In what world is it ever okay for a serviceman to walk up to a house and begin doing the work without knocking on the door and identifying himself first? Oh and by the way, he also did about $80 worth of damage to the connector on the sprinkler system according to our sprinkler serviceman who came out the following week. This was 45min past the 2 hour window in which no one contacted me to notify me they wouldn't be able to make it. Do not wast your time waiting around for this company as they obviously have a bad wrap for standing people up and not showing up. Definitely wouldn't want to give my 10's of thousands of dollars to a company that is poor at communication.

But he need time for us.My neighbors who chose the other guy to do their yards ended up not happy and the work needed to get redone and the guy wouldn't come back. The Ortega landscaping company guys are amazing. They installed our backyard fully from the ground up. They took time and care to come out and do follow up. There were times, where they were busy and may have over scheduled their day but they made it right we just has grace and Patients. I stayed them if there was a major concern, since I knew that they were busy (if it was important). It was May and it was their busy time. This last year they came out and did follow up sprinkler repair, some of it fell on us ....that just as a homeowner responsibility but he worked with us. But at one point they saved our grass. That was just installed, we had grass Mites (from the open field behind us) . Jose Junior said it was the cause of the mad, big, dead spots. He recommended to us, to call our pest service and have them treat the grass. Which is exactly what we did and it solved our problem. I can't tell you enough how amazing they are an honest they were with their quote. He helped us, keep budget in mind and plant choices that would last. His crew was respectful. They did a full install of plants, sod, and cement porch and side walk in a week and a half in our back yard. I recommend them to anyone who has a new build and needs a full install I recommend them for jobs just simple as a blow out of your sprinkler. I trust them, I believe in them. We have worked with them over the past year and I can't tell you how many people have different stories than us. Their contractor never came back, their contractor went over budget, their contractor ruined their yard or their home. That wasn't the case with us. The Ortega's were amazing from beginning to end and that's why we continue to choose them over anyone else. Don't be afraid to give them a call and get an estimate talk to them. Even companies you've used before won't necessarily return your call. Appointments you schedule are "skipped" by reputable companies as a standard course of business. Getting "on the schedule" often means the first person who can look at the problem will arrive in mid-July. Before the last snow of the season (early May), I began calling sprinkler repairmen to come out and prepare my aging sprinkler system for the summer. We had not had the system blown out last fall, and the system froze over and "blew up" over the winter; while I wasn't sure what was wrong, I knew the gushing water would be an instant problem when turning on our system! The first person was a no-call, no-show for our appointment. A phone call begging to reschedule was not returned. A message left for two other companies I'd hired previously went unreturned. The big go-to repair/care company in this area was already scheduled out through July 10. H&S Sprinklers was our golden ticket. The FIRST phone call was returned. Every appointment was kept. They repaired our problem quickly (working us into the extremely busy schedule), were polite, and were fair with us.
