Couldn't be happier how our kitchen turned out. What was unique to this business was the owner who initially came out, continued to come out throughout the project and also signed off at the end. I have heard many other companies send out a salesman and you never see them again. Also they came in on their bid and did not keep adding costs which I have heard from friends that's not always the case. Customer service was paramount always which again was reassuring. We had our cabinets re-painted backsplash tile and counter tops. All were of excellent quality! The tile guy they use is a master tiler and we loved that they built us a window ledge out of the quartz we used for the counter tops - just a little touch that made so much difference and something we didn't think about. They were recommended by a friend where they remodeled her bathroom - everything I talk about she had exactly the same experience. We hired Renaissance to remodel two bathrooms and install flooring throughout a good portion of the house. Mehran is a delight to work with as he is a real professional who offered some great design ideas. The work crews who worked on the bathrooms and floors, were very skilled and overall did a very nice job. If you are considering a remodel on bathrooms or floors, I would recommend Renaissance. Now, you may be wondering why, with my recommendation, I did not give them a full 5 stars. The answer is simple. I believe what makes Yelp a good source are the honest reviews. 5 stars to me means a company goes beyond expectations. As much as I would like to say that about Renaissance, I cannot for a couple of reasons. First of all, the two bathrooms we had remodeled, took two months. Now maybe I set the bar a little high, but two months seems a bit long. In all fairness though, the floor took two days. In addition, we had a couple of minor problems that if they had been addressed, would have demonstrated a 5 star attitude. An example was paint peeling off the back of a door they painted. I want to begin by saying, we love our Kitchen remodel done by Renaissance Kitchen & Bath. We began looking in January for a contractor. From reviews we read about Renaissance Kitchen & Bath, we decided to call and arrange an appointment. The following day Mehran came to our home and we could see he had Ideas for the kitchen that we'd be happy with. After reviewing his plans, we decided to go with Renaissance. A few days later, the demo began. Mehran's crews were all very professional. They always were very polite and kept the jobsite neat and clean. One of our major needs were bifold doors to hide our washer and dryer. Mehran's crew came up with a design that really pleased us. During the process, there were a couple of times we needed some reassurance about a planned feature of the Kitchen. Mehran was always accessible and came over to the house and answered any questions we had. Mehran was also very helpful when we chose the counter top, backsplash and flooring. He listened to what we wanted, he showed us many choices, but never tried to influence our decision. In less than a month, out Kitchen was complete. We are very happy with the results. Like I said in my original review, I was ready to start the job many times. And I'm pretty sure that doing any remodeling project there are changes to be made. I never asked for anything to be free. Infact the items such as the kitchen sink which were offered free to me, I declined cause I wanted to purchase my own. But when you're signing the contract for a full kitchen remodel and the fine print says that plumbing and electrical are NOT included, it's very surprising. Very surprising and quite a bit off putting. It would have been more acceptable to point that fact out to me and let me know the additional costs for those services. Like I said I showed up at the showroom with chequebook in hand ready to put money down. In fact I never even negotiated the price down cause I thought I was signing with a quality company. But I was deferred too many times to take this business seriously. And I'll repeat, it was a waste of my time to wait for so long and like the business, said go through 20 email correspondence only to get to this shady move, but I'm very happy that I did not sign with this business in the end. I'm happy that the business took the time to respond to my review as it means, at least they are aware of my experience. Whether they use it as constructive or are defensive about it is up to them. Hopefully the former. If anything a bad review makes a business work extra hard to prove that review wrong. read more

I was pregnant, we just bought a house and we needed the remodeling to be completed before i delivered my baby. I was stressed out about finding a contractor that was reputable, with fair pricing, and could meet my deadline. Renaissance Kitchen Bath & Flooring was recommended to me by a friend of a friend. I obtained four different estimates from contractors and we settled on RKB&F. Their price for the remodel was right in the middle and they were going to work hard to meet my deadline - they work six days a week; which was great! Mehran G. handles the design aspect of the remodeling and he was very helpful and always greeted me with a smile. Mehran D. handles the construction portion of the remodel and he and his crew were very polite, always on time, and work non-stop. Even my neighbors commented how they (the workers) were always there working. Now, I tend to be a little bit anal about things and like to get updates, know what is going on, and usually have tons of questions - Both Mehran's were very polite and never got frustrated with my multiple emails/calls. Their crew was very hard working, did excellent work, and were very mindful of cleaning up after themselves. We had a pretty big remodel (entire kitchen remodel, all flooring up and downstairs changed, all bathroom remodels, and they changed the back door) and they worked really hard to make sure my deadline was met. Now, after the remodel was completed..literally less than a week later.... we saw running water coming from our walls in the kitchen right next to my new cabinets! I freaked out and called Mehran and even though it was a Sunday, they both came over within a couple of hours and found the leak. Turns out there was a pin hole leak... grrreat. They did the remediation work and after the water dried, they used cameras to make sure that there was no mold and then they repaired the damage. The repair work was amazing by the way you couldn't even tell there was a gaping hole in the wall. I am very appreciative of how both Mehran's handled the situation and the work they did. Would i recommend Renaissance Kitchen Bath & Flooring? Yes, totally. In fact, i've been advertising for them with everyone that asks me if i know a good contractor! We had work done last year and honestly I'm still annoyed when I see my crooked cabinets and now some misaligned drawers. It looks ok from far away just not as good as it could of and along with delays it wasn't fun. We went with them because the older Mehran designed a beautiful kitchen and helped pick out a beautiful countertop. Hence the three stars. The actual work is where it went wrong. Workers disappeared at the end and work got sloppy. Left tons of trash in middle of house when "done" also left still good products so they cost their own company money and a bunch of drywall got ruined outside. I've worked with both Mehrans at Renaissance for the past 5-6 years on 3 different homes, full remodels (complete kitchen, flooring, bathrooms, wall removal, etc). They do a great job, stay on time, and most importantly, stay on budget. Once they finish, if there are any additional things you discover afterwards, they will come back promptly. On my most recent house, some of the bathroom grout was flaking off in a small area. This is two years after the install. We gave them a call and they came back within a week and regrouted the entire bathroom floor again, no charge. I recommend them to all my real estate clients. Renaissance recently remodeled one of our bathrooms. I usually do not write reviews. However, the outstanding work and service which we received must be shared. We had a toilet leak in our bathroom requiring subfloor repair/replacement and flooring remodel. Before finding Renaissance and Mehran, we asked for quotes from several plumbing, restoration and flooring companies. Not only were those quotes extremely higher, but those companies also were not forthcoming. Then we met Mehran from Renaissance. Mehran is extremely trustworthy. He took the time to educate us and gave us a fair quote. Even though the quote was one of the lowest, the quality of work was top-notch with great attention to detail. The whole team is professional, responsive, and expedient. In this difficult time of COVID, the team members all wore masks and applied good hygiene. I love my shower! Out of my 4 quotes, I decided to go with Renaissance bc I really liked Mehran's work ethics, his honesty, and his prices. Even tho I was picky, he was very accommodating, and his prices were very competitive. He gave me the total price, which included the tiles from his showroom. I have other quotes that were higher, and did not even include the tiles. The tiles in his showroom are very high quality and beautiful, and he let me pick an expensive one that I liked. I also had a pleasant experience working with Shirin from the office, she was always kind and very polite. Pedro the work supervisor has great workmanship in doing the plumbing and the tiling. He was nice to redo the shower head height for me after I told him the wrong height. His tile laying skills were impeccable, he knows how to pattern match each tile and how to cut them evenly so they look nice in a small shower. He made sure the new opening fit my old shower door exactly! He also advised me on the grout color when the shading on the paper samples were off. One day, I made a mistake by stepping onto the newly tiled floor and messed up the sloping. Pedro found out, and he and Mehran were pretty upset with me. I apologized and he redid the floor sloping for me. Very nice! Several takeaways, even tho they are not show stoppers, that you need to stay on top of. My walls got a little bit of hot mop tar & small nicks & dings on the first few days bc they did not cover them. I asked them to cover them after that and they did, but it should have been done at the beginning. One of my shower door hinge screws was missing after the shower was done, so keep count yourself to keep everyone honest. The other Mehran the painter, his touch up painting is not very thorough. I had to do another coat of paint after he left to cover some exposed spots. My toilet was not clean after the workers left. But overall, I am happy with their job and will use them again! read more

We contracted Renaissance KB&F to remodel our bathroom. Their bid was significantly lower than two other Yelp recommended contractors. We enjoyed interacting with both Mehrans. The contract included removal of old bathtub surround, vanity and countertop, toilet and flooring. We had them move the toilet plumbing from the wall (unusual) to the floor which is conventional. For the vanity countertop and new bathtub surround, we wanted matching quartz. This is also unusual, most people go with tile for tub surround. All work done was first rate. All of the crews were courteous, professional and cleaned up at the end of each day's work. Where we encountered unexpected issues necessitating change order, we agreed up front to materials and costs and paid up front. The costs for these issues were small. Otherwise the contracted estimate was honored. We will be asking Renaissance to bid on our kitchen remodel in early 2018 and give them our highest recommendation. He and his team are good communicators, arrive when the say they will and provide excellent followup. There are actually two Mehran's, the second is more or less the construction boss. There were a few things that required correction, as you can expect with a total bath remodel, but they were happy to make the corrections in a timely manner. Our walk in shower step was coming apart and swelling due to water intrusion behind the Marble tile. Mehrans crew came in and had to remove the entire bottom of shower, steps and and about a foot up on the walls. Hot mop the pan and replace the Marble. His crew was very good about protecting the surrounding areas and laying down drop cloths through the house. We are very picky customers and Mehran and his crew were very patient in helping us find the matching Marble tiles and making sure the installation was as we had invisioned. Both Mehran (they are both owner) were very helpful, delivered very good service, and kept good communication.
