What a great company! Had an issue with a subwoofer so I called Regent5 to troubleshoot. The tech was able to quickly identify the issue and told me the wires were set up wrong originally from the other crappy company I used before and it caused the Amp to short out. He was so informed that he told me the subwoofer manufacturer offers a 2 year warranty and got me the contact information to get it resolved. Then he marked each wire for me so I would know the exact way to install once I got the warranty replacement back. Can't say how wonderful this company is. I wanted to wait a few months to evaluate the systems that Regent5 installed at our Woodside residence and that moment has arrived. Cham and his crew upgraded both our alarm/fire and network systems as they were over 10yrs old and problematic. We have a fairly extensive property with 3 buildings all networked together but that did not phase Regent5! I was so pleased at the quality of workmanship and detail used by this crew especially on the alarm end of things where Tony had to build the entire system main board from scratch due to it's size and complexity - it didn't fit their standard enclosure. I got to watch some of this and was amazed at how professionally done it was and how great it all looked with the new touch screen system. So much easier to understand and use than any previous system we've had. Just love it! Same story on the network upgrade - all work done professionally and correctly the first time. Where we had some long runs between buildings required determination to replace an older, slower fiber optic line but the guys got it done and now we have excellent coverage overall where in some places it was missing before. So glad Regent5 was using the same commercial mesh routers I had specified for the job when I first spoke with them. We replaced a lot of hardware and after almost a year everything is operating perfectly, as I expected it should. I couldn't be happier that I used Regent5 for our project and would recommend them for any home large or small. They proved their value and were a very courteous, attentive group. Needed help with my Savant remote and was getting frustrated with the slow response from the person who set up my system. So I called Regent 5 on a weekend planning to leave a VM but actually got a live person who set up an appt with me for the next business day. Regent 5 was wonderful. They updated our internet and we now can use it from anywhere in our house. They also installed a Nest thermostat. Nothing is easy in our old house with very challenging wiring, but Cham, Abraham and Ullysis made it seem standard. When we had some difficulty with our new Nest thermostat they immediately sent out one of the guys to straighten it all out. I wish I had found Regent5 sooner. After years of struggling with a cobbled-together home tech system that never worked right plus several failed attempts by other companies to diagnose and fix it all, I finally got an answer and a solution from Regent5. They fixed slow/intermittent internet, weak WiFi, an improperly configured security camera system, a Sonos system that was mickey-moused together in a way that barely worked, and a few other critical things. They tested wiring, speeds, and settings, replaced what needed to be re-done (including sending someone up in the attic to run wires), set up the network, security system, home audio, and configured everything to work properly. They brought everything with them on install day (they purchased the equipment based on a detailed upfront evaluation) and explained exactly what they were doing at every step. No up-sell or pressure. The price was reasonable given their expertise and professionalism and they were absolutely top-notch all around. I will be working with them again on some extensions. These guys do home wiring/networking, computer configurations, backup systems, connectivity, everything to do with home security and camera security systems, home theater, audio (indoors and out), WiFi, ... THEY EVEN CALL COMCAST SO I DON'T HAVE TO... and every kind of home automation you can think of. And, bonus, they take privacy and security seriously and made some smart recommendations on that front. He is a great listener and happy and extremely helpful in working with a budget, dealing with our quirks and preferences, and in repurposing equipment where it makes sense. Supreb service! We wanted to have outdoor surveillance cameras installed. I requested quotes from many companies. Only two came out to look at the house. Everyone else just emailed me random quotes. Cham came out on a Sunday. I had the notion of installing outdoor Nest Cams. Only Cham gave me advice on the poor quality of outdoor Nest Cams compared to a traditional system, and the security problems with outdoor Nest Cams (needing AC power, wifi access, etc.) I was very impressed with how thorough he was in explaining everything to me. We ended up having a traditional system installed and couldn't be happier with the results. His team was professional, meticulous, and courteous. They did not leave any mess. The installation was efficient and beautiful. The camera quality was fantastic. Most of all, his price was very reasonable. I just went through a major home renovation and I found Cham to be not only the friendliest and fun to work with, but he was incredibly competent, helpful in explaining things, responsive, professional, neat and best of all proactive. He would anticipate issues and address them well in advance, without me prompting. Really a breath of fresh air for those who need to deal with folks in the "contractor" world. We had two TVs installed and wall-mounted, wiring throughout the home in-ceiling speakers in multiple rooms and universal remotes to control everything. He is best in class and takes his job seriously and wants to exceed your expectations. i also liked that he knew his stuff. Was up to speed on products and their strengths/weaknesses. For example, he gave me my full shopping list for everything we needed including in-ceiling speakers, receivers, remotes, etc. He also gave me options at varying price points explaining the pros and cons of each. My husband and his buddy tried to wall-mount our new TV themselves, and let's just say, it wasn't pretty. It was at the wrong height, angled weirdly, and they had snapped a few bolts in the process. We called 3 or 4 AV services, but we found a frustrating lack of follow-through and unresponsiveness. We got Cham to take our call on the first try, and he was at our home within 2 days! Cham did an awesome job for us, helping us remount the TV correctly, and untangling the rat's nest of wires left behind by the previous owner. The job turned into more of a project than Cham originally anticipated, but he still just asked for his original quote. We also found out that Cham is a man of many talents, and he will be the first guy we call when we reconfigure some lighting fixtures and need electrical help. Before the installation, Cham came out for a free consultation and provided some useful tips. As I write this review, I'm enjoying the handy work from Cham and his team, listening to the music from the audio system they set up for my place. A few things to note: 1) He is very timely and responsive: I was only two weeks away from moving into my new place, and realized I forgot to get some help with setting up the audio visual system. I found AV Druids on yelp and frantically called them. Cham was able to accommodate my schedule and stopped by the next day to do an assessment. Because some of the wires have to go through the crawl space, he recommended that all the installation be done before I move in so it won't get dusty. His team managed to complete the installation before I moved in. 2) He gives GREAT recommendation on what equipment to use: The previous owners left behind an older set of equipment so Cham recommended me to sell them and replace them with a different system. What a great recommendation. I can now use my phone to control all the music and listen to podcast, radio, and any music I have on my phone in any room. 3) His design element is fantastic. I asked for a clean esthetic and to hide all the equipment and wires, and that's what I got. The audio visual elements feel tucked away and not intrusive and the room feels really clean.
