Had the nerve to charge me a $40 "diagnostic fee" for the time they spent trying rip me off. Told them I wouldn't be back if they charged me $40. They couldn't care less about losing a repeat customer. Also, last time I scheduled an oil change first thing in the morning and got there early. Do not go here. I brought my car in for an emergency brakes replacement 3 months ago when I was in town visiting family. Sure the staff were helpful and nice enough. Changed my brakes/rotors the same day ($2700) and I was able to drive back home to the DC area. BUT literally 2 weeks later, my car would stutter when I hit the brakes, like they weren't catching. The brake pedal would also give while I had my foot on it. So incredibly unsafe! I called the same ETD asking what it could be. Nick (who I worked with the day I got my brakes replaced) told me not to wait and to bring it to someone right away. So after calling a few shops, I found a place that could take me that day. THE BRAKE PADS WERE EITHER PUT ON INCORRECTLY OR WERE FAULTY. They were already work unevenly and the brand new rotors were scratched! The shop told me of this error and offered to resurface the pads and rotors (cheaper vs shelling out another $2000k +) to see if that fixed the problem. It did! My point person this whole time has been Nick. Fast-forward two months later, I was assured by Nick at this ETD shop, I would have a partial refund (labor) of over $400. Weeks and weeks have gone by. I have called multiple times and Nick has told me that he had to ask management, then the refund had to be processed, then it was processed and I have wait 3 to 5 business days. Well here it is on business day six, and still no refund. I have definitely been given the runaround. And I will do what I need to make sure others don't fall into this same trap. And I will be filling a complaint to the better business bureau. read more

Car repair chains like these are very difficult to trust, you need to make sure the work you requested is actually performed. I originally had my car brought in for two ez services, a free rotation follow up (part of the tire package purchase installed 4/22) & an oil change. Reminder, this first rotation was back in October '22 however it looked like they weren't rotated after I picked up the car. Fronts still had heavier brake dust compared to rear wheels (car is front wheel drive). I couldn't 100% confirm or accuse the shop at that time because I didn't mark the wheels so I let it go. This time, 16 months later, I marked both rear tires before dropping off the car. I once again had them do the oil & specifically requested the tires be rotated, it was my main reason for coming in as my mechanic doesn't do tires. Picked up the car & receipt said both services were performed, including lug nut torquing & PSI adjustments. Total malarkey, I confirmed that aside from the oil change, the other services were not performed. This led me to conclude that the October '22 rotation was also fugazi. It's either laziness (George called to say we're almost done with your rotation $ oil change, maybe it's time you take care of preventative maintenance) or anger over me turning down such wallet draining, waste of time services. I never allow them to upsell me with good reason, did the same back in October '22. Regardless, Nick the store manager has been trying to contact me since but why, to make amends? I have to return & wait again for a stupid rotation? No dice, I cannot trust the business, the free rotation service is nothing more than a ruse to get people to purchase four tires. We are suckers. Anyway, have your car serviced here at your own risk! I'm never coming back as I'm sure after 15K miles of driving in 22 months, the tires are probably wearing unevenly. Always make sure the work you requested is actually performed & set traps to confirm the lie. Don't be intimidated, you work hard for your money & deserve to be treated fairly. read more

I brought my car in for 4 new tires I gave them the type of tire and size. When I picked up the car and paid $1500. The receipt said the tires I ordered but when I got home it looked different so I looked at the tires and they installed a different size tire on the car. I've been using ETD for the better part of the last two decades. They are trustworthy and reasonably priced. Yesterday I brought in a 2008 Toyota that I got used for my daughter. I asked them to check everything. I wanted the car to be as safe as possible. A less trustworthy mechanic could have come up with a laundry list of things that needed to be done. They told me the car was in excellent shape and just recommended routine maintenance like an oil change and some fluids to be replaced. Done for less than what a dealership cost and they even threw in few wiper blades. I will be back, highly recommend this place. read more

Store manager Austin Jarotski was awesome from the beginning to the end. Made online inquiry replacing all 4 tires on BMW535i as the wheel was shaking. Got a call from Austin 10 minutes later and made an appointment next day. Came in next day and he tells me I don't have to replace tires! Normally tire shops will try to sell the tires even if you don't need it!! Just did a rebalancing to eliminate the shaking and it only costed $16 per wheel compared to $900 I was going to spend on 4 tires!!! Thanks for your honesty and a quick response Austin. It has taken me a while to write this, but I had a very bad experience here. My son's car was brought in with a loud engine and it kept dying. After charging us almost a thousand dollars (for 4 new tires, a new starter, a new battery etc.), they told us there was an engine problem and we would have to see an engine specialist. Well, the car died on the way home and that was that. I understand that maybe the car was beyond repair when we brought it in, but they called and encouraged us to buy new tires for it and never mentioned an engine problem they could not repair until I went to pick it up. I feel they took advantage of us and would not recommend them. read more

I have a mixed feelings regarding this establishment, on one hand the two managers were nice and professional and the job was done properly. On the other hand I had a few disagreement with them. When I came with a flat that couldn't be fixed, I asked to replace one tire only, since it's very expensive ($340 each one ), they refused and forced me to replace both tires. Second issue was that after I agreed and they replaced both tires, I checked the manufacturer date on the tires and one of the the tires had an older date then a tire that I bought 6 months earlier in a different place. To be fair with Joe (the manager), he said that he will order a newer tire and he did so. I just feel that it was a waist of my time to go again. They said to drop off the car and they promised get to it first thing Friday morning. By 9 o'clock Friday morning they called me, had located the tire and had the car repaired by 4 o'clock that afternoon. I couldn't pick up the car Friday night. They parked my car in their garage overnight for safety and it was ready Saturday morning. Austin treated me as if I was their only customer. No one ever plans to get a flat tire. Omg the fastest cheapest fix for my shimmying issue after an alignment from Audi. They stopped by steering wheel from shaking but the rest of the car vibrated like crazy. What a scam. The assistant manager, Andy Haase, looked over my car and was very quick to conclude that my tire (flat from a nail) was no good, couldn't be patched and had to be replaced. He went on and on as to why it couldn't be patched. He then walked around to each tire and did a tread measurement and said 2 out of the remaining 3 had to replaced. Mind you, my car is a lease, up in 9 months and I only have 22,000 miles on the car. The treads looked fine to me. I nodded, said thanks and drove to Anita Tire in River Vale. Alan at Anita did the same walk around but said A) I can patch your tire - no problem B) your other 3 tires are fine. Total bill from Anita $26.00. ETD pitched hard for $780 in new tires. I just got off the phone with the manager Joe asking how much it would cost to remove my summer set of rims and tires and switch to my winter set of rims and tires. They also have very caring employees who try to get the best prices for you. I've since used them for my oils changes, also extremely reasonable. Got there around 5:30pm and was out in 20 minutes with the two tires repaired and ready to go. Since they close at 6:00pm I was a little worried going in so late.
