They are the best, I truly trust them with my dogs. They are customer oriented not only towards humans but such great care and detail for the furry babies. One of my dogs is very allergic to certain items and they take great care that she is never exposed to them . Their grooming is efficient and spectacular! Payment is a breeze, they will pick up and drop off the pup and put cute little bandanas, bows or flowers on them. I love that you can call and have anything there delivered usually same day to your doorman and they have great sales and prices round the year on items. Their toy collection is amazing - they have really cute items you do not see anywhere else. Added bonus: they will call your vet and get the vaccination records so you do not have to fuss with. They're spectacular and one of my dogs always tries to tug us towards Releash on walks because she loves them so much! Total ripoff. I have a small 8lb dog and I was charged 185 excluding tip. They added another 30 because he was matted even though I brush him daily (they informed me about it over the phone). This is the to go spot for food, snacks clothing and accessories for my pup, the staff is always friendly, and informative. I've had my pup groomed in different places but hands down to Kris, their groomer does an AMAZING job, you can tell how passionate he is about his job. The girls in the front make sure to ask what is it that we want or you can always send them a picture of what you'd like your pup to look like if you are like me and don't understand much about the terminology. When they don't have an item in stock they will order it for you. If you are nearby the UWS I would highly recommend this place. BUYER BEWARE!!!! I don't normally like to give bad reviews because I'm not in the business of publicly shaming people but this place is just awful!!!! First, I bought a jacket for my dog that I would've bought on the brand's website (Canada Pooch) like I normally do, but this place had it in stock so I went and got it there. Once I got home I looked at the receipt and the jacket was marked up 45% from the brand's website! I could see a $5-10 markup, but 45% is just outrageous. I tried going back within 30 minutes and they said "no refunds, only store credit" to me. This put a bad taste in my mouth because I didn't feel comfortable giving my hard earned money to a place that takes advantage of people like that. Unfortunately, I had to take the credit and decided to use it towards a grooming the next time our dog needed one. It gets worse. When we took our dog in for a grooming appointment, which is WAY overpriced, I gave specific instructions to only take off a little all over except the head. The person at the counter said that our dog's hair on her body was about 2.5 inches so taking 1 inch off would be a little. I then said to take almost none off the head and to just clean up her beard and ears. When we got her back, our dog was shaved down to about 1/4 in length! Her head was also shaved down, too, making it look like a brush cut. When calling to address the issue, the woman at the front started yelling at me, basically calling me a liar and denying the details I gave in our original conversation. To be clear, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! You'll thank me for it. Go to any other groomer or pet store. That is unless you like to get ripped off in both price and service. read more

Very nice staff however I went in looking for food and got sent home with samples of raw food that had been recalled a week before. Thankfully I checked before giving my dog any. I couldn't trust anyone with my puppy with grooming after all the experiences I had with other groomers but this place is outstanding! The moment I walked in, I saw smiley faces, can't remember the name but the receptionist was very welcoming. She answered all our questions, specifically went over all the details on how we want our pup to look like. At the time when I took him to Releash my dog had a very bad infection right under his eye and I reminded them to be carefull with his eye area and they took it very seriously. It needed to be cleaned throughly in order to heal and they treated my dog like their owns when I asked them to specifally use scissors while grooming his eye area, even though I was not there I'm certain that they listened to my needs. I went over all the yelp pages of groomers people suggested me, Releash was suggested to me by my dog's Vet and that's why I felt safe with. And I'm very glad I listened to him. The infection under his eye is healing better now that it's clean and I can't wait to go back there to have my pup groomed and feel welcomed with smiley faces! Releash went above and beyond for our pup! We just moved here, and told Releash our pup has had bad grooming experiences before. They were extremely friendly, even called me ahead of time to walk through how they treat the dogs while in their care. When I dropped him off they asked all the right questions, and did a great job. He has never looked so fluffy and smelled so good. My pup had a wonderful time, and is not scared of the groomers anymore. They have fantastic facilities that are very clean and the staff really knows what they are doing. The price was also reasonable and less than we were paying on the UES before we moved. I hate to say anything negative about this place, especially since so many commenters have had such great experiences. It could be that they're inconsistent and/or we got a groomer who was having an "off" day. It happens. We got our puppy groomed here because Releash doesn't give refunds for retail products you buy, they give you store credit (something to also note--really poor form especially considering we were returning a brand new, unused items, especially in this competitive climate). So, instead of getting other over-priced products, we decided to use it for a grooming instead. We took our puppy in since she was getting just a bit too shaggy and gave specific instructions not to cut any hair off the top of her head. However, they gave her a nice and tight fade on her head and cut it a bit too short overall considering its winter. That's all ok because we get it--hair grows back--but what really turned me off was when my husband called them to talk about why they'd taken her a crew cut hair off her head, he said they basically screamed at him and called him a liar. But like I said--we get it. We all have an off day every now and then. So, just give me 50% of my money back for a job you didn't do well. And I don't want that as store credit. And if I screamed at any of my clients, I would expect to be fired immediately. Even if I yelled at them for something that was their fault. Anyway: - my dog is clean. And smells good. - they gave her a very cute bandanna with candy canes on it so now I can take pictures of her under our Christmas tree and force all our friends to have to look at it when it becomes the front of our Christmas cards. All in all, the place is just OK. Prices are way too high for what you get. We'll keep going to Snowball in the future. They can really rock a grooming. read more

Absolutely love Releash! My dog has always been very scared when going to other groomers. In fact, she will fight me the last few steps; NOT with Releash, she actually WANTS to go in! Every time we walk past ( it's in our 'hood) she stops at the door *(and it's not just because of treats, other places also have treats). I guess she feels safe and that gives me a great vibe. Staff is very friendly & knowledgeable. Prices are always the same & posted clearly and you can do add-ons (pawdicure!). The first time I took my dog there, they asked for a picture of my favorite haircut. They did an even better job. They also have some toys, coats, leashes and our favorite. .doggie ice cream! Very dissatisfied. I was extremely disappointed in my last experience bringing my dogs for grooming. Without getting overly descriptive of what occurred, when I called to express my displeasure, I felt as if I was being patronized. "Sorry for the inconvenience and tell your dog that as well", was an odd response to my complaint. When I said I might have to bring one of the dogs to the vet, I was told, " keep us posted". It's now over a week and my dog is fine however, I never received a follow up phone call from anyone there. Really poor service! In addition, the groomer doesn't fully get the concept of evenly cutting our dogs hair. A number of times, we had to bring the dogs back for touch ups. Such a great place for my little schnoodle Tucker! Tucker goes to daycare here twice a week and is always running towards the releash whenever we walk by. He comes back exhausted from playing and absolutely loves the staff. The staff is very attentive and also does a great job with grooming. We LOVE Releash, the staff are fabulous, they give me the same person to wash each time so I know they are aware of my little Yogi's special needs and what he likes and doesn't like. Chris, Yogi's groomer, is fabulous with yogi's groom, does exactly what i ask and we go there once a week for a teeth cleaning, which is really great, and he is very gentle with my little boy, a teacup poodle.
