Another long overdue review…read more Last year when we we decided to do some renovations to our first floor my wife decided it was time for hardwood floors. There are things I'm willing to do around the house...but this ain't one of them so she decided to get some quotes. Since this was the first part of the project, and the most expensive part of the project, I really wanted someone who I felt comfortable with. We brought in a couple guys for quotes and Joe was just great from the time he walked in the door. He's not your normal contractor-I was expecting a gruff guy to drive up in a crappy old pickup, throw us a quote and not really give a crap if he got the job (that was one of the OTHER guys, by the way). Nope, Joe was great-listened to our questions, walked us through the process, and helped us decide on the best flooring for what we were going to spend. My wife's review: What an amazing experience! Joe is incredible. He arrived for our quote on time & provided an incredible "Flooring 101" for us. He suggested appropriate flooring, and clearly outlined the project on a written quote. He was patient with us, and once he started, the work was done quickly, cleanly, and with incredible attention to detail. We did a new install as well as a refinishing, and I just cannot say enough about how much FUN it was to work with Joe. My floors far exceed my expectations, and simply take my breath away each time I look at them. A great experience with our hard-earned money on a project of my dreams. Seriously, Joe was great and if I had to do it all over again Joe would be the only guy I called to install flooring. Joe gave us exactly what we wanted, stayed on schedule, kept the house clean, and didn't stray from the quote he gave us. He wasn't the lowest bid (he was close), but you get what you pay for and it was absolutely worth it to us to work with Joe. Unprofessional. Never called back and never responded back to my texts. For what reason I have no…read moreidea. Called this company and spoke with Berti. I had water damage to one of my room upstairs due to a radiator leak. I wasn't sure if we needed to do just the 1 room or the whole upstairs since the wood is all connected. When I had spoken to him on the phone he said there may be a slightly different color if we do just the one room. So before he came out, I asked if he can get us both quotes. He came out when I wasn't home but my wife was. He didn't measure anything. Look at the room where the damage was and left. He didn't look at the rest of the upstairs. I didn't get a message for him so I texted him. He gave me a quote for the one room. I asked, do you have a quote for how much it would be for the whole upstairs. He said he didn't look at the other room upstairs. I described the size of the other room upstairs and he texted back with a quote. I asked if you can send me in writing the 2 quotes. He said he has to charge me $150 for the quotes. Then I said, "What? Why?" He never responded. Just in case he didn't see it, I text him again the next day. He didn't respond again. Vito Tile Depot was one of the few stores we went to that has tile on site as well as a show room rather than just a show room. They have close out tile for as little as $2/square foot as well as high end pieces like the other fancy show rooms. My favorite part of Vito Tile Depot was that they actually have prices on most of their tile so you don't have to ask for prices on every piece you MIGHT be interested in. There was a very friendly girl who greeted my husband and I when we walked in then Vito came out to introduce himself and offer us espresso. Don't waste your time going to the stores with fancy show rooms where you'll get the exact same tile but for much higher prices than what Vito Tile Depot has to offer!
