This is a gem of a quaint, local restaurant we found while going through town. The service is fast and the food was good. I'd recommend eating here if you're in town!

Best stop in Upton Wyoming for good cooking and a smile. See menu. Just go!! Now! Great breakfast but stops at 11am. Shrimp salad is my favorite.

If you are looking for a great meal don't drive by this place. The menu has fantastic selections, the service was so personable. Food was delicious. The dining room is very cool fun decor. We will eat here again for sure.

On a road trip, and we stopped at this great little diner for breakfast. Very good breakfast and fast, friendly service!

I was there in summer 2014 for a quick stop; had drinks and remember the cinnamon roll. Nice people and tasty food :)

Had dinner here (chicken sandwich) and breakfast the next morning (sausage biscuit sandwich with gravy) and both were fantastic.

My wife ordered the Chicken Primavera with gluten free penne, featuring grilled chicken, pesto, and carrots. It was excellent and easily the standout dish of the evening. I had the grilled salmon, which was cooked well and was also very good. As always, we put restaurants through a bit of a stress test. My wife has gluten and dairy allergies, while I manage Alpha Gal syndrome, a tree nut allergy, and diabetes. The kitchen was able to accommodate the gluten free pasta request, which we appreciated. The atmosphere is one of the restaurant's biggest strengths. The historic building and the old photographs covering the walls make for a fun dining experience and really add to the character of the place. Service was just okay. Nothing was wrong, but it also wasn't particularly memorable. One thing worth knowing before you go: the restaurant adds a 4% surcharge for credit card payments, so if you'd rather avoid the extra fee, bring cash. Overall, we will probably pick something else a try if we return to Deadwood. Worth it if you are heading there just for the historic atmosphere. It's a great stop if you're spending time in Deadwood.

We made reservations at the deadwood Social Club and when you walk in, it's as advertised. You walk into Saloon 10 and then take an elevator to the 2nd floor to get to the Social Club. While in SD I figured this was the perfect time to try and real bison steak and I did. You can tell it was not beef but it was delicious. The loaded baked potato was also delicious. Their signature cocktail menu included many different options. If you're ever in Deadwood, I highly suggest stopping by there. The service is also amazing.

Right now it is open on Friday and Saturday evenings. If you plan to dine later in the evening be sure to call for a reservation. It gets busy during the summer tourist season. Last night I ordered the carbonara with the wedge salad. Nice presentation to both. Big portion which could be shared. Carbonara sauce is rich and loaded with bacon pancetta peppers peas etc. Just one note to ask your server about the egg served on top. I didn't want that option. My husband had the 6 oz filet. Always excellent with mashed garlic potatoes and veggies. New wine menu too! We usually save room for dessert but not last night. Their cheesecake or bread pudding are our favorites. Next time! If you are in Deadwood this summer make sure to reserve one night for a relaxing meal at this restaurant! Very nice staff ensure your dining experience here is a pleasant one!

The Deadwood Grille is usually only open for the weekend, but because of the Valentine's holiday they were open. We were expecting the place to be packed, but because of the blowing snowstorm all day, most of the reservations had been cancelled. Our waitress was very attentive as we made some changes to our entrees. The cold food came out cold and the hot food hot! Everything tasted delicious and I had leftovers for lunch the next day. They had lots of roses and red candles decorating the place for Valentine's, we had a great dinner!

I ordered a grilled chicken salad with cranberries and almonds. The chicken was hot however it came out too quickly. Like reheated chicken breast which was rubbery. The Blue cheese dressing was nice and thick with chucks of blue cheese. My husband order the BLT which he enjoyed. He ordered sweet potato waffle fries which was an up charge. I'd say half Ranch & half Jam was a good combo. Bison Ribeye medium - 5/5 absolutely flavorful & cooked to perfection. If I only ordered this, minus the server & sides, I'd say #1 they'd get 5/5 stars. Best Ever Bison Ribeye! Top Sirloin medium - 2/5 hardly any flavor except BP, below average, cooked more medium rare, which I don't mind, except it was tough. Outback has a better steak by far! Side Salad - 5/5 fresh, crisp & shockingly a good variety of dressings. I had the Spicy Garlic Honey. Not really spicy, but very sweet. Mango Vinegarette was good w/ Blue Cheese mixed. Sides: Baked Potato - 2.7/5 totally a Wendy's drive-thru baked potato w/ a squeezeable to-go tube of sour cream. Bread Sticks - 2/5 dry & obviously is not the common dinner roll for steaks. On the menu they serve Hawaiian Rolls so not sure why steaks come w/ breadsticks... Coleslaw - 1/5 horrible. The presentation looked like it was someone else's leftovers & the slaw is all vinegar, no mayo or substance. Overall, our server (maybe Amber) was a zero. She was rude, didn't look at us as she asked if we needed anything more just at the wall towards the bathroom. Did not bring share plates for our app. She only looked at us when she brought the check.
