Their food is great, hear me. Their pizza and wings fasho, are worth the drive. If that's strictly what you're looking at Remingtons, this is the place to go. Now parking and being comfortable, that might be where the fun stops. The parking lot and both the inside of the bar are both stuffffffy. Super congested. Parking is located around the front, side and back of the restaurant, but side parking is shared with the restaurant next door. Additionally, there's houses and I believe a car shop near-by, that causes further congestion in the surrounding area. BUT once you are parked and in, you will have a warm-time. "I did not have one complaint at Remington's," is an understated way of saying, "I could grow to love this place." I had a friend who used to go and pick up tamales at Remington's, decades ago, and share them with me. I've never been inside. I knew their food was consistently reliable based on the fact that people are still crowding its parking lot. Remington's sits on a long stretch of road with two major towns at each end: College Park and Laurel. There have been nights - decades ago - in bad weather, driving along this long stretch of road where nothing else in the densely built suburban landscape to the left and right of it was open. But Remington's faithfully was and still is with its lit sign. Sort of like a true outpost in an old Western. Remington's is all bar stools, bar and high-top tables unless you are eating at the picnic tables or smoking cigars and sipping whiskey on the covered outdoor patio. But if you want to eat indoors, I think there are only 4 standard tables in the restaurant. This is a clean and comfortable dive bar atmosphere with tv monitors for sports. Yelp asked if Remington's was intimate, and yes, because it is small and cozy. I wonder if Remington's hasn't gotten fancy - in food and beverages - over the years to keep pace with the not-so-distant University of Maryland students. Since I've never been inside before, I wouldn't know how it used to be. Our crowd appeared as locals, less elite and middle-aged gathered for the FIFA games. I was surprised to find - in the outpost-like atmosphere Remington's has always been located in - most burgers are over $18. But this is one place where I'm not complaining because the food was darn good. Let's start with the mussels. If I were a Belgian chef I do not think that I could have made these mussels - and their glorious broth - better. The mussels were tender and flavorful. The cream broth was the best. This broth was the most creamy and simultaneously ultra-garlicky that I've enjoyed. I loved the tomatoes seasoned with a spicy kick tossed in. This is a culinary refinement because if they are actually cooked into the broth, the tomatoes would change the color of the white broth, and its taste. These tomatoes were a welcome touch. I don't know if this is a Maryland style of broth but sign me up. I'm talking a mussel broth love affair over here. The cheesesteak was better than most in this area. I wasn't hallelujah-ing in the aisles but I liked that the meat actually wasn't flimsy. It tasted like a thinly-chopped ribeye, a bit chewy with a sear. I liked the size of the strips. Was it actually steak vs. frozen beef paper slices? I think I can say, "yes," it's actually a cheese steak." The Reuben sandwich was well seasoned. I think it was thousand island, but whatever it was had a nice flavor. It's not easy to find a place where you can order Reuben's these days. On Yelp, I saw an Indian Butter Chicken pizza but I didn't find it. I wonder if it could be requested. They have so many varieties of pizza combinations. I'm just taking a wild guess and thinking that their pizzas are as equally flavorful. I ordered a cranberry fruit crush. Yum! Righteously. I don't know if it was juice added to another orange, fruity mixture but I loved it. It was sweet at first and then strong: all in the first sip. Sampled beers: 1. The Main Beer Company's "Lunch" IPA. This is straight grapefruit hops on the palette. A characteristic strong body. Bitter as should be for a New England IPA. 2. Bells Two-Hearted IPA (ABV 7.0%): this one was very drinkable and by that I mean I really enjoyed it. It is brewed with centennial hops from the Pacific Northwest. Yes. It is described as having, "hop aromas ranging from pine to grapefruit." 3. Elysian's Space Dust (ABV 8.2%) is pure IPA. Strong likely from the chinook. It's from Michigan. It's described as a "Great Western premium two row with c-15 and Dextri-pils." Not a beer snob but I appreciate the geeking-out and Dr. Seuss-inspired branding. New England IPA fans will love this one. I'm only a fan of West Coast-style IPA's. 4. RaR Grove City Hefeweisen (ABV 5.3%) is a clear and light hefeweizen. Easy to drink. Highly recommended, with a few added oranges. A half of a ripe white peach would be interesting in this beer, if the bar happened to have them. Remington's markets Whiskey Flights as a way to taste rare bottles. They do not list the prices on these flights. I guess it's an, "if they have to ask ..." scenario. I am intrigued about these whiskey flight prices. I didn't catch the times of happy hour but there is also a golden hour. I also saw daily special weekday prices from 7pm and onward. Maybe this is the golden hour. Like the one restaurant open through rain, wind, sleet and snow, serving up its magic faithfully for decades. I went to Remington on a Friday for lunch solo after looking for a restaurant I've never been to before. Parking is limited, so luckily i had no issue finding a spot during lunch. When i arrived, I was greeted and was able to choose my choice of seating since it was not a lot of people inside. There was one server but she was still attentive and friendly to all customers. This restaurant seems perfect for watching a game as they have a nice bar with multiple tvs. I ordered the buffalo chicken dip and the cajun shrimp Alfredo. I asked for a less spicy version of the Alfredo and they made the spice level perfectly! The buffalo chicken dip was the star of the show. It had amazing cheezy flavor with a slight kick and lumps of chicken of the perfect size. I will definitely return! read more

Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, every dish I've tried (a lot of them) has been consistently good. Went on a Saturday night around 9pm and it was packed, as expected. My friends and I ended up getting seats outside where the games were. It was super loud and definitely seemed like a college bar however, that was to be expected as well. The food was absolutely AMAZING although it did take a while for us to get it. We got the buffalo chicken wings and they were fried so perfectly. The fiesta nachos were good as well and so was the chicken quesadillas. Remington's was a pleasant surprise. I was invited by my foodie friends and this spot did not disappoint. The whole vibe was on point. From the jukebox and cozy ambiance to the outdoor seating with a fire pit, it had everything. You can even bring your dog, which I love. The food was amazing. That oyster sampler? Every single one was to die for. The buffalo dip is still on my mind and the blueberry lemon crush I had to drink was so refreshing. I can't wait to go back and try more bites. My friend ordered a pizza and it was solid too. The honey Tajín wings were definitely different but I enjoyed them. They have a big bar, but it's definitely a neighborhood favorite, so make sure you come at a decent hour if you want a good seat. This place genuinely surprised me! It was so much better than I could have expected!! A date and I went here for drinks after we had dinner at another place, and we also got a couple apps. Super balanced and tasty, and very fresh mussels! I would't usually have mussels at a bar like this, but I've been craving them for about a week, so I gave Remingtons' mussels a try. My date had a simple Tequila and Tonic, and ordered some wings. I'm not a spicy food person, so I didn't try the buffalo, but I did try the Honey Old Bay wings he got which were suuuper tasty! Usually too much old bay is a turn-off for me and gets to be too spicy, but these were very well balanced, sweet with a bit of tang! The service was great as well. Our server Sam, who I think was serving almost the whole bar on her own, was awesome and still super prompt with anything we asked for! She was super sweet and happily answered any questions we had about the menu. She was the one who made the wonderful recommendation of the honey old bay wings! Who knows if I'll ever see the guy again, but I can almost guarantee I will be at Remingtons Restaurant again, and soon! Composite review: This is my late night, keep the party going, stay outside, fill my hollow leg, after dress-up concert spot. Sometimes I forget it's there during the day. The mixed drinks are a bit of a light pour for my taste. However, the fresh-pressed juice is one of my favorites to order. The servers are typically good but either need reminders or to come more frequently. They are usually very pleasant and I can't tell how many people they are serving. So I just try to ask for the check as early as possible. I LOVE their dry -lemon pepper and especially Old Bay wings with sweet potato fries. I'm usually eating them with their great ranch, their honey mustard or some house special sauce they have. I used to always get their nachos until they went up in price. They have homemade sour cream. Top tier! I can't eat their pizzas but always tell people to get it so get one so I can appreciate how good it looks. Am I weird? Yes. But they look good enough not to eat, just to look at people eat. I had the lamb burger, lettuce wrap. It came out perfect, tasty and easy to eat. My dream is to have it with tzatziki. I finally decided to get Remingtons a try via doordash. I really needed a switch up on my pizza. So happy I gave this place a try. I've ordered from Remingtons about 3 times now and the deliciousness has been consistent each time. The quality can compare with a New York style and I believe it's cooked brick oven style but the sauce is perfection. My last order, I decided to order some buffalo wings. The taste was the same as any buffalo wings, nothing really stood out but it was definitely edible. For now, I definitely found my new Friday night pizza delivery spot! read more

I ordered the Cajun Alfredo Pasta through Uber Eats after seeing a photo of it served with linguine. What was delivered was honestly the most disappointing pasta I've ever had. The noodles were cavatappi, not linguine. The dish was watery and lacked any real flavor. The shrimp was severely overcooked, and the sausage tasted off -- almost spoiled. This was my second time visiting Remingtons. My first time was a weekday, and the vibe was cold and the place was pretty empty but I have found my Friday happy hour spot for sure this time. The environment was warm, friendly and although the place was pretty packed we were still able to get a spot for two at the bar. We were immediately greeted by the bartenders and other patrons on both sides of us at the bar. On Fridays the happy hour is extended till 8pm which is a pleasant event and grand time. The happy hour menu is also very robust including wonderful drink specials from wine, beer, a few cocktails, various crush flavors, and a few whiskey and bourbon options. No food but that is fine. For the food my partner ordered the fish and chips and I ordered the crabcake sandwich. I will say that prices overall for this place are pretty steep. For example happy hour crushes are $1 and I feel $8 would be more appropriate, wine is $11(6 ounce) on happy hour and I have seen places where it is $6-$10, also the shots of bourbon and whiskey on the happy hour menu are $13. My crab cake sandwich was $28 which is extremely expensive given that the crab cake was not lump but instead special blend or claw. The quality did not meet the price point so outside of happy hour I can not justify patronizing this establishment. However, when wanting a warm environment with happy hour I will always think of this place. read more

I find it hard to find quality food in Beltsville/Laurel. I drive past Remingtons numerous times before checking it out and boy did I regret it after. It's casual dining with tasty food. I give this place a 4.5 -- but after a lot of back and forth, a 4 seems too low. Let's get into it. Remington's is a spacious sports bar that's been around for quite a while -- but I'm just getting hip to it! Back when Jody's was around, I literally stopped there on Route 1, but I didn't go past it. Now I'm realizing I've been missing out! If you're lucky enough to find parking around the building, you can go right in and you're greeted by a host podium, several high tables, and many screens for sports. Personally, I think the table closest to the entrance is a little too close -- if you're in the seat with your back to the entrance, you can almost feel anyone who enters pass by you. But once you get past those things, you're in for a treat with Remington's itself! About 10 of the screens I mentioned are just at the bar itself. It's the perfect vibe for sports. And they've got so many different options for seating -- the bar, high tables, booths, mini bar tables for couples, and a cool looking outdoor area! They've got an assortment of cocktails, and daily food and drink specials to keep things fresh -- especially on Fridays when happy hour is literally until 9. Specials even expand to the weekends for game days and generally last all day! Now, beers and rails aside ($~4 and under), it's a relatively expensive happy hour for the area -- the cocktails are $2 off, and most of them are easily in the $1X's. But I have enjoyed everything I have had! Figuring out what food is discounted requires you to go to the specific item on their menu (QR code) and it'll indicate it there. Speaking of their food... their BBQ brisket nachos, honey tajin and sriracha wings are great. I wish the wings were bigger -- they're pretty tiny when I compare them to other places. From what I've had though, I'm excited to try a bunch of other things -- they even have pupusas (emoji eye). Had a random craving for Buffalo chicken dip, and after a quick Google search, I found myself at Remington's. Super laid back sports bar with a pretty solid food and drink menu. Some of the drinks are pricey (around $16), but we got the Mule and the Lexington Smash, which were both really good and around $12. For food we got Buffalo chicken dip, Buffalo chicken tacos, and the fried chicken sandwich. The dip wasn't my favorite, but it was pretty good. The sandwich was super salty, and it wasn't a very meaty piece of chicken which was disappointing. The tacos were our favorite food item. The parking lot is a bit small, but we were able to grab a spot easily. I did notice other cars parked along the street heading into the neighborhood. There is a lot of seating bar and high top which is great. A nice diverse crowd and everyone is friendly and welcoming. The servers are great everyone seems to help each other out a little bit shout out to Koray for helping make sure my table was clean at all times and Connor our waiter for checking in on us and making sure we're okay at all times. We started with a 10in pepperoni pizza and nachos. The pizza was actually one of the best pizzas I've ever had ! It was perfect in all ways from the crust to the sauce to the perfectly crispy pepperonis ! Definitely recommend getting a large pizza over a small unless just an appetizer. The nachos were great I didn't realize I had to add the meat when ordering but surprisingly the nachos were really good without meat. Only thing I would suggest is they add pickled jalapeños and fresh and also some guacamole that would elevate the meal so much more ! I wish it came out hot as well but they got extremely busy so very understandable We ended with a Remington burger and a swinging fried chicken. The Remington burger was great we had it with American cheese onion lettuce tomatoes and pickles (they let you choose your toppings). The fried chicken sandwich was wow ! Was greeted by security upon arrival. He politely explained that we could sit anywhere including the bar. The spot at the bar we decided to eat at still had empty cups and plates. As we sat down, the dishes were removed immediately and the spot was cleaned to perfection. Then, Our drink orders were taken. The bowl is more like a ramekin that is 1/2 inch high and 6 inches across. It was very tasty just wish I had a little more. I ordered a glass of house sav blanc that was just okay and it cost a whopping $14, it was supposedly happy hour too! This place is a rip off. Let me start by saying this has been a favorite spot of mine for years! The pizza and wings are some of the best in the area, and my favorite bartender, Savonne, is always pleasant, quick with orders, and makes fantastic cocktails. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was a completely different experience. I waited at a high-top table for 28 minutes without being acknowledged. While I understood the server (an older white woman with black hair) was working solo and I tried to be patient, her attitude was unacceptable. She walked by my table several times, loudly saying, "They will just have to wait. I am busy," without ever looking at me or even offering a quick "I'll be right with you." It wasn't just me--between the bar and the high tops, I saw at least five couples leave due to lack of service. When another woman at the bar asked for help, the server flatly said, "I can't do anything for you right now." I understand being overwhelmed, but dismissing customers in that way is not okay. As a regular Friday night patron, I've always known this place to be well-staffed with great service. This visit, however, was such a disappointment. Management needs to address this, because multiple customers were lost that day due to poor service. Everyone was more than patient, but the complete lack of acknowledgment made it easy to walk away and spend our money elsewhere. read more

Now who doesn't love a nice bar with highly recommended chicken wings?! My friend invited me to meet her at Remingtons. She raved about the wings. So, of course I had to come and try them out. I do like the fact that they have their own parking lot. There was ample parking in front of the building and on the side of the building. When we arrived it was pretty empty. They were adhering to Covid restrictions. We found a nice spot at a table top right behind the bar. We started out with the wings and I had an old-fashioned. The drinks came out promptly. They did make a great drink. As for our food, it took them a very long time to get us the food. While I was waiting, I decided to order the mashed potatoes as well. We probably waited for about 30 minutes before our food finally came out. Unfortunately, the wing orders were incorrect. The sauce choices were also incorrect so we had to send them back. My mashed potatoes were fine and they tasted good however they got cold as I was waiting for my wings. We had to wait another 20 minutes or so for a new batch of wings. When the wings arrived they were good, made to order, and had the right sauces. The wings were actually very tasty. Overall, it was a great experience. I had a horrible experience for my first time attending this wannabe restaurant/bar. I met some friends for a birthday celebration and when we arrived, nobody came to the table to service us. I went over to the first server I saw and asked for the WiFi pw. Afterwards, I asked if someone would come take our order since we just came in and joined the party yet had been waiting for a few minutes now. He responded yes, and continued talking/flirting to a patron/woman nearby. 10 mins roll by and nobody comes to the table to even check on the party already there that we were meeting. I finally go back to a different server and ask what's going on. Finally, the original server (dark skin black lady) comes by a couple of minutes later only to announce that her shift has ended and she will be closing the tab and passing it over. The server passed to (hefty, plus size Hispanic looking man) comes over (who was also the first one I spoke with) and I ask why he didn't say something the first time instead of having us wait 10 mins. He responds to me "you could've just ordered at the bar" not taking any accountability for his mis-actions and mis-focus and redirecting it to me and my friend, the customers. He then gets upsets and walks away saying he won't take our order. Great service!
