I feel like they helped us make the right decisions through the whole process, especially for system size to be able to keep our NEM1 status. The new roof looks great and works really well. I waited almost a year to write this review to make sure there wasn't any water intrusion during the winter storms - not a drop anywhere. They were in the mid-high range in pricing on the bids we got, but I'm happy we spent a little more went with them. Can a roof be sexy? Ours sure is. They stayed in communication via email and kept us in the loop. Our sales rep, Liam, was great. The reason for my review now, is that we had a small gutter leak develop in a very inconvenient place, right over a doorway. I emailed Liam about it as a warranty issue and they sent someone out within a couple days. Unfortunately, during the next rainstorm we discovered that their first visit didn't solve the problem. I emailed Liam about it again and they came back out again in a few days, and this time fixed the problem for sure and tested it. The easy service after the fact really makes me glad I chose them!

The prices and quote times were made VERY clear ahead of the work so that I knew what I was getting and for how much. Two examples of Phase One going extra / above and beyond are their willingness to take feedback and send someone out, one day after the job was done to fix one small cosmetic thing I'd found after work was complete. Most other contractors once they're paid are really hard to get a hold of, but not Chris at Phase One. Super responsive. They have experience working with the City Offices here and their comfort with the inspectors who show up is because they stand by their work. I love the system and it works just fine. The problem I had was that there is something you're supposed to do in the garage [where pipes, pump, holding tank, backup gas on-demand water heater, etc. are on the wall] before you change the little switch on the thermostat panel in the house from Summer to Winter. My old housemate [who recently moved out] used to go into the garage for a couple minutes and then come back into the house and move the switch from Summer to Winter. The thing is, I didn't know what she did in the garage! ------Open/close a valve? Check water level somehow? Turn something on that was off? Fill something? Drain something? Maybe she did nothing, just looked at the wall to see that everything was normal, not leaking, etc. I had been unable to contact her about this. Then one day on my bike I saw a car drive by with Talbott Solar and Radiant printed on the door and thought, 'they must know'. Later I found their website, left a voice message and also emailed my question to them. That VERY SAME DAY I received a reply saying they'd come by tomorrow to help me out. Wow! I'd been toughing it out the last few weeks without any heat, and now, as near freezing night temperatures were forecast for the next few days, I really needed to get the solar radiant floor heat going. Dean, the owner, took only a couple minutes to show me what was what, answer questions, and what to do. No charge. I am grateful and delighted with their oh-so-helpful, friendly and timely service. I had a local company in Roseville install my POE security cameras around 2 years ago. I provided…read morethe cameras, UNVR, and CAT 6 cable. They did a great job because I haven't had any issues in 2 years. However, my sales representative was terrible. He claimed they could run cables in the attic and to my front door. Of course that was not true. When I was actually able to have him respond to my calls and texts, he tried to gaslight me about having to level a doorbell camera. A doorbell camera that comes with a leveler in the box. They also didn't install the security screw for the camera since nobody read the directions. I decided it was best to not use the same business in order to install my Ubiquiti G6 PTZ cameras. Connected Technology sent an electrician out to my house named Noel to provide an estimate. Thank goodness it wasn't a sales representative like some businesses will use. He didn't overestimate the time it would take to run CAT 6 and install the two cameras either. Other estimates I received from low voltage technicians tried to overinflate the number of hours it would take to do the work. Or they'll try to tack on "training hours" for cameras you know more about than the installers. This wasn't the case with Noel. He provided an estimate of $1.2K for around 4-6 hours of work. Which equated to $200 per hour. Noel was also proficient in terminating CAT 6 via standard RJ45 connectors as opposed to using pass through. I told Noel's boss that he had to do my installation. On the day of the installation, Noel and Aiden of Connected Technology completed the job in 5.5 hours. I was very surprised by Noel and Aiden's professionalism and courtesy. They showed up at 8 AM unlike the previous installers who showed up one hour after they were supposed to arrive. Noel and Aiden were very respectful of my lawn and plants. They didn't tear up my drip lines, plants, or trample my lawn. In fact, they stayed off the grass. I appreciate them showing a lot of respect for a lawn that I grow myself. These young men worked with a high level of attention to detail. The CAT 6 was completely hidden along the first level eaves of the house. I love how they actually took the time to remove the previous cable clips that were bundled together. I had other installers tell me that they would just run the extra CAT 6 cables for the cameras and add zip ties. I immediately knew those aren't the right individuals to hire. I consider that as sheer laziness. I paid $200 an hour for a professional installation. Noel and Aiden exceeded my expectations. The CAT 6 cables were run by Noel and Aiden. Noel mounted and installed my G6 PTZ cameras. After plugging the CAT 6 into the cameras, my UNVR immediately recognized the new G6 PTZs for adoption. The only minor issue with the installation was the fact that the manufacturer guidance wasn't followed. The CAT 6 was run down from the eaves and straight into the back of the camera. It should have been run down the eaves, around the mount, and up into the mount via an opening in the bottom. This approach creates an automatic drip loop for the camera. I notified Natalie and Jennifer who work as customer service representatives for Connected Technology of the issue. They immediately had Noel return to remedy the situation. I even got the opportunity to exchange texts with the owner of Connected Technology named Bill. Bill, Natalie, and Jennifer were absolutely phenomenal in handling the issue unlike the previous business I used. I really appreciate their ability to listen and resolve the situation as opposed to gaslighting the customer.

The quote for solar didn't have the best price but it was comparable to others. They proposed an expensive Enphase storage unit that has 10 kWh storage and 3.8 kW output. I explained that 3.8 kW might be problematic during power outages and I didn't want to spend so much money on a poor fit. The owner called to trash talk competing storage for 10 minutes. It was awkward, inaccurate, and irrelevant to me finding the right equipment.
