I was interested in a service that was booked 3 weeks out. I made an appointment online for a consult - or at least I clicked schedule a consult- it said it was free but when I went to book a time for the consult it asked for a $75 deposit for a service. It didn't mention anything about non refundable. The cancellation policy is 48 hours prior to appointment. So I booked what I thought was a free consultation. Unfortunately when I talked to my doctor, due to upcoming procedures, they asked me to not get the treatment. I couldn't figure out how to cancel my consultation online so I called to cancel 6 days before my appointment. I said my doctor isn't allowing the appointment so I need to cancel my consultation. The lady said no problem we'll hold your deposit for your next appointment. I advised I didn't know that I was making one due to my doctor not recommending the treatment for me. She said oh well I can't give you the $75 back. I asked why as I was well outside the cancellation policy, I booked what I thought was a free consult, and no where does the $75 deposit say not refundable. The receptionist said I'm sorry but I can't give you the $75 back. For that reason I don't recommend this business. To keep someone's money who was coming for a free consult isn't acceptable. To keep someone's money who cancelled within cancellation period is unacceptable. No where onljne when you pay the $75 does it say non refundable. So unless you are 100% sure you will receive a service from this business I highly advise against booking anything with them. read more

I didn't know what to expect as I was in Syracuse for the weekend visiting my daughter. I thought massages would be a great treat. This place was wonderful. Located in an old arts and craft style home, I was escorted to a fragrant room lit with candles and a cozy fireplace. Tension left me immediately! I had the hot stone massage, my daughter had the Swedish and we left there on another plane -- so relaxed and rejuvenated. Not too harsh, not too soft, just right. I will definitely come again and bought my daughter a gift certificate so she can be a repeat customer. Keep in mind gift certificates only last a year but on the good side they keep them on file there, if you like, so that's one less piece of paper my daughter has to locate 3 months from now .. she can just pick up the phone and call. read more

I bought myself a spa package for my birthday and was very disappointed. The facial was mediocre and the hot stone massage involved not a single stone and the wrap wrapped my legs for about 2 minutes. I left totally pissed. Happy 25th to me, what a waste of money. I came here in dire need of a massage, and as they popped up via Google for Reflexology and looked legit, I thought I found the best place to go. First appearance, walking inside, it was actually really quite nice and welcoming. I filled out my paperwork and was brought to a room, and even then....all seemed amazing. I had scheduled a 60-minute reflexology appointment, but had asked if there was any way to do some shoulder work as an "add on," as I had some horrible knots that were giving me headaches. To my appeasement, the lady said she could do 20-minutes on my shoulders and spend the remaining time on my feet, which I was over the moon about. Now, it came time for the massage, and again, I was so excited and needing this.... I have some very good friends who are massage therapists and one who was even the main instructor at the school here in Syracuse, so I understand that they utilize elbows and the balls of the palms; not just hands and fingers. However, not once did I feel any fingers or hands really trying to seek out my knots. Instead, I just felt a whole lot of elbow pressure rubbing up and down my back. It's fine, but when they're so embedded in there, as I had vocalized, you need to get in there a bit better. Also, and please forgive how horrible this may sound, as it is not my intention to be rude nor mean, but people who carry a bit more weight on their bodies....well, their elbows tend to be a lot softer and ineffective than someone of leaner proportions, so it felt like I was being compressed at times by a somewhat cushioned foam roller, but without the benefit of kneading out the deeper knots. I didn't say anything, because I thought it was simply part of the process and the massage therapist would change her methods, but nope. In all fairness....the excess pressure on my upper traps did relieve some of the stress and my headache, but the knots were not touched even a bit throughout my shoulder blades. Now, onto the feet. I mentioned the paperwork I had to fill out in the beginning, and there was a question asking what type of pressure I prefer. I circled both Medium and Firm pressure, neglecting the option for Light pressure. Well, the entire time....Light pressure and no seeking out knots or even the crinkly fascia.....just light, circular motions. At this point, I gave up and fell asleep, because while it didn't do anything toward the goals I had written down for digging out knots and loosening up fascia, if did act as a great sedation. Overall, the ambiance was great, accommodations and staff were on par and friendly, but I've had better massages from friends and strangers without the certifications. I truly wish I could give a better review, but since then, I went to another therapist and got EXACTLY what I was looking for. read more

I would love to say that I went to this spa and had a wonderful experience but unfortunately, I was never able to get my foot in the door. I bought my mother a gift card for her birthday a year ago. She misplaced it and just discovered it while cleaning. It expired a month ago. She was hoping to make an appointment for next week and if she liked it, was planning on becoming a regular. When she called to book the appointment, she was told that they couldn't help her because the $100 card expired a month ago and if they made an exception for her, they would have to make an exception for everyone. I get where they are coming from, I really do but it surprised me that they made absolutely no effort to help us out in any way. They didn't offer to share their current specials with us or perhaps throw a coupon our way as a potential new customer. Nothing. Just a polite but short, sorry can't help you. I considered pushing a little bit harder but as a customer service based business one would think that they would be interested in attracting new regular customers, so is that really the kind of place I want to patronize? I visited Rejuvenations Day spa as I have been recovering from surgery and months of physical therapy. The atmosphere was relaxing and peaceful.The staff were friendly and attentive. When I arrived, my muscles and joints were tight and I was suffering from nerve pain in one shoulder. After the session, the nerve pain was gone, I felt limber, walked better and had more energy. My experience at Rejuvenations went well because the therapist took into account my disability and applied appropriate pressure to sensitive areas. The therapist was able to explain why was experiencing pain in certain places. I will be visiting Rejuvenations again as part of a regular health routine. read more

This from the beginning had a bad feeling. I called and left messages for several weeks with one call back from the spa. When I finally got a female with an attitude on the phone, I explained to her that my gift card had expired a month earlier but I really want to use it. In her most rude full of attitude voice she told me the policy was to charge a $ 20 additional fee per service and that I could only come during the week so I agree bad idea. I checked the site and could not find such a policy. I get there and again with attitude she informs me that usually clients pay prior to receiving the services. I told her I would wait. At that moment a women walked down the steps and paid for her services and left. I was handed a stack of forms to complete. By the time my facial started it was about 15- 20 minutes passed the start time. She started the facial and then left in the room for about 20 minutes alone. I could hear a lot of banging around. So I received about 20 minutes of what should have been a 50 minute facial. I have had many facial and they did not leave alone for part of your facial a 50 minute facial is a 50 minute facial. When I went there. At first I was a little nervous because it was in a house and the neighborhood around is a mixture of residential and business so I didn't know what to expect. Inside the building the owner renovated it to be a business, so it has the Spa atmosphere not the residential feel. The waiting area is small location situated around a built in fireplace across from the front desk. I had forms I had to fill out for the massage. I was lead up stairs where their treatments rooms were. The massage room was beautiful and spacious, it was bigger then the waiting area. The room also had a fireplace..but one of those portable ones. The massage was very good, she did a great job. I would give it 5 stars..but it isn't Mirabeau which is reflect in the price. So if you want a cheaper place to get some great services this is it....but you don't get a locker room, shower room, beverages served, nor a jacuzzi. read more
