As this was our first home remodel it can be a bit overwhelming especially when your whole house becomes a construction zone. He helped guide us through with our sanity in tact. What a great company with great crews! Had a lot of flooding issues with the recent rains in my backyard that overflowed into my office so I was getting bids and RH were the first to point out that I need to take care of the drainage issue first if I want hopes of a dry office. Athos the project manager came out and we talked through the options and I really enjoyed working with him; very personable and knowledgeable guy, very easy to work with and always available. Jorge and his team did a wonderful job installing a sump pump and tearing up some concrete to put in drains and then patching it all up so it looked even better than when they had arrived. Next we went to work on the office itself with Gidon and his crew leveling and patching the ancient concrete and then masterfully installing a fresh epoxy floor that looks great! I was really impressed with the extra mile both teams went; Jorge spent some extra time cutting my pavers to make it look better than ever and Gidon climbed up on my roof to try to patch up some holes that was leaking into the office. It never fails when you are about to go out of town and your water heater started leaking ! Was able to hook up with Plumbing Heroes thru using Thumbtack and was given a quote for a 40 gallon. They were able to come out the next day. Great communication thru texting, email reminder and even phone call from technician that they were running late that day. I think that we owe this review to Heroes for everything they did for us. We initially contacted them for cabinetry work, we were going back and forth about the project. We had in mind to do a bigger project since we moved to this house but we had a lot of questions so we were going in circles, plus, with everything that's going with everything that's going with the economy we weren't sure about anything. Then we met with Eran , He was super knowledgeable and help us to solve most of our questions. We decided to do a small addition in the back of the house and a garage conversion. The initial process was very smooth, besides few hiccups . Their architect was very knowledgeable and was able to provide an interior design specs, which was super helpful. We started construction and we had about 10 workers at the house every day, that also worked on the weekends, they were super respectful to our home, they made sure to clean after themselves every day and remove debris from the site. that was super important for us because we have kids in the house. Our foreman was Ignacio, he was at the job site every day and helped with every small thing we needed. Overall the project went very well. we're super happy with the results. Had them come out to the house to address a broken toilet. They were here on three occasions, charged me a total of $1800 and wasn't able to fix the broken toilet. I had another plumbing company come out, after a single visit, identify the correct problem we were having, and fix it for under $500. This is just bad business practices. read more

They missed an appointment. Then they came and removed the bathtub drain collar and put a new bead of caulk around it and screwed it back in. It fixed it, and they were friendly, for which we are glad. What was not so friendly was the bill for $350 for a half hour's work. I appealed for a reduction which they did to $280. The same day I had my dentist put in a multiple application epoxy filling that was cured with ultraviolet light. He and the hygienist also worked for a half hour and I was billed $227. read more

We have worked with half a dozen contractors over the last 10 years for bathroom remodels and a kitchen remodel, and sadly, working with Renovation Heroes for a recent bathroom remodel was the most frustrating and disappointing experience of them all. Our complaints run the gamut, with inexperienced workers in the beginning, poor communication, seemingly non-existent project management, and poor scheduling. A project that should have taken 4-6 weeks dragged on for 9 weeks. I struggle to understand how our remodel was managed so poorly while I read so many positive reviews online. To their credit, Renovation Heroes acknowledged their mistakes and shortcomings, apologized, and took 7% off the total bill. In the end we're satisfied with the quality of work and think our bathroom remodel looks great, but getting there was far more difficult than necessary, and required much more of my own time and supervision than I paid for. Now for more details. After a chaotic and ad hoc start with an inexperienced crew and sloppy electrical runs, I brought all of my concerns to the project manager and I was assured all would be fixed. A new crew was brought in to get the project back on track, which was great. However, why did I have to bring up these issues to see changes? Shouldn't a project manager of Renovation Heroes be experienced and knowledgeable enough to know the project was off to a bad start? That was when I started to question their role in the project. We thought we were back on track with only a week of lost time from the first crew, but apparently there was a problem with the permit that was filed. We were frustrated enough that it took the city nearly 6 weeks to issue the permit, but then we were told inspections could not be scheduled?! I have no evidence to accuse Renovation Heroes of any mistakes with the permit and by their account the mixup was entirely by the city, but I remain skeptical that this was not a preventable problem. One of the jobs of Renovation Heroes was to ensure the permit was valid and they should have confirmed as much before ever attempting to schedule an inspection. We hired Renovation Heroes for its expertise in matters that we're not experienced in. After waiting two weeks for the city to re-issue the permit, the first set of rough inspections were scheduled and I fully expected the project manager (or at least someone from Renovation Heroes) to be present, but not only did no one show up, but the office manager called and asked if I could print the job card and permit (thankfully I have a printer) for the inspector. To compound things, the inspector had questions pertaining to the project that I was not at all qualified to answer. Again, what function was the project manager, or Renovation Heroes, performing at that point? What would have happened if I wasn't working from home? Would our project have been delayed further? With the project back in motion, we were assured that there would be work everyday to complete the project ASAP. This was mostly true for the next week, but after the tiling was finished, and the project tantalizingly close to completion, the project dragged on for three more weeks. I attribute this largely to the project management provided by Renovation Heroes. Instead of prioritizing to complete our project, we received slices of time, typically at the end of the day when workers were tired and not at their best. Case in point, once the electrical was (finally) scheduled to be wrapped up, the crew showed up at 5:30pm on a Thursday and didn't have the requisite parts. They returned the next day at 4:45pm and somehow didn't notice that the wall receptacles weren't working before leaving. They returned yet again the next day at 3:30pm, but didn't have the requisite tools to address the issue. They finally returned three days later and fixed the issue. All told, it took 6 calendar days and at most 4 hours of time. It's no wonder our project took 9 weeks to finish. To add insult to injury, the project manager scheduled the final inspection before the project was even finished. Not only was no one from Renovation Heroes present, but the sub-contractor wasn't even told the inspection was scheduled. The inspector (rightfully) only gave partial approval, since the project was not finished. The remodel was finally wrapped up (with final inspection approved) a week later, after 9 long weeks. read more
