Between work and everything else, I just don't have time, so I kept postponing it. One night I was watching TV and saw a Safelite commercial (which my insurance provider had also referred me to). What first caught my attention was the music -- it's by my favorite band -- but what sold me was the message that they'll come to your home or office to replace the windshield. I went online right then, booked an appointment for them to come to my house, and that was it. I didn't have to lift a finger afterward. The technician showed up right on time during the scheduled window. You honestly wouldn't have even known he was there unless you were looking for him. I stepped outside when he first arrived, and the whole process was smooth, professional, and incredibly convenient. If you need windshield work done and hate the hassle of taking your car in somewhere, do yourself a favor and use Safelite. This was the easiest automotive service experience I've ever had. Auburn Detail gets 2 stars from me…read more I've used them twice. The actual detailing work on my boat was good, but both experiences created significant issues that cost me a lot of time. The first time, they left the key on after detailing, which drained both batteries. When I launched the boat, neither battery had enough power to start. I spent nearly four hours troubleshooting the issue - to his credit, the owner offered to cover the cleaning cost of my boat cover ($75), which I appreciated, but the lost time was far more valuable than the reimbursement. The second time, I picked up the boat and discovered that the mussel seal tag had been broken. That immediately voided my containment status and meant I had to arrange for a decontamination inspection before launching again. In my case, that required scheduling an appointment at Rollins Lake, changing travel plans, and spending additional time dealing with the issue. The decontamination cost is about $150, which the owner promptly offered to reimburse, but again, the money wasn't really the problem. The bigger issue was the time, inconvenience, and disruption to my plans. While the costs associated with these issues were ultimately somewhat addressed, the bigger problem was the time, disruption, and frustration caused by two separate, avoidable incidents. It felt like the impact on my time and plans was never fully appreciated. After these experiences, I've decided I won't be using Auburn Detail again.

I came into Collision pros because of a rodent infestation that tore up a lot of wiring in my Ford Ranger truck. There was a problem with my after market alarm because of the wiring was chewed by the rodents and Ty worked with AAA to get a new one installed. After replacing the truck wiring and alarm wiring we found out there was still a problem with my Ac system presumably from the rodents and Ty worked with AAA again to make sure everything was working 100% before I got my truck back. I wanted to send out a special thank you to Ty and Collision Pros in Auburn for really taking great care of me from start to finish even know my truck had a lot of work to be fixed from those pesky rodents. Ty was great with communication the whole way and even got me a ride home after dropping off my truck.

Went to Alta Sierra Family Automative today because it was close and had great Yelp reviews…read more Wasn't disappointed. The owner, Tim, is a friendly talkative guy. Seemed like a guy I could trust. Had the same feeling about Chris, the the technician that worked on my father in-law's truck. Both seem like straight shooters. No up sell nonsense you get at the cheapie lube places. All I needed was an oil change and filter and an inspection; it wasn't cheap but I thought it was fair. (This was my late father-in-law's truck that I will be selling soon.) Chris diagnosed a rattle sound as the timing chain. He was very confident about that. The inspection found that the tires were 15 years old and severely cracked and therefore needed replacing immediately. Tim recommend a tire shop down the street, so I promptly went there and had them replaced. Also, the inspection found other issues that could be addressed; however, there was no sale angle for these issue (they were not offering to fix them). When I got home (don't live locally), I checked with other mechanics about the rattle. They thought it could just be a pulley. Had them remove the belts (at my expense) and listen again. Yep, unfortunately, it was the timing chain; Chris got it right. (On a personal note, Tim had sympathy for me as I was in the area just to complete a necessary but thankless family task. He had already been through a similar situation himself, so was quite knowledgeable how things should be handled. That was comforting. Seemed like I was talking to an old friend.) Don't live here; just up here for family matters, but if I did live here, I would trust this shop to work on my car and provide me with truthful information about my car; that is a big comfort these days.

I had two repairs done in the same vehicle location. My insurance paid at least $9-11k to have this done. The front right side plastic part was coming off. I had been meaning to take it for a while but as a business owner I found no time. The manager at the grass valley location lied straight to my face and said there was an impact mark where there wasn't. I was completely dumbfounded since they have a lifetime warranty on the repair. He said it would be a simple clip to fix it and he pushed the plastic back in to place (which I had done many times before). He said that would hold and if it was his car he wouldn't do a thing about it. Fast forward to this amazing location. I called and spoke with the most understanding and kind receptionist. I wish I had got her name (will update when I can). She listened to my frustration and said I should immediately talk to her manager. I did just that and explained what craziness I had experienced at the other location. He straight up said "there isn't an impact make." What a relief and vindication I immediately felt. She said he would talk to a regional manager about the situation. The next day I received an email telling me the company was going to fix the faulty repair for free honoring their warranty! Big Big Thank you to this diligence of this manager jackson and his team! They are amazing and wonderfully understanding crew! Thankfully they are 2 minutes from my business and will only ever go to that location again!
