Lasagna with meat sauce and pesto penne

Amazing food and service. We got the mixed bruschetta appetizer, lasagna with meat sauce, penne pasta, steak enconte and grilled chicken breast. Everything was wonderful as we dined along the water watching the sunset. The best part was the free limoncello shots and chocolates at the end. Highly recommend.

Excellent supper. The baccalà antipasto was amazing. Followed it up with polenta with squid in ink also really good. Good value, great cooking, lovely people.

The hidden (well maybe not hidden) gem in Venice! L'Oste-Ria was a recommendation from the front desk of palazzo Cendon! Our first try was on a Tuesday and they were closed. Everyone deserves a day of rest! I went on line to their website and made reservations for dinner the same night. The email response was quick and will always be appreciated for its simplicity. No international dialing, just a confirmation. The menus is simple, featuring a number of seafood items! As this was our last day in Venice, we opted for the shellfish route! The kitchen is right in the front window where the chef is picking his herbs right off the window tiles of wine and wine by the glass (which was not noted on the wine list) which I can overlook. The service was impeccable and the manager was on top of the entire experience! If you have the opportunity, take advantage and resist the lines at restaurants nearer the bridge and enjoy an excellent meal and experience!

The waiter is very friendly and invite us to have lunch, and menu price look reasonable so let's go for it. We ordered clam and mussels. So amazing and yummy, especially the soup! I really want to finish all of it. The scallop spaghetti is also very yummy. I love this place. Good vibe, friendly service, and most important is the food quality. 5 stars for sure. For dinner in peak season, try to make a reservation as the restaurant is very small. We arrived before our reservation time and were seated immediately inside and greeted warmly by the restaurant owner. We ordered a bottle of wine to start (most under 20 Euros for a 75 ML bottle). For appetizers we ordered the cheese with honey for 13 Euros, absolutely amazing! We also combined this with the local olive oil and fresh bread brought to the table to start as well. For our second course we chose two pastas, the Penne Alla Amatriciana (I think it was around 12 Euros), and the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara (I think it was around 12 Euros as well). Both had extremely fresh homemade ingredients and were out of this world and extreme attention to care in the preparation. For our entree we split the breaded pork chop (I think it was around 20 Euros), including a side of potatoes (similar to the steak fries that you would see in the U.S.) The service was absolutely amazing and we loved dining alongside the owner and his family and meeting the cat that also lives at the restaurant and comes by to greet you during the meal as well. It truly was like you were dining at the home of the owner and is a must try if you are in Venice!
