experience.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn by Hilton in Batesville, Arkansas, for two nights while attending the…read moreannual Cave City Watermelon Festival. Our total after-tax cost was $342, and unfortunately the overall condition of both the hotel and our guest room did not meet the level of quality I expect from the Hilton brand. I actually emailed management during my stay with detailed photos and a list of concerns because, as a hotel general manager myself, I believe issues should be brought directly to management first so they have an opportunity to address them. As of writing this review, I have not received a response. The staff members we interacted with were friendly and courteous, which I appreciate. However, the property's condition and attention to detail were disappointing. In our guest room (Room 410), we found numerous maintenance and cleanliness issues, including: * Wallpaper peeling from the walls in multiple locations * Shoe prints and dirt marks on the ceiling * Handprints and smudges on the walls * Greasy fingerprints on the entry door and headboard * Black mold visible inside the HVAC supply vents * Hair, dirt, and debris collected along the edges of the closet, bathroom, and entryway floors * Scrapes and dents in the drywall near the entrance * A loose toilet seat * Uneven bathroom tile with missing grout * Noticeable carpet stains between the beds and in front of the dresser area The deferred maintenance extended beyond the guest room as well. Wallpaper was peeling in the fourth-floor ice room and around the elevator lobby, giving the hotel a worn appearance. Breakfast was another disappointment. We arrived around 9:38 a.m., just before the end of service. While I understand breakfast was nearing its conclusion and the food that remained tasted good, the dining area was extremely messy. Counters were covered with food debris, empty serving pans remained out, and overall presentation suggested that the area had not been maintained throughout service. Regular tidying would have significantly improved the guest experience. None of these issues alone would have ruined our stay, but collectively they reflected a property that appears to be missing routine preventive maintenance and detailed housekeeping inspections. For the price we paid, I expected a much higher standard. Hampton Inn has built a reputation for consistency, cleanliness, and quality, and this property unfortunately did not reflect those expectations. I hope management takes these concerns seriously, performs a comprehensive room and public-area quality audit, and addresses both the maintenance deficiencies and housekeeping quality control. The employees were welcoming, but the property itself needs significant attention to meet the standards guests expect from the Hilton brand.

We felt grateful and glad that we chose this hotel as it was one of the safest places we've stayed in so far. Located off I-40, it was both convenient and easily accessible. We saw so many cars and trucks with trailers (moving just like us) parked next to us which made us feel even more safer. Our room was clean and just what we needed. Staff were courteous and the hotel was in great condition. There were renovations going on but that didn't cause any inconvenience while entering/exiting or during parking. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for both short & long term stays.

Second the pillow cases and some towels were stained. The pillow cases looked as if someone had slept on them or they forgot to take them out of the dryer. They were very wrinkled! They need to update their linens and towels. Nasty fly in the room killed it with the remote. He must have been on his last leg. Room smelled like feet and the bed was sooooo hard! The men's bathroom in the main area was nasty and all clogged up. Although the hotel is very quiet from outside noise but don't try to sleep in because the maids are busy slamming doors left and right, over and over. They need rubber stoppers to put in the door. Also the bathroom door the handle was jacked so it was hard to get it to even close. On another note tho the maids were very nice... so now I am torn

This hotel was nice, & I enjoyed the continental breakfast, but the lobby was very busy & crowded during that time. Either a longer time of offering breakfast or more seating (maybe even outside on a patio?) would probably help with that. I liked that this hotel had some great couches in the lobby area, where my family enjoyed hanging out & chatting, & it was great that there were plenty of electrical outlets in the area so we could charge our thirsty devices. This hotel was also at a convenient location--within walking distance from several restaurants & small shops. I would stay here again, if another trip brings me to the area.

The air conditioner in the room rattled so bad it made it hard to sleep at times. The treadmill in the "fitness center" was a joke. It was so old and squeaky it hurt my ears with every step. I will say though, the older woman who does the breakfast in the morning was always on time and so nice. Also, they took away the coffee pots in the room and now you have to go downstairs for coffee, which is a big turnoff for me. All in all I would not recommend this place. The issues with my room (I will add pictures) obviously have been there awhile and are known, yet they are not repaired. These kinds of issues don't just happen over night, they are from neglect and lack of cleanliness.
