I went to Reperch to buy a sofa I saw online and was so confused and frustrated with the shopping experience that I left empty handed. Upon walking in, I noticed the place looked like a warehouse and saw a lady sitting at a desk, playing on her laptop. She didn't bother to look up or greet us in any way so I wasn't sure if she was customer service or if I was even in a store. My boyfriend and I both wondered, out loud, if we accidentally wandered into the warehouse rather than the store. We almost left but then saw a room to our left that was filled with sofas so went in to look for the sofa I saw online. The room had a center aisle to walk down with furniture crammed in sections along the aisle.. Some sofas were unwrapped and sitting normally while others were partially wrapped in cellophane and sitting on their sides or stacked in whatever way they could fit. It was hard to see each sofa since it appeared they were being stored rather than displayed. We had to squeeze between sofas to see what little we can of each one. All the sofas had tags with numbers on them but no price. So we asked a couple next to us (the only other customers in the store) how they were able to see prices to which they told me to download an app and that the QR scan code can be found near the customer service desk. I asked the lady sitting at the customer service desk about the QR code but she doesn't look up from her computer or respond. The couch I saw online was a beautiful West Elm couch for only $180 so I figured this store runs on low prices rather than service and, undeterred, started searching for the code around her desk. I remained in an area 1-3 feet away from the customer service lady, with my cell phone camera out, looking for a QR code and she ignored me the whole time. I felt like a ghost being that close yet invisible. Another customer entered the store, leaned into where the customer service lady sat and said she needed to pick an item up. To my surprise, the customer service lady answered and asked for the customer's name, which the customer gave. She then waved at an object behind the customer and said she can go ahead and take it. "Do you need to see my ID or anything?", the customer asked. "No." the lady simply answered as the customer turned around and saw the object she was buying was located right next to her feet. "Oh, that was easy!" the customer exclaimed as she bent down and grabbed the item. Hands full and vision blocked by the item she picked up, the customer happily walked to the front door and struggled at the exit as the customer service lady went back to typing on her laptop. I stand in shock. Can anyone care less about people than this "customer service lady" did? My boyfriend breaks me from my spell by walking up to me and announcing that he still can't find the couch we saw online. He then asks if I have the app yet to which I answer that I couldn't find the paper with the code. We are both standing 2-3 feet away from the customer service lady at this time - definitely within ear shot since it was where I was standing when she spoke with the other customer and I could clearly hear everything that was said. I finally get her attention, and my boyfriend finally finds the download code (which was right next to the lady) and I'm told that the customer service lady can't tell me exactly where the couch is but can say it's in section 15. I then asked how I could identify the couch once I find section 15 (since most items are hard to see and identify) and she tells me to look for the item number. I then ask first the item number which she gives me as well. The customer service lady wasn't rude and answered questions but she really gave the bare minimum and immediately returned to whatever she was doing on her computer. So, my boyfriend and I return to looking for the couch. Once we find it, we see it's one of the unwrapped couches and that it's dirty and stained. We both imagined it was from people rubbing up against it as they navigated between sofas. The sofa also did NOT look like the photis and the color was way dingier than the photos. Dismayed by how ugly the couch was in real life and the lack of service, I wanted to leave but m y boyfriend REALLY wanted to buy a couch the same day, so he insisted we look around the store more and get something else. But the app didn't work well. We were only able to get a few items to display (most items wouldn't finish loading up or weren't in the system yet). One item showed a pic of an end table rather than the couch the item number was posted on. The prices of the couches that we pulled up on the app ranged from $600 to $1,750. Honestly, I don't think prices were low enough to be worth the hassle but if you want to try shopping here anyway, I hope this review helps you understand how this store works and saves you the struggle of hassling with customer service. The Local Flea is UNBELIEVABLE! We came across them after reading an article at SFGate and went and checked out their online catalog. Immediately found a large framed painting and ordered it for delivery. Just the frame was worth more than they were charging for it. They got back to us immediately and set up a delivery time. In the meantime, we looked around some more and came across a beautiful 55" round granite table. We wrote them immediately and asked if it would be possible to get it delivered at the same time as the painting. They agreed and, despite the table being huge and weighing a ton (almost literally), they didn't charge more for the delivery. When the delivery arrived, on-time, the granite pedestal for the table was damaged and taped together. It would take some work, but it was fixable, so we accepted delivery since the table was so beautiful and a steal at the price. It did appear to us that the damage was probably caused by the delivery company. We wrote to The Local Flea and explained the problem and sent photos of the damage. They got back to us immediately and offered an extremely generous adjustment. They are obviously willing to go well above and beyond to make the customer happy. We were able to get the table repaired and it is beyond beautiful. The Local Flea is an honest, reputable, and customer-oriented business that we look forward to purchasing from again. We cannot recommend them highly enough. Tons of high quality merchandise at rock bottom prices and the best customer service we have found anywhere. Do yourself a favor and check them out.

Bought a Sony soundbar and a Dell 4k monitor from Reperch. Spent less than $200 in total because the monitor was missing a power cable. I had a spare power cable, so this was a steal. I will NEVER buy anywhere else before checking Reperch first.

What a great store! My roommate and I went here to get a couch for our new apartment. We unfortunately couldn't find anything in the store, but the employees were super helpful and told us they had a sofa warehouse 10 minutes away! We made an appointment on the website to go to the warehouse the weekend after! They have over 100 sofas at the warehouse that you can try out! They also have a website with all of them listed so you can see what's at the warehouse in advance. We picked this amazing sofa and it was such a great price! We set a delivery date and the delivery guys showed up on time and took it up our spiral staircase. Can't wait to get more furniture from them:)

Great place to find quality used furniture. There's a LOT to choose from, and I'd suggest using the website first. Highly recommended!

These guys are AWESOME! We went to look at a couch after we made an offer online and first of all, they're ready to negotiate, which we really appreciate, and second of all, they couldn't be more friendly and more helpful. It's a huge warehouse and the help you find everything, pull it out for you to look at, it's awesome. Best part for us was that they just allowed us to wander around for as long as we wanted! It was so fun, like a treasure hunt. We went for a couch and left with a couch, a side table, a lamp, some art and a mirror (all for less than a new couch would have cost us and all beautiful and in great shape). If you have the time, go look, you'll find some great stuff. They deliver locally for a reasonable cost and, really, are good and friendly folks. I wish we'd known about them sooner! read more

Nothing is better than flea market furniture shopping online. Let's talk about how I needed to completely refurnish my living room when my roommate moved out and I spent entirely too much money on everything and especially on a chair from Article that I simply could not live without only to find the same freakin chair three months later online at The Local Flea for a third of the price. It was painful. Anyway they had TWO of them so I bought them both. They were in perfect condition, exactly as they were pictured on the website. Picking them up was so easy - mainly because the employee who helped me must have been some kind of Tetris master because he got these two huge chairs to fit in my Toyota Corolla with a little creativity and disassembling. He was also kind enough to pretend like I was helpful even though all my suggestions were terrible and he knew exactly what he was doing. Now I peruse this website daily. FYI you don't only have to shop online. You can go and shop and walk their warehouse if you book an appointment. read more

Disclaimer: I'm scared to even write this review because I don't want to publicize what I believe to be one of the best hidden gems in the Bay Area. However, in all fairness, they deserve the Yelp credit. The Local Flea is a professional, high-quality, and cheap alternative when it comes to buying anything...and I mean ANYTHING! Furniture, electronics, appliances--you name it, they have it! After my first purchase of a Weber grill (which I got for 30% below retail price), I have yet to be disappointed with any of the items that The Local Flea has to offer. They operate out of a warehouse in South San Francisco where they sell items that have been collected from homeowners (the other side of their business). They curate the items to ensure competitive prices (the lowest in town!) and have a wide selection of anything you would be looking to buy. If you are looking for unreal prices on high-quality products (mainly furniture such as chairs, couches, and dressers, as well as a variety of electronics), look no further: The Local Flea will soon be your most visited destination. Soooo disappointed with The Local Flea! I found a rug I loved on their website, made an offer which was accepted, paid for the rug, and was given a confirmation order number and a date to pick it up. What happened then? I was sent an email saying the rug was "out of stock." This was the SECOND time I had attempted to purchase an item from them and had been told after the fact that they had sold the item to someone else. How can any buyer trust that they will, in fact, receive the item they have paid for?? What kind of business model is this? I REALLY wanted to support this local business, but will now never attempt to buy from them again. Surely they have some communication between their warehouse and their sellers up front and online--is this 2023 or what? I also noticed that they have yet to cancel my payment or respond to my many attempts at contacting them. The first time this happened, they merely sent me an email saying "Sorry about that." This is NOT the way to run a legitimate business in order to ensure that paying customers become repeat ones. :-( read more

The Local Flea is awesome. We pretty much furnished our whole apartment in one afternoon for a lot cheaper than if we had gone to Ikea. All the items in the showroom were stylish and tasteful and of much higher quality than Ikea or Target. It almost felt like a liquidation sale at West Elm and Crate and Barrel. Tiffany did an excellent job in assisting us with recommendations, pricing, triage and delivery arrangements. We were absolutely delighted with our experience and consider The Local Flea our go-to for all our furnishing needs. read more

Great experience all around. The guys working were really helpful! We bought a leather love seat, two lamps, a buffet, and a desk all for under $600. I don't usually post reviews but I truly had a great experience with The Local Flea! I was looking for a couple of items to furnish my apartment and man, they really do have good stuff. I was also informed about the damages beforehand and the 7-day return policy so I wasn't surprised when I came to see the item. They're an online store so they only have a warehouse but make sure you check the website in advance because they have TONS of item back there. Definitely coming back for more deals and steals! read more

The Local Flea is a great option to recycle quality furnishings and home goods. Honestly, when you see the selection they have, you may be able to furnish your entire home from there. We found some incredible deals at the Local Flea (almost new Article couch, beautiful dining room chairs, and a dining room table). We used the negotiate feature (Price Waiter, I think) and got responses right away. Luis and team are awesome to work with, super fast reliable. We also used the Bay Area delivery ($125 for everything to Oakland) and they were so fast/communicative, got text updates and everything was safely delivered during COVID-19. We couldn't recommend the Local Flea more ! read more

The Local Flea went above and beyond to help us furnish our rentals. First of all their stuff is awesome and you can find something for every kind of style and price. Secondly their delivery fee is beyond reasonable and they do their best to get you your stuff ASAP. And thirdly, everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable, and as an added bonus, incredibly good looking. But seriously if you haven't checked this place out you need to get over there immediately and get some Flea love before someone else gets your perfect couch. read more

I found a wood working tool (ShopSmith belt sander/powerstand) and corresponded with Adriana of The Local Flea since I live down near Monterey regarding the product. She answered all my questions promptly and had her team ready to assist me when I arrived later in the week for the pick-up. At the warehouse, Andrew greeted me, showed me around and had the sander carried out to my truck. There was zero lost time. Everything was as expected and worked great! I have found so many great items in this place!! I almost don't want to share because i don't want it to become too popular. We just moved from Las Vegas and happened to stumble upon this store on the offer up site. We ended up buying a sofa and 2 accent chairs for less than $500. I'd recommend to anyone that needs something that's reasonable and good condition...the only downfall is that it's a huge dusty warehouse and you can't sit or feel what your buying. read more

We bought a dish set online and when we came into pick up the 75 piece dish set the store had given or sold the dishes already. The store is very unorganized and has limited knowledge about their inventory. I am very upset with the professionalism of the store and how they run their business. I do not recommend buying stuff from their online store because if your like me you will go to pick it up and it won't be there. Frustrated and disappointed is an understatement. read more

Great place for good quality used and new items. Prices are reasonable and negotiable for buying and selling unique items. They use a great numbering system that helps them locate items. Remember to write down your number. The drive is a bit far if you're not a local so look at the website really well and purchase a few things. You won't be disappointed! read more

I decided to check out The Local Flea for a bookcase I saw on their online store/gallery. I didn't know what to expect, as you are instructed to make an appointment time online; although I can imagine they would take drop ins, but don't take my word for it please (making an appointment is easy!). It is not a "retail" space and is more like a warehouse in a more industrial area. The staff was SUPER friendly and informative, no pressure at all! Very welcoming. They explained that ALL inventory is put online, updated daily, so what you see online is what's available. So easy/simple! Although I didn't take the bookcase, they offered me time to browse and/or use a laptop to browse online! I was very much impressed with the exceptional service and down to earth staff. I will be back and will continue to browse their website. They even encourage you to bargain! Bravo to The Local Flea. Highly recommended. read more

I was looking for an antique display case for the doll collection I have amassed since I was a baby. I found what I as looking for on the Facebook Marketplace and was very excited about my find. They were VERY kind and helpful on the phone and even gave me a courtesy discount as they knew that I was traveling from Reno to San Francisco to pick up my display case. It was just as promised and I am thrilled with my purchase. They have a wide variety and a large warehouse of possibilities. Look them up, or give them a call. You won't be disappointed. read more

Local Flea is a great business providing great value opportunities to savvy shoppers in the area. They work with a wide variety of client sources to provide their items for sale, so you never know exactly what they will have. I check their website for items and also follow them on FB as they have sales events etc. Very good local source for furnishings, kitchen stuff, decor, appliances, electronics, toys, sporting goods and much more. Definitely recommended. read more

However, the individual couldn't be bothered to look up or get off the computer or phone to help in a meaningful way. Additionally, my wife asked a question about a mirror and whether or not it was recommended to hang or not, and she just said, "did you look at the back?" in a rude tone. It was clear she didn't want to help us (or maybe she didn't want to be at work on this particular day). I'm hopeful that this was a one off event, I'd still like to think it was just this particular worker that was off. I think we'd visit again, however will go out of our way to not work with that individual. In the end we passed on spending a good chunk of change (in our eyes) because this individual couldn't bother to get off her phone/computer or help her customers. We will give it another chance, and hopefully the next time we're in changes our view. Incredibly disappointing for a store we used to love.

This feels like terrible marketing and customer service to not make it right or attempt to. Do not buy this product if you want a smooth recline and are looking for the leg and head recline to be independent of one another. It's not comfortable. The only thing it's got going for it is it's beautiful. I wish I would have never bought this because now my only option is returning with a 50% restocking fee. I purchased this chair with GoFundMe money so this is no small price tag for me and it seems like terrible customer service and marketing to not make this right.

To Richard's credit, he tried to fix it, sent someone out to address the cushions and then picked it up and shortened it (which I paid for even though it arrived longer than I wanted) . And then they cut it too short...end result was worse somehow, a sort of Frankencouch. This was a lost cause from the start. Biggest case of buyer's remorse I've ever had. Wound up buying a SECOND couch at Room and Board, which is what EVERYONE told me to do in the first place. Desperately wish I could go back in time and spend that 3k+ on something I didn't need to have Remoov haul away 6 months later. I wanted to buy local and they were nice people, so that why I gave them my business. Don't make my mistake. Save your money. Avoid this place.

My experience dealing with Carlos was great, and I'll definitely be a repeat customer. I've been following their website for a few months now and they consistently have interesting, affordable mid-century pieces rotating through their inventory. I think they said there are updates on the site every 10 days, but the RSS feed seems to have something new every two or three days. Since there isn't a storefront (it's run from a storage unit in Portrero Hill) this is the best way to check out what they've got on hand. I ended up going to meet Carlos at the storage unit for a pair of lounge chairs and a dresser. Normally I'm extremely hesitant to purchase furniture sight unseen, but everything I saw in person was in such impeccable condition that I regret not putting down a deposit on the dresser - by the time I showed up the next day to check it out, it had already been snagged by some lucky jerk (Carlos had told me that someone had put down a deposit on it earlier, so I knew this was probably not going to work out). Instead I had to "settle" for just the chairs, which look fantastic in my place. He even wrapped everything up in plastic wrap for me since the person who had my Zipcar truck the hour before me had apparently used it to transport their collection of dirt. Just a totally satisfied experience overall.

It turned out this dealer was in SF, so I went in person to take a look. We met Carlos at a storage facility in Potrero Hill to view the dresser. It was in superb condition. We looked at some of his other items, and they were all so cool and in great shape. Clearly Carlos has an eye for design and attention to detail, because the refinishing was excellent on the pieces we saw. We purchased the dresser and arranged for delivery, which was prompt- the next day. The dresser arrived wrapped in moving blankets and was carefully set up in my room, and it looks awesome! I will definitely be doing business with MCMF again, I found everyone to be highly professional, friendly, and prompt. Additionally, I have my eye on some other things we saw.

The lawn is always green and beautiful, perfect for letting my fur baby run around and play (or potty) and you will always see people enjoying the space, stretched out reading or talking with friends or just soaking up the peace. One of my favorite things about Union square is the art. The giant hearts are iconic in San Francisco and they're always being repainted and reimagined by different artists, so no matter how many times you come here, you will always see something new. I've seen so many versions over the years but I still stop to look at them every time I'm here because there is always something new. The hearts the statues, the occasional pop-up installations or performances, the square always feels alive. There is also always something going on. On my last visit here there were ping pong tables set up everywhere with people playing. I saw juggling classes being offered and arts programs for kids with people gathered around having a good time. There was a reading area and books brought in on carts. They even still had up there holiday backdrop that looks like it was put there just for people to use for the perfect insta shot. There are plenty of tables and benches scattered around so it's easy to grab a seat and stay a while. Even if you're just passing through and you need to rest your dogs for a few minutes, this is the perfect spot. I spent more than a few afternoons here people watching or enjoying a snack from the little stand nearby. It's really a great place to spend some time and a must do if you are in San Francisco. On the weekends you will find people trying to usher you onto bus tours or maybe sell you souvenirs, but you might also witness an event or see straight performers so you never really know what you're going to get. This is a place for visitors and locals wiith nice surroundings where you can really get a feel for and just to take in the city.

I've never left empty handed. The owners Andrew and Luis were kind enough to let me store several on my last visit, since I didn't plan on a moving truck! A beautiful dining table with four cane back chairs, modern office bookcase, large chest of drawers, raw edge bench and a stainless steel kitchen island/bar are paid and waiting for the job to finish for some and begin for me.
