This is a great breakfast place. I've had their breakfast burrito three times now and it's consistently great. Love the atmosphere inside, they have lots of plants and cool decor. It's meter street parking but I've never had an issue finding a spot. The meatballs and sausage were amazing, but the pothole pie was really bland. We think they may have forgotten to add seasoning. Some of the tables are pretty small so if you're ordering a few things you may have to arrange the plates carefully to have everything fit. The servers are always really friendly and coffee is good here too. I'm between 4 or 5 stars only because of the pothole pie, but if they fixed that it would get 5 stars from me for sure! Relish is such a cute (...dare I say, hip?) disco-themed brunch spot! I've been here multiple times and it's a solid choice when I'm craving a good breakfast and iced coffee. Their bagels are consistently satisfying & yum yum yummy! Parking is easy on the streets nearby. I'd also recommend making a reservation if you're coming with a larger group. On my most recent visit, our server was incredibly friendly and welcoming, though service was a bit on the slower side. Nice casual restaurant tucked into the north end next to central and Hennepin. Great accessibility although winter street parking is a little tough. Decorated with a cool and welcoming vibe with a broad, good sized menu, Relish is a welcoming hangout. Breakfast all day, a nice selection of sandwiches and salads ensure there's something good for you. Seating is comfy, service is very friendly and attentive. We had lunch reservations but probably didn't need them for a Monday at noon. All of our meals were quick and tasted great. We will definitely mark Relish as a place to redid it soon! read more

Came here on a Sunday around 4pm.. just a FYI - they close at 5pm on Sunday, early! But regardless, still got some great service, good vibes, decent food, and the individuals working during this time did not force us out or make us feel weird about it! So that was amazing. Parking can get a lil interesting over here since there are a few apartment buildings and there are a lot of restaurants, but there is street parking if you drive around. Sat at the bar, perfect, chill, some TVs playing football, all in all good vibes. Ordered the meatballs and sausage (so good!), the meatballs were quality, not too greasy, good red sauce and some yummy cheese melted on top. The sausages were also pretty dang good too. Also got the relish tray with a bunch of pickled veggies.. really good! I love pickled veggies so this was a nice addition. Super cute place. Good vibe. I came alone and sat at the bar on a Friday morning. It wasn't busy but food and drinks took quite awhile. It happens with a small staff - not in a rush so not a huge deal. Latte was good. I ordered the seasonal breakfast hash which was super underwhelming // breakfast potatoes and 2 eggs with Broccoli, Green peppers, onions and corn. There was barely 1 to 2 small pieces of each of the vegetables. I was expecting at least a cup of veggies but it barely came with any. I've always had the best servers and bartenders. They are always friendly and smiley and seem like they enjoy being there. Very refreshing. The food is fantastic. Wow, Relish truly blew my mind! Went for lunch with my girls and thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Parking is on the street so you'll have to prepare to walk a bit. We got luckily and found parking right in front. The space is funky, bright, and fun! Our server was super sweet and so helpful with ordering options. The pesto aoli was good, but it felt like mostly bread. The other person ordered an eggs benedict special, and enjoyed it, but I wasn't wowed. I had gotten the Ultimate Breakfast Sammy before, and it was good, but again, seemed too small to be "ultimate". The Italian Breakfast Gnochi was by far the best food I have tasted here. The best drink was the Construction Season Latte, and they were nicely able to make it decaf for me. I would like to go back and try their dinner, especially their Wednesday date-night special. Met my friend for breakfast early a.m and had a wonderful time. This place is really cute. Well decorated, lots of room and tables. Ours was a bit close to the two other tables, but not a big deal since we were almost on our way out. It's nice that they let you sit fora little bit and don't glare when they get busy. Loved the 80's music piping through. Food was okay- not because anything was bad, I didn't read close enough that the brekfast gnocchi was smothered in red sauce which I am not a fan of. It still tasted good, but just way too much sauce for me. It had very large sausage meatballs, fried eggs and fried gnocchi. My friend had the burrito which looked great- it was pretty good sized burrito which came with chips. I would definitely go back to try some of the other dishes. Place gets busy on weekends. Relish is THE place to be on a Monday night! The vibe is super cute and welcoming, with options of bar or table seating. The staff are all super kind and on top of things, and were great about checking on tables, refilling waters, etc. You do have to try your luck with street parking, but I was luckily able to find a spot right around the corner. They have daily specials, but Monday's is far and away the best--a meatball sub for $8 (usually $14), with the option to add fries for $2. This was my first meatball sub in over a decade and it genuinely changed my life. The sauce was perfectly seasoned, the meatballs were juicy, the bread was buttered and toasted to perfection, and the whole sandwich came out HOT and fresh! The fries were also perfectly seasoned and definitely worth the extra $2. I also got the relish plate ($6), a small appetizer of house-pickled vegetables. As a big fan of pickled anything, I loved this--my favorites were probably the pickle spears themselves, but everything was great! I also got the pesto pasta ($16)--it wasn't quite as mind-blowing as that meatball sub, but still really solid! As if the meatball sub isn't enough of an incentive to get you there Monday nights, they also have trivia at 7pm! Finally made it here for breakfast last weekend! I know they've been struggling through ongoing construction (it's finally over!!) but I was pleased to see it was pretty hopping on a Saturday morning. I went with two girlfriends and we split the cinnamon bun which was fresh and warm, would definitely get it again. I'm currently pregnant so sadly have to avoid the undercooked eggs (just two more months and I'm coming for you, hollandaise!!!) so I went with the classic breakfast with bacon, hash browns, scrambled eggs. The hash browns in particular were delicious-- better than McDonald's! Service was a little slow to come by at first but once we got going it was good, they were very nice. About 15 min walk from the river and 20 to Stone Arch Bridge. The building was much larger and lofted than I was expecting. Clean lines and fun pops of color. Big windows and a small patio. It wasn't crowded at all. Bubbly service! We specifically came here to try the breakfast food and ordered Buttermilk Pancakes, the Ultimate Breakfast Sammy, a Chai, and a Shy-Tini. The pancakes were DELICIOUS. Tart peaches, crunchy oats, sweet whipped cream! The Sammy was a melt-in-your-mouth Asiago bagel, and a good balance between meat & bread. There were plenty of servers, but to the point that our server dropped off our waters and first drinks and was never seen again until we paid our bill. Many missed opportunities for water refills, leaving us parched. The food was interesting, very visually pleasing. I was intrigued by the menu when I first looked at the website. There's a handful of options that all sound fantastic to me which can be rare with brunch menus. I opted for the Italian Breakfast Gnocchi, my partner got the Italian Benedict, and my friend got the Avocado Toast. The fried gnocchi came with what is probably best described as an almost traditional pasta sauce with meatballs but topped with eggs (to make it breakfast?). It was an interesting option, it was flavorful but not sure I'd order it again because the eggs just felt like an afterthought, not much cohesion with this dish. Relish is awesome! Just opened up a few months ago in my neighborhood and I hadn't visited yet. They've had some hiccups getting started with an unfortunate kitchen fire, but things seem to be going really well for them. They have a very clean and cool interior with some nice wall art, a great cafe vibe, and a great location (close to me haha!). I went for the first time last weekend and it was so good I've already been back 3 times! The first time I came, I came with my parents for brunch and I ordered the MinneApple Baguette Sandwich and upgraded to hashbrowns. The sandwich was great, nice balance of sweet and savory on great baguette and the hashbrowns were super crispy and salted nicely. The second time I came for their Monday Special which is absolutely unbelievable. All day Monday, you can come in and get their Meatball Sandwich and Fries for $8. The sandwich was fantastic, I love meatball sandwiches and this place has a top tier one. Perfectly flavorful and tender meatball, delicious red sauce, and a nice helping of cheese. The fries are super crispy shoestring style served with an amazing chili dill aioli which I wish I could buy a whole jar of! The fries were a little over salted, but still delicious. For $8, there is no better deal in the metro. The last time I went, I went with my very picky brother and we both helped ourselves to some pancakes. They were perfect for my liking, a little crispy with an even cook, topped with berries and powdered sugar. Super yummy. Excellent food, drink menu and time on food despite being busy with brunch hour on Saturday. I have ordered here through online apps many times (those breakfast sammies tho) and am rarely disappointed. The beverage I tried was the Wake Me Up Baileys, Kahlua and Absolut vanilla with their cold brew, excellently mixed and exactly what I wanted. My friend ordered the same and enjoyed it too. She got the breakfast burrito and I got the cream cheese bagel sandwich to share. Inside it is very cute, I did dock one star simply for the temperature. I was sweaty a little mainly because of the sun in the big windows. If they had better control of the temperature this would get that final star for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. I was wearing ripped jeans, a tshirt and a light flannel (to then not show the sweat stains) so not sure what else I could have done besides wear shorts? lol. The waitress was also VERY busy, it would be good to have another on staff to lighten the load as it was packed and she had about half the restaurant. We were waiting for her to bus tables and talk to other guests for drinks before we could place our food order. I don't dock her for this as I have been there done that. I got the grandma's pasta on a Thursday ($11) and the glass of red wine for $2 that went with it. The pasta was cooked a little too long for my tastes, and the sauce was on par with something from the grocery store. The meal overall felt like something I could make at home for cheaper. The second time, I went for brunch and got the ultimate breakfast sandwich, which was pretty heavy/greasy, and the combination of flavors with the sauce felt slightly off. A beautiful Sunday day so opted to try Relish for brunch as the menu looks very good. Location is great with lots of parking (mostly metered) within a block or two. Was able to secure a table outside on the sidewalk, which is across from the Holiday gas station and on Central, which can be somewhat loud with cars flying by. I think it's hard to not try a breakfast burrito especially when the server tells you it's pretty good and popular and we also ordered the avocado toast (which was good and you can get the eggs made however you want). Finally, we ordered a single pancake with the toppings, which was good. I'm pretty disappointed by the breakfast burrito for a few reasons. First of all, the burrito is described as follows with a lot of things in it: California style carnitas, black beans, breakfast potatoes (let's say a few, no more than 6), cheddar cheese, scrambled eggs (maybe one, if that), avocado (no where to be found), salsa and lime crema (again, hard to find). My biggest issue was when I cut the burrito in half, grease/oil came oozing out of it and immediately my stomach started to churn. I shifted the things on my plate so it didn't become saturated in oil (a little too late) and I tried to wipe away the oil so I could actually eat it - within a bite or two, the burrito fell apart because the tortilla (which was actually cooked nicely) was too soft from the oil/grease. As I continued to eat, I noticed there was barely any eggs, maybe a very thin layer, as well as not many potatoes and I didn't notice any avocado or salsa. That said, Relish has both green and red hot sauce (Cry Baby Craigs). Overall, it was too nice of a day to really let this ruin my weekend but the burrito was one of the most disappointing things I've eaten in the last month. I do want to give Relish another try as the breakfast sandwich sounds like it might be good and the Italian Benny seems like it has potential.
