The actual site is great, good space inside, awesome area outside. Bartenders are super nice, cozy atmosphere.....but the beer... We only had the IPAs but man they hit my mouth hard. Just tons of malt. When most are moving toward juicy, east coast style IPAs they've gone the other way. Obviously this is a personal preference but the IPAs were virtually undrinkable for us. We just moved to Georgetown and I think it's the only game in town so hoping they make some other offerings. read more

We love this place. The people are very friendly. However, we will not be going back. It is a dog friendly place which we are very supportive of. When you are going to have a dog friendly place then the establishment should make sure that dog poop is not laying around. We went there when it opened on a Wednesday at 4 pm and when we went to sit down there were 3 Piles of dog poop and the flies were terrible. read more

Great brewery in the Georgetown area! The indoor area has some long tables as well as small ones to accommodate folks. The indoor is great during these summer months, but they also have a very nice patio as well as a grassy area under some large trees that would be great after the sun goes down and during the cooler months. It's really a nice outdoor area. Their beers are very good, we tried the pale ale, hefeweizen and the light IPA. The beers are $5 for most, but you can buy 5 tokens for $20 which makes them $4 a pint, very nice deal. The staff was very nice and I enjoyed visiting with them about their beers. There was a food truck there, Krab Kingz, which was very good. They have different trucks coming in so check on the day you're going to see who's there. We'll definitely be coming back to this brewery. read more

My husband and I discovered this brewery over the summer and having been coming here ever since. We like Friday and Saturday nights as they have live music and a food truck to grab a bite. The beer is great and the staff has always been friendly. Lots of picnic tables outside under some nice big shade trees. We have never had trouble finding a seat. There is some seating inside as well. Kid friendly place with lots of families every time we go. They also have corn hole boards, big checkers and a tub of wood blocks for small ones. My wife and I love this place. Fantastic beer and chive on the tv, we always have a great time. They let you take food and eat it there when there isn't a food truck present. The food trucks that show up always have good food. We especially seek out certain days to enjoy a Rentsch beer and some good food. The staff and manager are amazing. We spoke with the manager one day and saw the dedication he has to his job. Great job guys. Keep up the great work and don't change. The beer: Hefeweizen, stout, raddler all great beers. Rough first night opening. The Radler they offer is made with their blonde and lemonade. First, the blonde was not tapped for the first hour of our visit. I ended up mixing it with their IPA while waiting for the blonde. Second, once the blonde was tapped, the lemonade tap blew out. oh and credit card merchant machine went down. All this being said, the upgrades they made to the new facility are amazing. I would suggest they should have done a soft opening. They simply were not ready for the large crowd that poured through the doors anticipating their first pour. read more

Staff is friendly and their whole set up is nice. I heard that they were expanding so that will be good. 3 Stars for those reasons. 2 stars gone because I wish they had better beers to be honest. Granted I like darker beers (stouts, porters, even ales). The beers that they have taste like water. I think this brewery has potential and I am really glad they are here in Georgetown, but I probably won't go back until they brew something dark and have it available long enough for me to try it. They have a nice space with several long tables and bar stool seating indoors, and plenty of bench seating outdoors. Georgetown's first brewery is a home run. All four beers on tap for the grand opening were excellent. The IPA, Hefeweizen, and Weizenbock are very good examples of their styles, and the "session beer," described as a cross between pale ale and Kölsch, is delicious. Come check it out! read more

The atmosphere is awesome and so is the staff. I just wish the beers tasted better. Beers are $10 for 3 pints and you get the keep the glass. Their IPA was solid and the only beer I liked. The Weizenbock was ok, nothing special there. The Session lacked flavor and was disappointing. I hear the Hefeweizen is good but they were out when I visited. The atmosphere is great. They have 2 TVs that play college football all afternoon. I got to drink beer and watch UT fans wallow in their bad football season. There are food trucks and seating outside too. The staff were helpful in explaining their beers and will let you have a small taste before committing to a full pint. I'll definitely come back to throw back some IPAs. They are a small brewery so maybe they will come up with some better tasting brews in the future. read more

The staff here are very warm and welcoming! They let you sample the beers before you make a decision on what you want which I like since I'm not the biggest craft beer fan. First time at the tap room. I got turned on to this brewery at Hopdoddys with their Heffe. They don't have it anymore. I was able to get a six pack at specs. Had a great time, mother's day specials. Tried the Poppy Fest Red Ale. Right down my alley. Great place, great beer. I was a little disappointed w Pat's BBQ. Seemed to be over cooked. It was later in day and they were running out. An excellent place to hang out and meet friends on Fridays and Saturdays. Why so specific? Because those are the only days they are open! This is not a bar, it's their tasting room so expect to feel all the excitement of being invited in to the sights and smells of a brewery! They've got tables and chairs, games to play, and usually a food truck for those who might get hungry. A fun, casual hangout! Update: Rentsch has since expanded their tasting room and their hours! Not just for Fridays and Saturdays anymore -- now they're open several afternoons and evenings a week. The new bar area is beautiful and the garden/deck is the perfect spot to watch a Georgetown sunset. (In the past it was occasionally overrun with unattended children but the owners have been able to curb that behavior for the most part now. Hence the signage.) The beers were actually really great, but this review is for the ambience and service. There was little to no music so you could hear a pin drop. The 2 girls behind the bar didn't acknowledge us and one didn't even get up from her stool to ring us up. I don't know if they were having a bad day or what, but their zombie-like service really kept the vibe awkward. You should be happy when you're around so much beer! read more

I enjoyed the beer and the music. The staff was great. The only reason I'm giving it 3 is due to the atmosphere being semi ruined by people letting their kids run wild yelling and screaming, and sitting in the walk ways. This place would be wonderful if it had areas for the kids vs parents sitting down up top and enjoying their beer while I have to sit down and deal with them racing around my chair screaming so I can't hear the music and having them not move really when you are trying to get up the stairs to get another beer. I highly encourage you to grab a board game from their selection and sit down under the large oak tree and enjoy a few pints.
