Let me start off by saying that I wish I could give no stars at all. I went here on a Monday to get a bed. I placed the order and was told that I could have the bed delivered on Wednesday from 6-8. To be fair, I initially accepted this time, but during the week I became swamped at work and had to switch the delivery date to Saturday night 6-8pm. Saturday around 7 i get a call from the store manager telling me that the delivery team was in a fender bender but that I should still expect them within an hour. 3 1/2 hours go by, no call and no delivery. Needless to say I am furious (staying at home on a Saturday night awaiting a delivery). Of course they are closed on Sunday, so Monday morning I call and am told that the manager I spoke with doesn't come in til 10, call back then, further increasing my anger. I get a call from the sales rep I spoke with in the store apologizing and saying that they will arrive at 12:30pm. Of course its 2pm and they still aren't here. I call the store and I am so mad at this point, I want to cancel the whole thing. The sales rep Jessica offered me a free week due to the inconvenience and apologized for everything. She is the only bright spot in this entire I never heard from the store manager Will, and I will also be writing a letter to corporate. As the manager of the store, you should be more than willing to speak with disgruntled customers, especially if its your fault. Once the delivery arrived, the guys were nice and the whole process took all of 20 minutes. The store manager at this location could use a serious course in customer service. read more

Wow-- I've had great service at this RAC for about eight months now. I got a beautiful (brand new) Ashley furniture set that I get complements on all the time. The only complaint I have is that I was unable to make payments on the company's website (not very user friendly) so now I call or stop by twice a month to do so. Okay basically here is the Rent a Center business model, take a cheap piece of crap furnishing, mark the price up 200%, and then wonder why most people are not making the payments. They operate on a bait and switch model, you go into the store testing out the floor model thinking you are getting decent stuff for what you are paying, then the crap comes and its cheap and very overpriced. I actually had a friend go into the rent a center store to see the difference in the floor model from what they deliver. First item, mattress- Circa $400 Store mattress was very comfy and the rep told me he can get me a much better one for the same price. Okay, mattress arrives and you can literally feel the springs and after getting up you can see where it has sagged down. Since receiving this mattress I have experienced neck/back/hip pain and now need to see a chiropractor. I doubt this thing is worth even 100 bucks and they want $35 BUCKS A WEEK FOR IT??? Second item, sofa and end table set. Strange how they value the sofa at over 2200 bucks when I saw the same exact one online for 799?? Yes of course you can feel the springs and it screams rent a center crap. When you get up from this sofa it takes literally 20 minutes for the shape to return in the sofa cushion and the seat cushions always slide out. The springs actually poked my sister and drew blood and she is looking into a lawsuit currently. Only 38 bucks a week mind ya... BOTH ITEMS WERE SOLD TO ME NEW BUT HAD STAINS AND THE SOFA HAD CRUMBS AND CHANGE IN THE CUSHION AND THE END TABLE SET CAME WITH KNICKS AND RAISED IMPERFECTIONS AND THEY WERE TRYING TO SELL ME THIS CRAP AS NEW!!! Next cannot forget the service. It literally took 20 minutes just signing all the documents. They call constantly when you cannot answer the phone and have called my job after I resigned from it lol. I was out of town for a funeral and my neighbor flat out told me one of their thugs came by and TRIED TO GAIN ENTRY INTO MY UNIT WITH FORCE!! He actually called the police but the thug was gone before they got there. There punch line is "we want to help you out" or "we want to work with you" but if they really wanted to help me out then they would not be charging me these rates for cheap used bargain basement $%^$%^. I have been trying for almost a week now to get them to pick their crap up but whenever I call any of their numbers nobody answers and there is no voicemail. Im about to haul this shit to the curb and I bet nobody will want it. I have since bought a VERY COMFY MATTRESS TO PUT RENT A CENTERS TO SHAME FOR THE SAME PRICE AS THEY CHARGE, 400 BUCKS!! AND A SIMILAR SOFA FROM A LOCAL FURNITURE STORE OF MUCH BETTER QUALITY FOR UNDER A GRAND!! Long story short, if Rent a Center did bathrooms then their toilets would come with shit stains on the bowl and would not flush, the seat might break within a week as well. I normally dont do reviews but my experience with Rent a Center and their cheap crap is very annoying. I cant believe they try and rip you off. I was told everything would be 160 a month and instead I find out its more than double that!! Instead of being able to pay monthly like they said in the store, they want to be paid weekly. I guess they think it will seem cheaper if they put the week price up, but not really. With the furniture I bought at the furniture store the payments are under 150 a month and rent a center was over 300 a month, do the math!! I currently have been renting from the renta center in Bradley il and I came into financial problems so I called and told them to come pick up the merchandise they refused to pick it up until I make the payment. They have been calling my work my family and me harassing about it. I will never recommend them to anyone they should be out d business. They are a very unprofessional business and have very ignorant workers I will be loading the stuff up and dropping it at their store myself and then press legal charges against them if the harassment continues.
