They took the extra time to dynamically balance the tires. That's rare for these mom and pop tire shops. They were a bit more than I wanted to pay but they were open late on a Saturday afternoon so beggars can't be choosers. I would give them 5 stars but they charged me to keep the old tires that they are most likely going to sell either here or in Mexico and I was too lazy to put up much resistance. Oh well. read more

I picked up cash b4 coming because I know most of these places that sale used tires only expect cash. To my pleasant surprise they accept plastic too. They have great prices on tires and quick to change tires. I had good service with the tires, so I brought my car in for drum brakes change (it says on the sign they can do brakes). The mechanic said he could get it done in an hour, no problem. He destroyed both of my drums. Said one of the drums was already stripped when we got there. It wasn't, we just removed both drums a couple of weeks prior. He also said the brake was locked up and that's another reason he couldn't get it off. It was 3 hours of excuses. He never bleed the one brake he did. As he was pulling my car off of the lift, the mechanic almost crashes my car into the box truck that was delivering tires. My girlfriend had to drive my car out because he couldn't figure out how. I have had to spend over $150 in parts alone to fix what the mechanic ruined. I'm still having issues trying to fix my brakes this place is a nightmare dont go mechanic is a liar and doesn't know what he's doing maybe it's time to retire. You ruined my back brakes and still having problems no bueno. Mechanico no bueno es mentiroso no sabe nada de nada. They always check my tire air pressure, add air if needed, or if I only need a patch rather than tire change they tell me this to if my funds were tight. I was skeptical at first, place is a little divy, but the place turned out great. I chose it initially because it was one of the closest to my place. The first fix was a used tire after a flat shredded my previous tire. It only cost $20 installed! The second fix was a tire with a screw in it, the patching and installation only cost $8! This place is crazy cheap but still good, a rarity nowadays. The service is fast and friendly too. I've always paid cash and never got receipts or was brought to an office with a register, so again, it may not be the most professionalized place, but he knows his craft and does it well. I bought a used tire from them for 35 bucks. They said it will last about 6 months. In just about 2 weeks my car started shaking and I realized that tire was not usable anymore. I cannot rave enough about this place. Dealership wanted 150 per tire... Off place even wanted 90.. And these guys did them for 30. BEST price in town. Then I went to a sheister specialty dealer for my brakes and he told me both needed replacing 300 per axle. I took them here and they said 270 for front AND back and I agreed. 30 minutes or so after I left I got a call that my front were fine and only the rear needed replacing. I COULDNT BELIEVE what I was hearing. SO the specialty dealer not only was over charging me but also tried to convince me brakes were worn that WERENT and instead of just replacing them and taking the money, Rene's called me up to tell me they didn't need to be done. I have never met a mechanic that didn't make me feel like they weren't getting me to do stuff on my car that wasn't necessary and here they are doing the right thing and telling me it can wait. Don't worry when they are actually worn I'll be back. Rene's is the best. I signed up for yelp so I could write this review, I always say I'm going to and never do but these guys ACTUALLY deserve it.
