Our roof was installed May 2018 by Fulmer Construction and began leaking spring of 2020. Called to have them come out and fix the issue May 1st and was told they put a work order in to have it done. After two weeks, they did not come out or contact us in any way. We called again and was told they'd take care of it. After another week of no contact, we called again and was told they'd call us back the next day. They did not. We called them back two more times, and was told that they would call us back. They did not. In this time we had two contractors look at the roof and tell us the installation was done poorly and incorrectly. After nearly a month of not calling us back, they eventually did and when we told them we had another contractor coming in to fix the problem to prevent further damage to our ceilings, they said okay and hung up. Do Not Contract these guys. read more

4/15 - called to set up apt for estimate, scheduled for 4/28 at 12:15 4/28 - went out of way to be home at 12:15, only to arrive to a v-mail from Rick LaRuez saying he'd already been here but didn't know what I needed done so he took 3 guesses and left an estimate for each (all three were wrong) 4/28 called office, spoke with Jim(?) who apologized and sent his son to give an estimate, Mark LaRuez arrived, looked got understanding of needed work and pledged to send s third guy to write estimate. 5/1 - still no estimate. I call Mark to ask where it is. Mark days it's done and he'll drop it off. 5/4 call mark again, still asking for estimate. 5/7 - Mark drops off estimate, I call that day and ask to schedule, he tells me it should be done the following week. 5/21 - after at least one more call to Mark, I talk to Kelly for the first time. She has no record of any estimate, but is apparently charged with scheduling. I send her an email with Info from Mark's estimate. 6/1 - I email Kelly asking if job has been scheduled 6/3 - I call Kelly (there was no reply to email), she says it will be done the following Monday or Tuesday. 6/10 - I call Kelly and am told the weather caused delay, I'm promised a call on Friday to give status update based on weather and schedule adjustments. 6/22 - I call Kelly, she tells me it will be done this week. I express skepticism and mention it's been going on since April, she (quote snippily) tells me "I have your first email dated 5/21." I explain what precede that email and she assures me it WILL be done this week. (And tha was, finally, a dry week). 6/28 - I write this review, work is still not done. At no time since 4/28 has anyone from their company ever contacted me. I have initiated all communication. I don't think I've ever had a worse experience with a company. read more

We had Dan Fulmer Construction replace our gutters in late April 2018. The experience was nothing less than flawless! They arrived early to every appointment we had (from planning, to signing contract, to actual construction work), with courtesy phone calls to confirm it was OK. Paul was friendly and knowledgeable, and the actual gutters they were able to install for us were top notch. The workers that day were in and out in a matter of a couple of hours. Dan Fulmer replaced our roof in Brighton, NY in the Spring, 2018. Three layers of old roof had to be torn off including cedar shake. The roof was torn off and replaced within two days. Dan Fulmer protected our hedges and shrubs. They performed a very professional job. Support personnel including the owner were available for all our concerns before and after the job and after full payment was made. VERY PROFESSIONAL, VERY SATISFIED. Called them in the afternoon on Wednesday to fix some blown up shingles on my daughters house. Told everyone had gone home, to call back in the morning to speak to the owner. Transferred 3 times, called me by another name, said I wanted work done in Avon (really was Greece). Couldn't get one thing straight on the phone call! Hung up. I am not a customer of this company. I am simply a woman who was driving to work on 3/29/18, when a man driving in a company vehicle thought I wasn't driving fast enough according to his standards decided that the best way to inform me of his thoughts, was to cross the double line into oncoming traffic, roll down his window yell at me how he was going to get out of his vehicle and cause me grave physical harm. This all took place at approx 7:20 in the morning. Naturally this is the most reasonable and logical response anyone should have towards any human being, especially a woman, that was apparently interfering with your commute to work. We had (1) picture window replaced that was 104" long with (3) Double Hung windows mulled together installed last week, and 1 other and separate Awning window in a different area in a different area of the home. The 3 windows are "Vista Panorama" VWC-K1 07518-00002 Triple Pane, Low-E, Argon, Super Spacer, Foam Filled Frames and Triple Fin Weather Stripping. The Fulmer crew was just marvelous and really knew what they were doing and the install went great. The workmanship was more than excellent. As far as Vista Window Co.... yes, I certainly would buy them again. They do make some very excellent vinyl windows, As far as Dan Fulmer Construction Co.... yes, I absolutely would buy from them again. They do some very good work and stand behind you all the way. The installation is just as important as the windows are, if not more so. Dan Fulmer installs to perfection. And they have been in business since 1960. That tells me they are doing something right. They have done one window, our roof, and our attic insulation. All three projects were done on time and have helped to keep our house warmer and dry with no roof issues after nine years. A little pricey , but effective. A few communication and timeliness issues, but nothing too bad. read more

Chris handled our project from beginning to end and the it was done effectively and efficiently. We had two skylights in our sunroom replaced and they look fabulous. The Velux windows are quality unlike what we had replaced. I have no idea who did the installation, but the previous owners did it on the cheap to begin with. We will need a replacement in our kitchen, and I will certainly call Fulmer for another quote. read more

I am very disappointed when the estimator from Dan Fulmer (he said he was the owner's son). I called for an estimate, he visited -- upon arrival at our house ....he got out of his truck shaking his head and said he wouldn't even quote a re-roof at my house, he was VERY condescending to me. He asked who did the original roof, I told him that I did and that it had NEVER leaked in all that time, but it is now 30 years old and ready for a new roof. He said it looks like YOU did it . He quickly refused to bid, I guess he is afraid of the job and apparently doesn't trust his workers to do the same quality job I did (the homeowner) 30 years ago...... Does anyone know of any quality roofing contractors who aren't afraid of re-roofing a non-box style house??? read more

BEWARE! NOT RELIABLE. My husband (D.Pistner) hired the Dan Fulmer company to fix/replace part of our roof because it was leaking. They agreed to replace the front section and put in a rubber shield underneath to prevent future leaks. Here we are 5 years after they "fixed it" and that same part of our roof is LEAKING AGAIN - because Dan Fulmer's workers TOOK SHORTCUTS, didnt do it properly- didn't put in the flashing on the edge that was CAUSING the leak! We followed up to have them fix it, which they were very resistive to - took 4 months - but they finally removed the siding and put the flashing in as needed-on one side. BUT - since was only one side - now the other side is leaking this winter - guess what? Probably no flashing! Why didnt they just check it and fix both sides at the same time? Now we have more inside damage. Thanks for nothing Dan Fulmer. Apparently if you go with this company you have to watch them every second and double check everything to be sure they do what they are supposed to. Now we have to have the roof flashing redone again as well as redo our inside ceiling and walls - AGAIN. Going with a different roofer this time. My husband sent an email to Mr. Fulmer a week ago (Feb 29 2016) detailing the situation but he has not responded. We called TIM REESE from ALLSTATE ROOFING (tim@allstateroofers.com) who called back within hours, came out with in a couple days for an estimate and in a week -redid the roof - THATS SERVICE. read more

One star is too many. I scheduled to have an estimate done, at 3 PM on a Tuesday. I rearranged my work schedule to be home for the estimate and to be there to let them in. Well guess what, 3 PM came and went and no one showed up, I called and the operator said they don't know why the guy never came or called to cancel. This was a huge waste of my time and an even larger inconvenience. Your word is your business, and to no show on a schedule appt? Going elsewhere. read more

Ok mr. Dan fulmer..ive had a half ass crew here since 10 oclockthis morning ..its 5 min. To 6 pm..our house front is torn apart.they destroyed our gutter which was expensive...your paying for it..its a 45 ft seemless gutter and thats what we expect you to pay for.....the driver of the crew that dropped off the only guys that did try to get to the problem...sat in my driveway when my kids are getting on bus was motherfucking somebody on phone...not good business sense.your worker chris the roofer is worthless...trying to be friends...not happenng when i have to tell your guys how to cut a piece of wood so theres not so much waste...i want the house sealed and the time they spent so far i couldve have my buddys come down and put new plywood plus a correct roof on and not any problems...but were on an 8 grand roof with nothing but problems....but anyways you better get it done or theres the court system...oh yeah and by the way my name is Dave Scobell i also live at 44 juliane drive and seen your shotty work for about 4 years now...ill never recommend your company...but patrick and mike that were here were honest with us .they went the xtra step to find the mistakes...and wow the found them...a 5 nail shingle does not need 30 nails in it especially at the sealing edge..look into maybe checking your work as its in process ...maybe no pissed off customers anymore.either way no recommends for you guys unless its B.B.B read more
