Since then, I've been to several other facial places and estheticians, and none have compared to the quality of facials I've had at Sandra. It is undeniable that every esthetician on this team (including the one I had the negative experience with) is exceptional at giving facials. And, overtime, the positive experiences have accumulated and outweighed the negative one. Recently, I had a skin analysis with Sandra herself. She was detailed, patient, and answered every single one of my (many) questions. The products she recommended have genuinely transformed my skin -- I trust her recommendations and trust her with my skin (huge deal for me!) and am planning on doing some more intense treatments with her. I've had 10 prior microneedling sessions done at certified dermatologist offices with great results. as soon as my treatment at wellness med began, I knew I had wasted my money. this girl was not at all experienced. she applied way too much force on the hallow parts of my face (my cheekbones) and hardly applied any pressure on areas of my face that needed to be targeted. She also scratched my face with the pen multiple times. It was very clear this girl had no idea what she was doing. I had to tell her where to apply the correct amount of pressure because she was hurting me. The treatment lasted for 10 minutes, and she tried telling me she was done. $450 for 10 minutes of micro-needling treatment. I told the girl she barely did anything and had to ask her to go over my face again. It was a waste of my time and money. word of advice to wellness med art: don't recommend services to clients if you don't have properly trained staff.. I recommend going to a dermatologist for any form of micro-needling services. what a joke.

According the website, they also perform coffee enemas (didn't think that was really a thing), ear candling & ionic baths. It appears she is licensed in waxing as well as per one of the many certificates on the wall. The woman was very sweet & gracious (though I was 20 minutes late after taking the wrong train) while guiding my frustrated a$$ to her office over the phone. The waiting area & facilities are very clean & inviting; pleasant lighting, incense, simple decor. She escorted me to the treatment room, took my coat, offered a seat on a comfy armchair & gave me a medical history form to fill out. During our discussion about my reason for the visit, she gave a brief lesson of how the digestive system works and how colonics could benefit my condition. She then showed me the brand new nozzle still in the sealed pack and explained how to use it. BWC uses an OPEN machine, which is operated by the patient and the patient must use their muscles to hold and release the water - unlike the CLOSED device where the therapist stays in the room with you and operates the machine. It took several minutes for me to figure it out and I had to intercom the lady a couple times for advice. Its awkward, potentially messy & a little tiring but it got the job done. We didn't see Dr. Iffa on this visit but (Dr.) Mimi her assistant was a blessing. It's Dr. Sadique's office but I understand other specialist MDs practice here periodically. I went here ONLY for birth control, which my insurance pays in full without me having to pay copay…read more When I got there, the receptionist insists that I have to pay the 50 dollar copay because they are a "specialty doc" despite the fact that I am not there for ANY of their "special services". So I had her call my insurance and finally didn't have to pay copay. During the visit the doctor asked me general routine questions about my period. When I got the bill from my insurance, they labeled the visit as a "medical visit" because they made a diagnosis of "irregular period" from my answer of the routine questions regarding my period. And because they made a diagnosis, it was now considered a medical visit and not a contraceptive-only visit and thus I have to pay 50 for the "diagnosis and services" they provided. WHAT SERVICES? They asked me a question, I gave them an answer, and THAT WAS IT. I hate this place for making me pay 50 for answering a routine question. Whether you're rich or poor, that 50 could've been well spent on something other than answering a question. In addition, the doctor only asked me what contraceptive I wanted without giving me proper info. When I asked what the differences were, his answer was a dismissive, "They're all the same."

On Thursday, May 21, I received a call saying that my appointment was being canceled because something was being taken care of at the office. Then, on Thursday, May 28, I received a call saying I had an appointment scheduled for Friday, May 29 at 1:00 p.m. I immediately explained that I had not made that appointment and that 1:00 p.m. did not work for me. I was told that everyone from the previous week had been rescheduled. I explained that I could make 10:00 a.m. or reschedule for another day, but I could not make 12:00 or 1:00. I was clear that I was not available for that appointment time and would call back to reschedule as I was at work. When I called back on May 29, I was told I had been marked as a no-call/no-show and that one of my prepaid appointments would be deducted from my package. This was completely unfair. My original appointment was canceled by the office, and then I was placed into a new appointment time without my agreement. When I was called about that rescheduled appointment, I clearly said I could not attend at that time. I asked management to review the case. When I arrived for my next appointment on Friday, June 5, I asked whether management had reviewed the issue. I was told they had reached out but had not received a response. It had been a full week, and no one had followed up with me. I was again told that I would still be charged one of my appointments because they considered me a no-call/no-show. The situation became even worse when the laser technician, Yohanny came out and spoke to me rudely. She said she did not understand the problem and repeatedly made it seem as though I was at fault. During the treatment, she continued to bring up the situation, asked whether I wanted the service or not, and made me feel uncomfortable while I was already undressed for the appointment. Her tone was dismissive and unprofessional. At one point, I was uncomfortable enough to ask whether she was going to hurt me. Instead of reassuring me professionally, she dismissed my concern. During the actual laser treatment, she did not check in to ask whether the laser felt okay, whether I was comfortable, or whether the setting was painful. That is not acceptable during a laser treatment, especially after a tense interaction. I also want to note that I spoke to the staff in Spanish, even though English is my first language, in an attempt to communicate clearly and respectfully. Despite that, I was spoken to rudely and at one point was asked, "Are you going to let me speak?" The issue was not a misunderstanding on my part. The office canceled my original appointment, rescheduled me without confirming my availability, kept an appointment on the books after I said I could not attend, and then penalized me for not showing up. I prepaid for a package, and instead of receiving professional service, I was blamed for the office's scheduling mistake and treated disrespectfully. At this point, they can keep the remaining appointments because I do not feel safe returning to this office or being treated by someone so rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend this location based on the poor communication, lack of accountability, and unacceptable customer service.
