stopped in for dinner on a Friday while in Post Falls for the weekend-place has really good ratings so we gave it a try....AND WOW! This place was amazing, the food was SO delicious and really unique: there's something for everyone but with a great twist. I got the squash salad and it was one of the best salads I've ever had in my life. My sister got the kimchi pancake which was really gorgeous and yummy (I had to steal a bite) and my brother got a juicy burger-they don't skimp on the fixings. Just ate at this place and it was the worst food I've ever had! I am a north Idaho girl born and raised and it was just not the type of food i was raised on! They messed up our order and brought us the wrong food. Instead of getting us the right food they served the people around us before bringing us the right food! Also added a 20% gratuity on our bill. Cute place in a sweet little neighborhood. It reminds me of neighborhood restaurants in the South. We ate the Korean style fried chicken sandwich with the sweet potato hash browns and the bleu burger with fries. The fries and chicken sandwich were awesome, but the burger was a little overcooked...and this is from someone who likes their meat medium well. Found this gem of a restaurant tonight and we were impressed. They had great patio dining. The service was spectacular. Felicia our server made us feel so at home even when we were being super indecisive. She displayed excellent customer service and I feel like we left with a new friend. We ordered 2 drinks. One was a raspberry cider which was very smooth and delicious. The other drink was a huckleberry mimosa, also very tasty. Now for the food, the pretzel and cheese sauce was "stupid-good" as Felicia would say. The Mac n cheese was tasty and a generous portion. But... the topper of the meal was the amazing apple donuts. We came here for lunch on a Saturday based on Yelp recommendations. There were four of us in our party, and we were able to find a seat pretty quickly in this cozy little restaurant. We live right next to a state (Idaho) that is much more open than our state (Washington) in regards to the pandemic. I don't know if this is because we are used to a little bit of a different vibe going to restaurants in Washington state, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous going into this restaurant. Upon sitting down, the table seemed sticky, and water was delivered without any straws. Again, in a normal setting, this wouldn't be a big deal, but maybe we have been conditioned to something different where we live. I was also put off by the bathroom. It wasn't filthy, but again...during a pandemic, it did not seem to be very clean. The staff was friendly, but they did not check on us too often. There's a balance with that, but it's always nice to see if someone needs more water or if there's anything they could bring during the meal. I had the Republic Fish and Chips. I'll start off by saying that the fish was hearty, not greasy at all, and very satisfying. The fries were wonderful, too. They were perfectly seasoned, not greasy, and went well with the fish. I must admit: I was confused by the additional sides. The ginger scallion tartar sauce had no semblance to any kind of tartar sauce, and it was very runny. The side of kimchi and Sunoma carrots made no sense to me and seemed very out of place on this plate. The taste of those items were tolerable, but again...They just seemed out of place. Perhaps this is more on me than the restaurant. I'm all for people doing traditional dishes in new ways. For example, I am up for a new take on tartar sauce with fish and chips and a new take on coleslaw with fish and chips. But the tartar sauce, the carrots, and the kimchi, for my taste and opinion, just seemed out of place and distracting. I would've much rather had a variation of tartar sauce that still actually tastes like tartar sauce and a variation of coleslaw that actually tasted like coleslaw. I don't think I can fault the restaurant for this because A) I give them kudos for trying something different, and B) Maybe this is based on my own preferences and not at the hands of this restaurant. Regardless, it was a pleasant experience. The people I was with all enjoyed their meals, and it may be worth another trip just to try something different. read more

This place has a small bit of my heart. A tiny little historical house in the heart of Post Falls where I have been treated like family from the first time I walked through the door. The food is delicious and I tell you this having tried many different items. Let's take a trip through my memory bank; duck drums that are so crisp and delightful, avocado nachos which are larger than the average person's head, hot sweet potato salad that is divine and available at additional cost with sandwich or burger, a bbq salmon dish with smoke fried potatoes that are light with the occasional crunch and the beef short ribs that quite literally dissolve in my mouth hole. I have had little issue with the food here and the menu to contain all the ingredients so what you read is 100% what you get! I enjoy the staff here but as a regular customer who is a creature of habit I come the same day/time each week and am typically either served by or conversing with the fabulous Mindy who manages the joint. FUN FACT: This restaurant is owned by Chef Adam of Guilded Unicorn, Incrediburger and Eggs, and a few others! Also, they make their American Cheese in house. YUM. I've been here twice - once for a more healthier outing... the other for a cheat day. So they can accommodate. The healthy outing was for lunch and I had an amazing Kale Salad with a chicken breast! So flavorful. Not bland at all. Fresh. And they offer half portions if you'd like! Th most recent time was for dinner! Three of us had their signature burger while our other friend had the fried chicken burger and all was AMAZING. We each got the different style of fries that they offer and we loved it all. We did all think that their original was our favorite! But feel free to try them all like we did! We ended with trying the huckleberry blackberry cobbler and apple donut holes. THE DONUT HOLES DUDE. Hot, cinnamon sugary, balls of wonder. The dipping sauce is spectacular. I would honestly be down to come here just for dessert if I'm getting that. Damn. They are not messing around. It was funny because when we went to order dessert, the waiter assumed we were getting the donut holes... we WERE just going to do the cobbler but since he outright said, "We gettin' the donut holes?" Obviously we had to try it. No regrets. One note I have to throw in was we tried a Peanut Butter Latte Stout from Belching Beaver (a San Diego Brewery - represent!!). Mind blown. It's actually a light beer in color. The flavor is absolutely perfect. If you like PB... this is your hook up. They can also do it as a float... thinking outside the glass with two birds with one stone! The latte side is subtle but just perfect. Came here with my loved one and was disappointed. She ordered the chicken sandwich and it was extremely dry and just barely warm. Her fries were cold as well. I got the republic burger, the burger was decent but nothing to write home about. My side order of fries were cold as well. The waiter was nice, however he never asked if we needed anything or how or food was. $5 for a soda? C'mon really? We spent $10 just on two beverages. I have no problem paying premium prices for food as long as it's good. $17 burger with no avocado or bacon. $4 to add avocado and $3 to add bacon. I total I spent $24 on my burger alone for something sub-par. read more

I have been there a few times and the food was very good. I love it in the summer when you can eat outside. The wait is an issue but I think the food is usually worth it. It would be nice if they could seat you a bit faster and maybe offer some type of small something to snack on like peanuts or something while waiting. Just a thought. This place was recommended to me by my family and they raved about this place. I got the jalapeño popper burger with the crispy sweet potatoes and neither of them were as advertised on their menu. The burger was supposed to be stuffed with cream cheese and the cream cheese was just plopped on top of the burger. The sweet potatoes were not crispy, they were just cubed and slathered with a sweet sauce which was definitely not advertised. The service wasn't the best our waitress came to the table twice, to get our order and to give us our food but that was it. That pretzel was to die for and totally worth the second degree burns from tearing it apart. The beer cheese - yum! The Our-B-que was sweet, tangy, pickley shreds of pork. We've been several times now. I like the appetizer menu but am just not a fan of the dinner entrees. They are very bland and lack flavor even though they are described so well on the menu.
