Best stop in Upton Wyoming for good cooking and a smile. See menu. Just go!! Now! Great breakfast but stops at 11am. Shrimp salad is my favorite.

If you are looking for a great meal don't drive by this place. The menu has fantastic selections, the service was so personable. Food was delicious. The dining room is very cool fun decor. We will eat here again for sure.

On a road trip, and we stopped at this great little diner for breakfast. Very good breakfast and fast, friendly service!

Amazing Cinnamon Roll. The best I tried.

I was there in summer 2014 for a quick stop; had drinks and remember the cinnamon roll. Nice people and tasty food :)

Mind you, it's not the same location where Wild Bill Hickock was killed (that's across the street at the Old Saloon No 10). We arrived without reservations (they are on Open Table). We were informed that only one waitress was working the whole restaurant but that there were plenty of tables. Thankfully, there were only 4 other tables with customers, so we took our chances. They have a kids menu and quite the list of mocktails. The kids were in heaven and would have happily returned every day for dinner. I had the bison tortelloni. It was a bison steak with cheese tortelloni. It was fine but not remarkable. My husband had the steak frites. His steak was a little fibrous, not a great cut, and certainly not similar to steak frites that I've had in France! I had the recommended red wine, and it was fine. My husband had a local IPA, and he really enjoyed it. Our waitress was very nice and managed the restaurant well for being the only one there. The kids loved their mocktails and liked being able to walk around. Mind you, a lot of pictures are of the historic brothel prostitutes, but they were covered up enough, and thankfully, no one asked me any difficult questions!

Right now it is open on Friday and Saturday evenings. If you plan to dine later in the evening be sure to call for a reservation. It gets busy during the summer tourist season. Last night I ordered the carbonara with the wedge salad. Nice presentation to both. Big portion which could be shared. Carbonara sauce is rich and loaded with bacon pancetta peppers peas etc. Just one note to ask your server about the egg served on top. I didn't want that option. My husband had the 6 oz filet. Always excellent with mashed garlic potatoes and veggies. New wine menu too! We usually save room for dessert but not last night. Their cheesecake or bread pudding are our favorites. Next time! If you are in Deadwood this summer make sure to reserve one night for a relaxing meal at this restaurant! Very nice staff ensure your dining experience here is a pleasant one!

The Deadwood Grille is usually only open for the weekend, but because of the Valentine's holiday they were open. We were expecting the place to be packed, but because of the blowing snowstorm all day, most of the reservations had been cancelled. Our waitress was very attentive as we made some changes to our entrees. The cold food came out cold and the hot food hot! Everything tasted delicious and I had leftovers for lunch the next day. They had lots of roses and red candles decorating the place for Valentine's, we had a great dinner!

Service was really good from the time I called to be added to the waitlist to our hostess all the way to our server. The food came out at a reasonable time. Ordered: -Kids spaghetti -Kids cheeseburger and fries -Ribeye- a little chewier but still a great cut. -Prime rib made perfectly very flavorful I was super surprise and highly recommend prime rib if you are a prime rib fan. It comes with two sides which I got to pay extra and ordered the garlic fries. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by here to dine. I have no complaints whatsoever. It was actually the best meal I have had during my visit to this state. When my sister in law recommended this spot, I did not think that I would have enjoyed it as much as I did. Just because there is not much food options in the area and I didn't think that this spot could produce really good food since I am from California and am a foodie. And well Powder House is kinda in the middle of no where. Well, 2 thumbs up from this Yelper. Add this spot to your bookmark and make sure you go! Tips: -Call ahead to be added to their waitlist. -Indoor seating only -Alcohol served here -They have a kids menu -They have their own private parking lot -Credit card accepted -They do charge for splitting plate of eight dollars. -Restroom available. -Very laidback casual atmosphere.
