We stopped by on a Sunday at noon. There were a few open tables so we decided to try and take a seat in the outdoor area. The bill has a 4% charge if you pay with a card/ so be aware!! The server who sat us explained that the booths were only for 5 people. We sat in a table with individual chairs and a few minutes later a group with 3 people sat in the booth we wanted to sit in. And then next to them, a group of 2 people sat in the booth next to them. That alone gave us a bad taste for the place. We waited on two of our friends, during that time we ordered drinks. The server was very sweet, the food was okay, we got burgers & fries I decided to get the sweet potato tots because everyone else got fries- I liked my sweet potato tots better than the fries, personally. Have been here before and it is always a positive experience! Good menu, good service and delicious food. Waitstaff do not rush you . Great place for breakfast / brunch/ lunch ! This time I have to say I was disappointed in my avocado toast. It was two eggs on one piece of bread. Usually when I order this dish out, it is two pieces of bread with an egg on each toast. The plate looked empty and no garnish to make it look more appealing. There was enough tomato and onions to spread over two pieces of toast . Not sure why they do it this way, seems kind of cheap. I mean an extra piece of bread can't cost that much and that one piece of avocado toast cost $17, no small amount. Anyway, that was the disappointment this time around . My friends blueberry pancakes were great and appropriate. They have a parking lot, but it is often full so just be prepared to park in the municipal parking lot across the street, which is no big deal. Chill girls day out 9:30 am on a sunday. Cute comfy clean caring. Was seated immediately. But it soon filled up. Everyone was kind and happy to see us even though it was our first time there. The coffee is really good and strong and served in a huge mug! Breakfast menu is well rounded, sweet and savory and very hard to decide because everything looked so enticing. We got ine of the homemade corned beef platters which was well done crispy fresh real meat! Served over the butteriest most delicious haystack style hash brown. OMG. I will for sure come back w my husband. He will love it. They have a really cute outdoor area which i was told by the owner is being renovated and enclosed heated for out door fall winter dining. One star reviews are really not my forte. I've been excited to try relish for a little while. Today I had the chance to swing by for take out. I called to place my order and when I asked for their club the girl on the phone had no idea what I was talking about and said "I don't think we do that here" I hung up and decided to place my order on their website because she threw me off a bit. After navigating their website I placed my order , a pastruben (all corned beef hold the pastrami) and the steak sandwich which claimed to be made with skirt steak (my favorite cut of steak). Two drinks one lemonade and one sweet tea. After waiting 10 minutes I noticed my order was still pending so I called in to make sure they received my order, same girl answered the phone. When I explained I had placed my order online she seemed very very confused as to what I was saying, not really sure how to explain it any further than I have placed a order through your website and my food order has said pending for a while. She finally called another women over who got my order taken care of. My husband ran in after 30 minutes to grab our food and came out with only the iced tea, he runs back in for the lemonade and the girl (phone girl) explains she doesn't understand yet once again and says she put both in one cup. (Yet we paid for both separately) he explains and shows we've paid for two drinks but we've only received one. Flustered she pours a lemonade and hands it off. Finally time to eat!!! We were starving at this point, brunch turned in to lunch. To our exhausted disappointment, my sandwich is not skirt steak at all. And my first bite had a small triangular bone in it, my steak was gray. My husbands sandwich which stated no pastrami all corned beef was a very very empty sandwich which looks like instead of subbing more corned beef for the pastrami they were told to leave out they just didn't add any more. Amazing! Hidden gem!! Food was so delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. My friend and I each ordered a meal and had to order a third meal just because it sounded so good that we wanted to try it. Turned out to be a great idea. I had an omelette which was the biggest and tastiest ever and then the eggs avocado Benedict was insane! Could not fit another bite in me, beyond satisfying. The place is popular so there were people waiting to sit down and the owner gave us a $10 gift card as we were leaving because we left a little sooner to allow an elderly woman to sit. He was sweet to be concerned about her and the staff members said, yes that's just how he is. I did have to go back in quickly to lmk how fabulous the food was and the staff. 4% extra if you pay with credit card. Really? That's cheating. You want people who pay with credit card to eat at your restaurant but you don't want to pay the credit card fees. You cannot have it both ways. Plus, if you are choosing to be obnoxious and charge extra, you have to let people know in advance. I only noticed it when I looked at the bill. I looked everywhere on my way out, no sign. You have to disclose this upfront. Plus, you are already charging a lot of money for the food and drinks. $4 for a cup of coffee. $4 for a soda? $19 for a small salad? Come on! Besides, the food is average. Nothing to brag about. Packed during lunch. Don't forget to make a reservation. We made a reservation still had to wait a while. Waitresses were attentive and friendly. Certain food was good while others were just ok. I ordered the Ted and it was good! Maple Bacon was a bit tough and pancakes were dry. I also ordered the onion fries but that never came. One of the omelets came 20 minutes after everyone's order came. So that was a bit disappointing. I mean the food wasn't too bad but not a place I would go out of my way for. Too many superior options in the area to ever come back to this place. Maureen's in Smithtown food is twice as good and 25% cheaper. We just had the worst dining experience of my life. We were seated at a table then a waitress literally dropped menus and silverware in center of table in a pile. I should have left at this point. Wife's salad with chicken was $28, Coffee is $4 a cup. Come On guys this is a diner in Kings Park. My thanksgiving turkey sandwich came without the dipping sauce. I asked for sauce and 15 minutes later they brought a heaping dish of cranberry sauce to the table. Another 10 minutes before I saw waitress and asked for the gravy the sandwich comes with. 10 minutes later they came back and said they have not gravy. This is the first time in my life I left a restaurant without giving a gratuity. Perhaps they should have invested their PPI money in the staff and training instead of using govt funds to makes structural improvements to their business. Prediction, out of business in 1-2 years. I'm sure they will blame all their problems on Covid and supply chains, blah, blah. The fact is that there is simply no management skill set that trains staff properly or appreciates customer service. Our first visit to Relish & was pleasantly surprised. We waited about ten minutes to be seated. They sat us at a huge round table which is for 4-6 people. We also waited a while for the food to arrive. The Omelette was perfectly cook & served with delicious Home Fries. I had the Grilled Chicken Special which was delicious. Hidden gem that mainly only locals know about. Perfect for breakfast and/or lunch, and they serve both all day so you can get whatever you're in the mood for! There's not too many good restaurants in the Kings Park area so if you're in the need for the casual meal, this should be your spot! The cheeses to meat you (grilled cheese with short rib) is my favorite thing on the menu. 4 stars because the wait is usually forever, this place is definitely a little pricey for what you get, and every time I come the service isn't great, not terrible, but not great.... If I could give 0 stars I would. It took over 20 mins to even get our order taken. We were given no utensils or anything to start. After getting our order taken, we received Luke warm coffee and still no utensils. We received our order after quite another long moment and had to ask for utensils once the food was given to us. 1 order was wrong and it took waiting over 5 minutes trying to get someone's attention, for us to have to get up and get someone to help us. The person who came over, said he would tell someone, and again another long wait.... no one ever came. We had to get up AGAIN to find someone, who then apologized and took away the wrong order... waited over 10 mins and the food and finally decided to give up. My mother in law never got to eat, and my spouse didn't finish their meal because it was undercooked. We had to then get up again and ask for the bill. Really sad that I have to give relish 2 stars but after some thought, it's only fair. I had high hopes for this place given the reviews and the awesome photos. We waited about 15-20 min and I loved the updated, hipster decor and refreshing menu. Really reminded me of a top notch restaurant, like one I would find in Williamsburg. But that was the end of that. Service was more than a little off. We ordered an appetizer which seemingly was taking forever to arrive. So we told the server to just bring it with our entrees all at once. Our entrees came, but no appetizer. Mid way through, we asked again and turns out they just completely forgot about it. The waiter then simply offered to take it off the check. Really? That's it? Now onto the food. We came because I heard about the rave reviews on their brunch menu and luckily they serve it all day. So I got the eggs Benedict and my hubs got the short ribs. The eggs were basically medium hard boiled. No runny eggs! How gross for eggs benedict? And the hollandaise sauce was broken when they brought the dish. With that they never should've served it. It should've been redone. My husbands short ribs looked and tasted like meatloaf. I had an hour to kill last Thursday morning while my car was getting fixed. I had to decided to go to Park Bakery in Kings Park. It's kind of hard to tie up a table in the bakery for an hour. It was 8:30 am. So I decided to go to Relish. Big mistake. I was the first and only customer in the place. A middle aged waitress told me to sit anywhere, so I sat in the first booth, more for her convenience than mine. I had coffee while I studied the menu. When I ordered my coffee I asked for ice water. I decided on an omelette which came with home fries. I asked if I could have French fries instead. The waitress said yes. The coffee was good, but I had to ask for ice water twice more before I got it. I was still the only customer. My waitress was busy chatting up another waitress that was starting that week. I have to say the conversation between my waitress and the new one starting was quite an earful. I don't think it was to the customers (me) advantage to hear the ins and outs of the positive and negative benefits of working in the restaurant, let alone remarks about good and bad customers and tipping. I eventually had to disturb my waitress asking for more coffee and water again. I finally got my water. After trying my French fries, I nearly choked on the amount of salt on them. French fries are my eating out indulgence. I love French fries! Should I go to a fast food place, I always ask for no salt, because it's always too much salt. In a restaurant or diner, and I eat in both at least once a week, I never say no salt because 95% of the time they do not salt fries. There is salt on the table. The fries I was served were pre seasoned. They are dipped into a lightly seasoned coating. I have had these in many places, and they are great. Not over seasoned and very crispy which I like. The fries I was served were loaded with salt. When I called the waitress to complain, she said they were pre seasoned and came that way. I told her that I knew they were pre seasoned, but that there was heavy salt added. She replied, I can assure you that nobody's in the kitchen dumping extra salt on your fries. I said I can't eat them, and she said okay and walked away. Now a couple came in and sat in a booth. The waitress gave them menus and asked what they wanted to drink. She came back with sir beverages, not coffee, and said she'd come back for their order. Now a second waitress came and and my waitress told the new waitress she had to look for something downstairs and told her to cover her tables. I asked the new waitress for more coffee and water. I only ate four French fries and I was dying of thirst. I drank three more glasses of water. The new waitress asked why I hadn't eaten my fries. I told her about the salt. I then proceeded to show the waitress the excess salt on the bottom of my plate. My walkway is, when I complained about the salt, don't argue with me. She should have asked if I then would like to try the home fries. No she wanted to argue. She offered nothing. The woman was cranky at 8:30 in the morning The omelette was ok. Oh and no toast. So $23 and change I basically got eggs and coffee. I left a $5 tip that I hope the second waitress got. I've had good meals at Relish. I prefer Cafe Red, but they weren't open. I should have followed my first thought and gone to Park Bakery, gotten a buttered scone, jelly donut and coffee for $10 including a tip. Never ever going back to "HELLISH RELISH " again. read more

By the time my wife and I walked through the door we were very hungry and much in need of a warm cup of coffee. The cutsy sayings and neutral palate of the walls did not add much to the ambiance of the local. Fortunately, there was ample seating and our waitress was upbeat and attentive. She promptly brought us two mugs of piping hot coffee with a small pitcher of cream for me and a small one of whole milk for my wife. I ordered a glass of water without ice which also arrived promptly. The coffee cups were ovdrsized and the contents dark a d aromatic, regrettably, the coffee was... okay. I was a bit disappointed given the welcoming aroma and the size of the mug. Shortly after the arrival of the generous sized mugs, came breakfast. In retrospect, I am very glad that I chose the short stack. Anything larger would have been too much to eat in one sitting. Organic patrons take note: For a slight additional charge, organic maple syrup can be had. If you are into organic and like maple syrup then treat yourself. One caveat, however, if you do not like hydrogenated butter do not order the butter. Sadly, the restaurant does not have non-hydrogenated butter. My wife's plate was equally abundant. Succinctly put, she thought the BLT was "GREAT." So the coffee was not the greatest, the tastiness of the food and the shear amount of it on the plate more than made up for it. The price was right, the staff was diligent and courteous and the food was made with organic products. If you are in the mood for a wholesome lunch or breakfast while in Kings Park, I recommend a visit to "Relish." read more

This was our first time stopping in. I passed by last week and noticed a full parking lot at breakfast and earlier today my wife mentioned that a friend recommended we try. So we happened to be in the area and stopped in and we are glad we did. Such a great spot with great food and welcoming atmosphere. Definitely will be back to try the meatloaf dinner!! read more

What a lovely long island find! Ive heard about this place here and there and im so glad i finally got a chance to bring me and my tastebuds on over. Dont mistake this small quaint spot for just another diner. It packs a punch! On sunday AM around 11, our wait was nearly an hour! People were packed inside waiting and did not mind. I knew his place had to be worth the wait. Our server Emily was efficient and soso friendly! She made sure everything came out right, hot and fresh. She was an amazing server! I hope i get her on my next visit. We got the ricotta pancakes, sweet potato pancakes and corned beef hash. The pancakes come in either 2 or 3 (your choice). They were fluffy, buttery and so so good! The corned beef hash was plenty with a side of toast and eggs. A perfect meaty savory flavor. This place even serves sail away coffee. Im definitely a sucker for nitro cold brew! We also shares a smores shake which was delicious! Perfect smores flavor that wasnt just loaded with chocolate but actual graham and marshmallow flavor. I was super pleased with my experience but the prices and wait time were kind of a sore. The corned beef dish was like $16 and the pancakes were $13 with no sides included. read more

Very cute casual spot for Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch or early Dinner! Inventive menu with fast friendly service! Stopped in for a late lunch on a Sunday, place was about half full. I had the Pot Roast sandwich which is served on an onion roll with melted Muenster and horseradish sauce , it works! Wife had a traditional BLT which was huge and loaded with a very tasty bacon! We were both stuffed and I thought very reasonable $$$! I had ice tea but they have great Beer menu as well! read more
