We got a tub of raw shea butter here. The consistency and quality are great. We'll definitely be back.

I've been coming to this place for several years to mostly stock up on my favorite incense, ethnic knick knacks, and camaraderie with the co-owner behind the counter. However for the past year or so, I've become more turned off by this place because this young cat who's been behind the counter as of late has TERRIBLE customer service. He has never acknowledged me when I entered the store, doesn't speak unless you speak to him first and rarely does he look up from whatever he's doing (reading) to see if you need any assistance. Twice on different occassions I've taken a friend with me to this store to purchase incense and they noticed the same thing. This has got to change. Any business that doesn't acknowledge me as a customer, Black owned or not, doesn't deserve my money. Word is Bond.

Thanks Zulu for getting me great deals on body oils. Now I can smell fresh on any hot day in the summer!

They also have old cassette tapes, too, if you are a weirdo and a masochist. There are three rooms to explore and a little courtyard in between them all. I have to believe this space was a coffee house or something like that in a different life. The vinyl record collection is the emphasis, as it should be, and it is well-organized. There is some organization to some of the CDs but many of them are just stacked here and there. That is ok. If you are a musical dinosaur like some of us, some of the fun is in the hunt itself. The only drag is parking. Street parking is your only option and it is rough. The good news is there are some cool other shops in this area to explore, like books, beer, food, etc. Well worth a visit for music fans.

Full Contact Rock N Roll…read more My wife and I often park near this place often when going to Part Time Lover three blocks down on 30th. And until tonight, I was scared to go in... a shining well-lighted open door that says "OPEN" on an otherwise dark street, it looks "wierd" from the outside. Well, stepping inside all doubts are confirmed. This place is weird... DELIGHTFULLY weird! Cramped and quirky, this place is SUPER COOL. An endless supply of rock n roll and other t-shirts, used vinyl, with ratings on the front showing condition of cover and the vinyl. For instance G/VG means cover is only "good" but the vinyl is "very good" I ended up buying like five record albums I was not expecting too. Okay, on to the best part. David. Super-cool-looking rock-n-roll David. Shy David. David the proprietor who barely let me take his picture for my Yelp review. A guy with cool stories about the stuff he has, and personal experiences with artists and recording stars. The first record he ever bought was Johnny Cash (cuz I was there on the hunt for Cash on behalf of my wife, came away with three used Cash records) You gotta step inside this place and see what happens. Super cool. Bringing my wife back here to go through his Elvis albums. Elvis is on sale right now because he has a bunch, and when the ELVIS movie came out they were hot but it's died down. Not in my wife's heart, Elvis hasn't!

Today I had a rather complex purchase/exchange I needed done, and Angel couldn't have been more helpful. He was very professional in how he handled everything. They also have a large selection of Japanese manga too which I've not seen at other stores and was cool to see! We browsed their games and Pokemon cards as well. They had a lot of consoles and handhelds. They had a lot of dvds and blueray. Their regular book selection was extensive though I didn't look too much as it wasn't why I was there and my husband and kids were wanting to go get dinner. Overall while it was a very cool place, I feel like the pricing left a lot to be desired. Most of the manga I came across that I was interested in were priced very close to or at MSRP and the figures were disappointing bc every single one that I recognized and happened to know the going price on was significantly higher than it should be -- even super used ones that had no box were priced higher than you could get them for brand new! So even though I wanted to take the time to dig through the chaos and find a gem it made me hesitant bc i figured that even if I did find something I wanted, the odds were likely that it would be marked well over its value

My review is based on the date I visited (11/2/25)** Super super cool and unique store with so so many DVDs, records, CDs, etc.! Especially considering each item is only $2, and there are some incredible finds! For example, most thrift stores in my experience sell DVDS for $3-$6 each and tv show boxed sets (like singular seasons) for $5-$12 each. Again, everything here is just $2 each, even those boxed set finds! Keep in mind, at least as of today, this place is overflowing with items. I highly recommend wearing a mask and gloves because it is DUSTY and some you can tell are clearly originally from smoker homes and reek of cigarettes. The back rooms are very tight with no air flow. The walkways right now are VERY narrow. There is no way any kind of mobility device or crutches could get through there. Not even close. I am also a thin individual and had a hard time squeezing through the walk ways. Unfortunately, a fat individual would not be able to walk through them, which is all disappointing because everyone should get a chance to check this place out! You can't even get to some of the DVDs because they are in boxes that are piled about 6 or 7 high and maybe 5 or 6 boxes deep. I'm sure I could have found even more if it was in a bigger space where I could have reached 80% of the merchandise! I do not recommend going in here if you are claustrophobic (I am, and had to just keep thinking of what my route out would be to ease my anxiety) or if you have any trauma around hoarding. It honestly looks like a legitimate hoarder's home in here. The closer you get to the bathroom (where the clothes are kept), the more little fruit fly-type of bugs you come across, which is pretty gross. The bathroom itself is also filled with things, and I imagine it's a bit hazardous to be back there . There is no way for things to really properly dry because there aren't windows in the bathroom and it's filled with things. I just don't fully trust there isn't some mold starting to grow near the clothes/in the bathroom I highly recommend this business get more shelving instead of just stacking so that people can find more of their items, or somehow expand to a bigger space....or wait for much more to be sold before getting any new items maybe a de-humidifier as well, and keeping items out of the bathroom. I also can't imagine what would happen if an earthquake happened or a fire broke out in here. I think all the customers would be trapped All in all, I still plan to go back to this place because there are just so many good finds for so cheap!

Their cassette collection leans towards the 90s and 2000s, which I'm not complaining. I thought the price point would be expensive for these vintage finds, but they are so cheap ($5 for The Beach Boys and $9 for Pink Floyd). The dominant genres are alternative and rap. I didn't look too deep into their vinyl records but they got a good mixture of current mainstream to hip hop mainstream - from Daniel Caesar to Vanilla Ice (good stuff). They also have CDs, pins, and vintage shirts. I didn't dig through the CDs and pins, but their curated shirts are pretty top-notch - from Ralp Lauren to 80s Nike (designs look like they were out of MTV during their neon days). The prices are a bit pricey ($30ish). One thing I thought that was very interesting is the bowls made out of discarded vinyl records. It's the coolest thing I have ever seen.
