We have used RHS home inspections twice now. The first time we used Dave he saved us unknown thousands of dollars. He identified problems big and small, and in the end provided us with the knowledge that the home we were prepared to buy was a money pit that we were not ready for. We got our home inspection done by David yesterday. Being a first time homebuyer, this was our first time going through this. As a previous reviewer stated, we can't compare this company to others, but we had a wonderful experience. David showed up early and was already looking at the outside when we got there. We sat down, went over the game plan and followed him around the house. David is very detail-oriented and gave us his opinion on a lot of things. I think one thing you look for is a person who is professional and is very engaging with the customer. David gave us the opportunity to ask any questions and provided us with a lot of information. At the end, he even sat down to summarize the inspection and gave us another opportunity to ask any additional questions. David told us that he will be working and sending us a written inspection report within 24 hours. We ended the inspection around 6pm and we received the report around noon the following day. The report was very detailed and had a lot of pictures which I feel is very important especially later down the road if we are looking to repair anything. As an active experienced business person and a civic leader in my community of 502 homes including upscale amenities, everyone talks and shares and warns about horrible service. The owner of this company must fool a lot of unsuspecting home purchasers but because of my experience, something told me to check behind his work with specialists that have proven track records with me. Many realtors refer their clients to Dave because they are friends with him. The fact that the owner of this company, Dave, came out to the property and lied about inspecting the roof by intentionally arriving before the appointment time so that when I arrived, he stated, "I've already been up on the roof and inspected. It looks fantastic and no issues were found" - speaks to how he works. The house was a rambler and once my own specialist arrived weeks later, after the inspection contingency expired, it was so clear that the exterior crown on the chimney was crumbling and the flue had cracks in it. The fireplace could not be used safely as it was. This added up to an additional 6000.00 dollars to the purchase price. Then there was the outside exterminator report that also came out after the inspection contingency that cited "found evidence of rodents in the attic" that Dave said he saw no evidence of rodents up there when I asked him specifically about it during the inspection. All of this plus a bad attitude, snapping at me, refusing to even look at anything outside like the fence for advise or tips etc, refusal to refund his high inspection fee after being caught without my signing a legal waiver blocking me from suing him or reviewing his work is more than enough to justify this review meeting the criteria for terrible service. This inspector, Dave's, report showed zero findings whatsoever on the chimney or roof or flue but their was 6000 dollars of problems there. Nor did Dave's report show anything about rodents even though the outside inspector found evidence and stated as such. Buyers, get an honest inspector that is not recommended by your realtor. The owners of the home were fantastic people who saved the day despite this horrible company's antics. Smh. read more

David Goldberg did my inspection when I moved into my new house over the summer. I had been referred to him by a friend who said I would be getting the best and I did! He arrived early, did not rush through the inspection (he was here almost 3 hrs), he spoke very clearly so I understood what he was saying, he did not scare me as I heard many inspectors do, his report was concise, thorough and received very quickly. He saved me a lot of money in repairs that I was able to get the seller to pay for, he offered advice to maintain things and he told me to call him with any questions, which I did and he answered them w/o charge. First time homebuyer here! I had just signed a contract for a new house and found Dave on Yelp. When my realtor did not show and we didn't have keys to get in, Dave was patient and rolled with the punches by starting the inspection outside of the home. Right off the bat, Dave explained what he saw with confidence making it clear to me that he had seen a lot of homes over the years. He also mentioned that he was a part of some inspectors club/group/society so it seemed like he was up to date on all the latest inspection info. By the time we had examined the entire outside of the home, the pest control guy arrived and fortunately had a code to access the key to the home (still no realtor). I had bought a townhouse 2 years ago and the inspection performed by David Goldberg at that time was so helpful and thorough that I knew I'd never need to consider finding a different vendor again. Earlier this month, as soon as I had a ratified contract on a single family, I emailed David requesting a home inspection. It was the first thing I did and didn't have to think twice about it (whereas normally I take the time to consider other options). Just as before, David was early and very thorough. He was happy to add extra explanations when he got the feeling that they were needed and tailored the inspection to address any specific areas of concern that I had. He provided a lot of extra guidance that I don't want to detail out but trust me that he will share everything that he can to help.
