STAY AWAY FROM RENEWAL BY ANDERSEN! They have literally hundreds of negative reviews. To make it easy I am just going to quote another person who felt exactly the same way "From the moment the representative arrived, their attitude was atrocious. They were rude and dismissive, making me feel like I was inconveniencing them by wanting a quote. I was treated like a child being scolded by a teacher." When I confronted salesperson and told him that I really didn't like his attitude towards me when I was asking questions in comparison to other companies. One of the questions was why Renewal by Andersen offering only 10-year warranty when other companies selling exactly the same Andersen sliding door offering Lifetime Warranty or at least 20-year warranty. After every single question I would get that arrogant smile from the arrogant salesperson and belittle talk about how other companies are not good, and their warranty means nothing, and what warranty worth if other company goes out of business and all other hypotheticals that made me feel very uncomfortable asking any questions. Second reason I would stay away from Renewal by Andresen their prices for the exactly the same Andresen patio door we already got many quotes for was literally more than three times more expensive for exactly the same or even better options, for example $3,700 with installation and lifetime warranty on everything vs. $15,000+ original price that with discount got down to close to $12,000 to make us feel better about discount. We saw some very high-end patio sliding doors with some crazy option like sliding on the top and not bottom tracks with locking mechanism that would lift the door to make door slide seamlessly easy that was quoted to us for $9,300+. Me and my wife just looked at the salesperson and thought if he was serious. Well, he was. One more reason I would stay away from Renewal by Andersen is they don't have many color options (two brown color options vs. literally 10 different brown color options from other companies), only one locking systems vs. at least four we've got from other companies. You like miniblinds, forget about it, salesperson going to give you speech how much blinds compromise the sliding door. We really didn't like how very few options Renewal by Andersen had in comparison to other companies. Literally day and night. Salesperson also try to tell me that I would receive survey and anything below 9 stars would be considered a failure. That's when I told him straight that every single time I asked you a question you gave me that arrogant smile and belittle me like I know absolutely nothing what I am talking about and other companies are just garbage and won't stay much in business, so lifetime warranty means nothing. I told him some companies were in business for over 35 years and longer, again I've got that arrogant smile back. In other words, probably one of the worst experiences we had out of all other companies. Good luck staying in business! I am sure in the next few years you'll be out of business. read more

When Jason (team lead), Rob, Lance and Sean H (the installation team) said goodbye at the end of the day, Joanna and I looked at each other and said WOW that was amazing! And the new windows look beautiful. Craig Gress was the first person we met from Renewal by Andersen. He arrived on time and was an excellent ambassador for Andersen. The appointment lasted about an hour and a half. Craig's presentation was impressive, and he departed with a contract for 10 new windows. We had previously gotten a bid from Pella too (more expensive!), but we'd been very unhappy with the time it took them to complete repairs on an existing sliding door. Jump ahead 8 weeks, and the installation crew arrived. No instant gratification with this purchase! They checked out our home and began unloading the windows. Two of the installers worked to remove the old windows, while the other two installed the new windows behind them. Then the guys who had done the demolition came back to the first window and began the trim and caulking. Jason was always checking in with the others to make sure everything was going well; it was a joy to watch. The windows are installed from the outside, so we lost no window ledge space. Although the 2 upstairs windows had to be installed from the inside due to the way the original windows were installed, nonetheless we lost no ledge space. The way they worked together made the installation go smoothly, & quickly. The final trim and caulking really made the windows look like they had been installed when the house was built. The installers were very respectful of our home and all had a great sense of humor, and I enjoyed chatting with them. Unfortunately I don't recall the name of the two tradesmen that came out to do the final measurements, but they were just as professional as everyone else we came in contact with at Andersen. Our home has a tile roof, so Andersen had a roofing company come out the day before and remove the tiles as needed to install the 2nd story windows, and then they came back the day after the installation to replace the tiles. This was included in the price of the windows, and those tradesmen were also very courteous and professional. We have had the windows for about two months now and they are wonderful. Our home has an updated appearance and the difference in noise barrier is amazing. We can tell they are keeping the chilly Arizona nights out much better than our old aluminum dual pane windows. We are extremely happy with our new windows from Renewal by Andersen, and with everyone who was involved with our window project. We would highly recommend Renewal By Andersen. Oh, it is worth opting for the stainless steel screens - they're nearly invisible! read more

I enjoyed every part of my experience with Renewal By Andersen. Setting up my appointment was very easy, and my salesperson (AJ Foley) was right on time, respectful of my space, friendly, and very thorough in his demonstration. I didn't need much selling after I saw samples of their wonderful product. I admit that their product is more costly than some of their competitors, but I decided to trust my instinct that their quality and service would be worth it. It definitely was. Though my install date was scheduled for 2 months out, AJ explained that the time is necessary since each window is custom-made. In the meantime, he was sure to answer all of my questions and give me whatever samples I needed to get my HOA approval. Anytime I e-mailed with a question or to check that everything was on schedule, AJ and his associate Rachael Haun, always responded very quickly. So helpful! A week before my install (and also a courtesy reminder the day before), I received my installation confirmation time and date. The install crew was right on time, extremely courteous, professional, and very much experts at what they do. I was very comfortable with them in my home for the 4.5 hours it took to install the 7 windows I ordered. Each window fit perfectly and the finish on each of them was impeccable. The crew even re-installed my blinds, and when they were finished, had me walk through each window to inspect them and make sure I knew how to operate them. My service continued the next day with a follow up call to see how I liked my product. The first thing I noticed in my home once the crew left was the difference in the sound coming from the street. I live on a corner lot of a busy road and the hustle of the cars was greatly diminished! Also, on this wonderful "winter" day in Phoenix, I was able to leave the blinds open in my kitchen and not feel the impact of the 75 degree day heat coming through! Lastly, WOW! What a beautiful fresh look they give to my home! I am not a person who typically writes reviews, but when an experience is worth it, I want to make sure people know. I look forward to the cost savings my new windows will provide over time - no more 95 degree kitchen in the middle of Phoenix summer! I recently had an unexpectedly pleasant experience with Renewal by Anderson's office. I signed up at a local event just look for an estimate on what replacing my window would cost. I just needed the one window replaced. My window was only five years old and some kids from the neighborhood broke it with a rock. A few days before my appointment, the office manager, Tim, called me to check that all my info was accurate and was still interested. First of all, Tim was extremely pleasant to speak with, he asked some great questions and helped me understand my problem. I had explained to him that I was a single mother and i didn't have much money to spare, he really listened to me and I felt that he truly cared about my situation. He told me if he was in my shoes he would try to get the glass fixed before getting a quote on replacement of the whole window. I thought it was because he didn't want to do such a small job and I told him as much. He promised that if I wanted wanted Andersen to come out that they would but he thought I should try the glass repair route first. It seemed to make sense and asI was about to hang up he did the truly unexpected. He could tell (from earlier in our conversation) that I was a bit overwhelmed with the situation and offered to do some research and email me the names of some good glass replacement companies. I was really surprised that he would go out of his way to do something like that. So I went about my day and to be honest never thought I'd hear anything back. A few hours later I recieved an email from Tim, not only did it have a few companies that could do the work, he also reached out to a few of the and got estimates from them!!! I was totally blown away. Another company might have gotten my business today but Tim and Renewal by Andersen are on the front of my mind. A company that puts its customer service in front of just making money is on the right path. I'd recommend Renewal by Anderson to anyone and I've never purchased from them before. read more

We purchased new windows, a balcony door, and a front door from Renewal by Andersen (RBA). Installation was completed quickly--in just one day--but unfortunately, the windows were not properly sealed. Our experience since installation has been very disappointing. An RBA technician inspected the balcony door and informed us that the entire door slab needed to be replaced. However, RBA has only offered to repair parts of the door instead of replacing the defective slab. When several of our windows began leaking, we were told to wait until November--when the door repairs were supposedly scheduled--for a technician to assess all of the window issues at that time. The customer service representative we spoke with was rude and dismissive, making us second-guess our entire experience if this is the level of support we can expect whenever issues arise. Throughout this process, the customer service representatives, supervisor, sales representative, and technician have all provided conflicting information about next steps and have refused to confirm in writing that the problems will be addressed. Even RBA's own technician offered to contact his management after hearing that RBA was unwilling to replace the slab. Yet upper management has so far only offered piecemeal repairs instead of a full resolution. After back-and-forth and no written confirmation that these issues will be remedied, the Registrar of Contractors (ROC) is now involved to ensure that all windows are properly sealed and that repairs to the new doors meet industry standards, and all secondary and tertiary issues are remedied. After spending this much money, we expected better communication, accountability, and workmanship--and certainly not to face major issues just four months after installation. We sincerely hope RBA stands behind its products and resolves these concerns properly. read more

Hello: I love Renewal by Andersen.... They have put all new windows in my house, that was the first thing, then a new front door, then a new back door. (7 windows). Each time they came out they were very professional, i did not have to watch them do their work, they knew what they were doing and they were very nice......every time I have called the office, I always got results. I love their product, it is a gorgeous product and I am very pleased and happy and glad that I chose them....Good windows and doors are expensive, but very much worth it in the long run and definitely adds value to your home. I live in a manufactured home and it sure made a world of difference especially living in the harsh climate of the Sonoran desert. My electric bill has been exactly the same in the summer for three years with the new windows and doors, and electric rates have gone up....so I would definitely agree that they are energy efficient. I have double hung windows in my office, living room and dining room, an awning window in the kitchen and casement windows in my bedroom. They were excellent in recommending the type of window for the room and the color. I wish i had more windows and doors to replace, but I have replaced them all. I would say the whole company as a whole are very professional and I did feel that they actually cared about the product they were selling when they presented the product to me, they were as excited as I was about purchasing the windows. Not only did the windows do wonders for my home, they are just darn nice windows, easy to clean, very nice to look at and I absolutely love the windows and doors. We love Renewal by Andersen. The windows are expensive, but you get what you pay for. Our house looks awesome and is now evenly climate controlled and much quieter. Our installers, Joe and Roger were so awesome, we requested them for each of our 3 installs. We've now replaced 28 windows over the past 18 months and couldn't be happier. There was absolutely no damage to either the stucco or the drywall. The windows were installed in the time frame we were quoted and they look fantastic. The folks at Andersen are true professionals who make sure everything is to your satisfaction before they leave. Just like a few of the other reviews I did have an issue with the call center saying both my husband and I had to be home for the appointment. I was pretty annoyed by that and told them that I was capable of making a decision on my own. I spoke with the sales Manager and told her how furious I was. The call centers job is to setup the appointment, not dictate who must be there. The sales folks are amazing to deal with and I encourage folks to speak to them directly if they get the run around from the call center. I've recommended Renewal by Andersen to 3 friends and they are all happy with their new windows. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for superior quality windows. read more

This was our second time to have renewal come and replace windows. The first time they did five windows and a sliding glass door. The second time was for four more windows. Our thoughts: 1. Product quality is excellent. A. Noticeable heat exchange from outside is minimal. Not all windows have been replaced so I cannot address change in utility costs. B. Two year timespan since first installation. Windows/door still in like new condition (despite dogs and kids). Framing of same has held up well despite any thermal expansion/contraction of surrounding structure. 2. Personnel were knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and efficient. A. Salesperson did not embellish or mislead us in their presentations on either occasion. No pressure to buy extra or more expensive options. B. Installation team was thorough and efficient; not only in the installation, but in the clean-up as well. C. Follow-up for quality assurance was helpful. Conclusion: We will use Renewal by Anderson again once we have saved up enough to finish replacing the windows. I have no reservations about recommending them to anyone. read more

I'm only giving 1 star to the company for poor management. The woman Shannon I spoke to today was absolutely amazing she was prompt straight to the point and full of answers to everything I threw at her. She knows what she's doing problem is why do you have her out sweating I'm 105 degree heat doing a mans job. I did not set the appointment with her due to the fact I would rather purchase windows from someone as confident as her rather that to just set an appointment with her and be hassled by male salesmen that get to rose around all day in air conditioned cars!!!!!! Never in my years have I came across such a messed up company. treat your girls better their dam good they are not men so don't put them doing a mans job. Truth be told I would buy windows from renewal by Andersen if they had sales people like Shannon. Also Renewal by Andersen has hit my house 3 times in less than a 4 month period do you not know what no means and do you not keep track of where you have been!!!!!! For anyone else who may be reading this I hope you get to speak with Shannon she's an absolute doll and super easy on the eyes and she's never pushy. Best of luck!!!! read more

We had an excellent overall experience with Renewal by Anderson - with the office staff, the representative, and the installers. My wife and I were asked to request an appointment at a time convenient to us so both of us could attend. The representative gave a thorough and informative presentation pointing out the differences in performance, appearance and durability of windows of various construction. The representative explained the color and hardware choices available. We selected 4 windows and 1 slider. The next week our window and door frames were measured and we were told our installation would take place in 8 weeks. When the time arrived, three installers brought in our windows and door and began working. The floor and surrounding area were covered with protective blankets and they removed the old pieces. The new units were installed, the trash picked up and removed and the areas were cleaned. They left the house cleaner than when they came. Throughout the installation process the installers acted professionally and did their jobs with pride. We are very happy with the appearance, fit and function of our new windows and door. read more

We recently had 11 windows replaced by Renewal by Anderson. Our electric bill dropped 45% in the first month. We have gotten many compliments on the way the windows look...even during the instalklation process as some of our neightbors were passing by. Their installation crew was very professional, efficent, courteous and answered all of our questions and concerns. They always use the same installation crew. We have had work done by Home Depot and Lowes and other vendors in the past. These vendors use indepdent contractors and installers.... This was very important to us..cionsistence breeds efficentcy....we have alot less dust in our house...more light since we now don't need to have the solar screens (which were highly inefficent and hard to see through....I would highly recommend them.....if you want quality and effeicentcy....If you want cheap windows, poor quality and problems with installation, and difficulty in resovling issues with the work or the windows..go to Home Depot, Lowes, Sears or other vendors that can give you inexpensive windows... read more

I have Anderson windows and 3 sliding glass doors in a 2nd home in Scottsdale that I ran my nurse business out of till a few years ago. I purchased that home in 2010 at that time I knew nothing about Anderson Windows/ Doors . I love the quality of their products and workman ship. Just looking at the company brochure one knows the quality in the products. I purchased a home in Ahwatukee Foothills in 1992 the windows are the worst quality window ever! I am now putting Anderson products in my Ahwatukee home. I have 3 windows complete and I love them. The staff at my home were great. They did everything to decrease the dust etc. There are several homes in my development with Anderson windows and I have not heard one complaint. My sister in law in North Dakota loves her Anderson Windows/Doors as well. Some times it is better to pay more. One more statement. I do not work for nor know of anyone who is employed with this fine quality of an AMERICAN Company. Thank you Anderson Window/Door for your expertise!! YEA!!!!! read more

Hard to believe, but here's an Arizona home solution company that lives up to it's claim. Our sales rep, Clark assured us we would be amazed at the professionalism and attention to detail the install crew would provide on the day of installation. Since we recently spent a small fortune on custom paint textures throughout the home, let's just say we were skeptical. First, let me say that we were advised throughout the manufacturing of our windows of the progress and that the install date was going to be met. On the day of install, a crew of 5 or 6 arrived at the specified time, installed 11 windows, one of which was the largest Anderson, or at least this crew had ever installed, and left our home without a nick scrape or speck of dust anywhere.Beautiful windows installed professionally the day before Phoenix hit its first 100 degree day. Talk about timing. And our air conditioning is running less, and best yet, we've had to raise the thermostat as the house stays cold all day and night now. Thanks Anderson. read more

Well their slogan is, "You'll love your new windows" and it is pretty much dead on. After we had our windows installed we loved them so much that we couldn't stop looking at them! It made such a huge improvement to our home from an aesthetic point of view but I also can't wait to see how the Low-E glass helps us with our power bills in the summer. Our previous windows were just single pane glass and they face West so you can imagine the heat they let in. Renewal by Andersen's customer service is also second to none. The crew was very courteous and knowledgeable and had no trouble answering my million and a half questions. In fact it probably took them longer to answer all of my questions than it did to actually install the windows. Which by the way, if you've never seen replacement windows being installed, it is a very cool process. We didn't do every window in the house but after this experience I can't wait till we can complete the entire house in new Renewal by Andersen windows! read more

Satisfied customer Ryan and Rebecca recently purchased a house that had poor windows and a sliding door. Renewal by Andersen's was in the neighborhood and was scheduling free estimates. Sergio Castillo came out a few days later and was very professional explaining all the options and prices. We moved forward to order the windows and sliding door with a short turn around time for production. Joe and Lance and two other guys showed up on time (when they were scheduled) and couldn't have been more professional and efficient. They went as far as covering our floors were they walked and covering our furniture. They all worked so well together. They even went above and beyond and put our blinds back in the windows. When they were finished, they had cleaned up to the point of not even knowing they were there if it weren't for the new windows. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!!! He was very knowledgeable about the windows and left me knowing I made the right choice, about choosing Renewal by Anderson. He was very personable and when he left he asurred me that I would be happy with my window, Which I am. He left me his card and told me if for any reason I need to contact him I could. I did and he was fast to get back to me to anwers any concerns I had. The installers, Pat., Nick, and David were also people you don"t mind doing business with. Recently had the Renewal by Andersen guys out to replace an old sliding patio door. As boring as this project sounds I have to say how absolutely fantastic these guys are. Since we live in an old 1950s mid century ranch block home, I was concerned about any potential "issues" that would arise during construction. Well unlike every other contractor I've had out to my house, these guys were actual Andersen employes. No subs! :). They were Johnny on the spot with there time line , were ridiculously clean and literally walked me through every step of the old door removal and new door installation. They were so clean and meticulous, my wife had no clue they were even there that day. The new door is awesome! I know it's just a patio door but this one is sooo much better than the previous. It looks great, feels sturdy and is smooth. Plus the screen stays on its track, which is always nice when u have dogs and toddlers banging into it all day long. read more
