If you are looking for great authentic Salvadorian food like the kind you had from your auntie/Tia's house or your Mama who learned from your Grandmother's cooking skills, this is it; they have plenty of antojitos/ cravings to choose from. The food is always tasty; it's cooked to order; it usually takes about 20-30 minutes for the Ladies/cooks to prepare it for you, so call ahead or be patient. I like to order their soups chicken, beef, or sopa de Pata soup depending on what I'm craving; their portions are enough to share with three handmade corn tortillas pint of rice. Its location is not the best; however, if the food is excellent, I am there regardless of its location I'll add more pictures later

    Steak Burrito

I came on a Saturday and noticed a $6 steak Burrito option in the menu so I ordered that. The green salsa was ok, it had a nice taste. The red salsa was very watery with little kick, nothing special. The chips were the very thick kind that I do not prefer. The steak Burrito was warm and came with cheese, mostly white rice, pico de gallo and sour cream. I did not like the taste or texture of the meat. The steak had little taste and a funny texture. I never order steak from anywhere because there are so many different kinds of steak. At home I only eat Sirloin or flank or skirt. The staff was friendly. There are just too many Taquerias in this area to favor this one.

Food was disgusting! Don't recommend to anyone. Staff are rude. Owner is probably the reason why they are not friendly.

I am so disappointed at the food changes and feeling bad to give a bad review as I love supporting small businesses and love Salvadorean food. There's a lot of room to improve. I've been eating Salvi food since I was child. If you order to go check before you leave. I had an item missing. I called and was able to get a refund. She handled it nice too since she forgot to add it. I took food to go. I added pictures on all. The tamales both chipilin and pork were good. The masa was excellent. The size was small to medium. The pupusas are tiny, they are good but nothing extraordinary. As they are small there's no cheese stretch or a good feel about the filling. The masa is good. The quesadilla pasty was crumbly, it did not feel fresh. It was dry with no flavor compared to ones I've eaten before. The best Salvi quesadillas are moist. The guava, pineapple, and custard empanada pastry were small. The pineapple one did not feel fresh, more on the dry side, crumbly compared to other flavors. The pork empanada was probably the worst. They were tiny with hardly any filling. The empanadas usually have a ground meat or shredded chicken. This one had pieces of pork so it was not flavorful at all. There's table seating indoors and outdoors. The yucca con chicharron was okay too. Usually it comes with a salad like but this one came with 1 beet, 1 slice of tomato and 1 slice of cucumber with a small bag of curtido. No sauce. Tip: The server gave me a business card and recommended to call for orders to go as the waiting time was 30 minutes. I did not mind waiting. I appreciated her sharing this. Tip: recommend the pork tamal. The pupusas if hungry get at least 3.

Despite being bilingual and of Mexican descent, I was treated differently because I spoke English. Due to the stress of caring for a sick son, I was somewhat distracted. After paying for my order, I briefly stepped away to retrieve rice pudding and salsa, then encountered a nephew and placed my food next to the items I had already paid for. In my haste, I inadvertently took everything and exited the store, only to be confronted by the entire staff, who alleged that I had not paid for the pudding. I produced my receipt, which confirmed their suspicion, and returned the pudding. However, the security guard had already blocked my vehicle and was not permitting me to leave. I attempted to reverse, but he jumped onto the hood of my car. Eventually, he disembarked, and I was allowed to depart. Upon reviewing my receipt, I discovered that I had been charged for sodas that were not provided. I returned to the restaurant to collect the sodas and informed security that their actions were unjustified. I am currently consulting with an attorney regarding my rights, as I believe I was a victim of assault, battery, false imprisonment, and property damage. What happened to me is crazy today I went in to order my food to go. First of all I get treated her different because I speak English. I am Mexican I also speak Spanish and understand. Today like the food that's why I go back but I'm done. I been under stress due to a sick son. I was approached by what looked like the entire staff. I showed them the receipt I noticed pudding was not on receipt just then I gave them back there pudding security had already jumped on my car and was not allowing me to leave I tried to back up by then he was on the hood of my car. He finally got off my car and allowed me to leave finally. I pulled over up the street to review my receipt they charged me for sodas. I went back to get the sodas. I let security know he was totally wrong I will file formal complaint as holding me against my will is assault among other charge. I called the Supermarket office to let them know about it and to stop selling an item that does not fit the real thing.
