    Handmade chicken dumplings
    Jenna G.

It was the perfect spot for a quick bite to eat! I got the edamame and the handmade chicken dumplings. Both so delicious! The restaurant itself was really cute and very clean. I definitely recommend coming here if you love dumplings! I'd love to come back and try the soup dumplings.

Such a lovely restaurant in Georgetown. I popped in on a cold day to have a ramen soup and it didn't disappoint. The Kung Fu ramen was absolutely incredible. Huge portions, a lot of meat. The meat was so tender and flavorful. The service was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend if you're in the area and especially on a cold day!

    Cucumbers

Dumplings were good however the cucumbers were not worth the money. Overall not a bad pick but cucumbers were not worth 8 dollars.

Staff were kind and helpful. Small place with a single stall bathroom and most tables were full in the evening but we were still seated quickly. The fish was really tasty, definitely recommend an extra order of rice to go with. As for the noodles, I think there are other places with tastier broth that I might go to first, but in a pinch this is a fair choice.

This is such a cute place! My mom and wanted a quick bite to eat before a movie. And because it was so cold outside, dumplings and soup sounded perfect. And it was!! From the outside, Reren doesn't look like much. But once you go upstairs into the restaurant, it's very cute and sophisticated. We shared the chicken dumpling appetizer and each got a bowl of wonton soup - both were absolutely delicious! Our waitress was friendly and service was pretty quick (although there was only us and one other table there at the time). I'll happily come back here again!

    Lemongrass Pork Chop

Stopped for lunch before my flight, but I wasn't super hungry. I picked the lemongrass pork chop and it was crispy and thin. I kinda wish there was a dipping sauce. Overall, I enjoyed it and the server was very nice.

Easily accessible location close to the downtown capitol corridor in the heart of Chinatown. Small inside, but a sit-down bar area along with regular style tables. Nothing fancy, but serviceable along with fast and efficient serving staff. My wife and daughter each started out with bubble tea and we shared a salty bowl of edamame that was cooked perfectly. Next we slurped down a dish of xiao long bao (soup dumplings) that were piping hot and delicious. For main dishes, we shared both a Singapore style baby back rib tips and an order of General Tso's bourbon chicken. The rib tips were of a sweet-n-sour nature and their gooey sticky sauce paired well with the traditional sticky rice served alongside. The General Tso's was a generous portion of chunked fried chicken with a sauce slightly more savory than normal due to the bourbon glaze. We very much enjoyed both. Glad we made the trek over to Chinatown and this specific spot. Would definitely return here.

There isn't many Asian restaurants in Georgetown so we decided to go to Reren. I've tried their Chinatown location years ago, however maybe it's this location or my memory is wrong, but I thought the food was average/ok at most. We shared the taiwan style popcorn chicken and I got the dandan noodles and passion boba passion. The popcorn chicken was ok, slightly dry, could be crispier, and needed more flavor. The dandan noodles wasn't spicy or even slightly spicy, and lacked flavor. The drink was ok, but I wouldn't get it again. Reren is on the second floor so you will need to go up a flight of stairs, and there is a few steps up to the entrance door. There is one all gender bathroom.

The food is great overall and the server are really nice. The ambiance and interior design are good. Highly recommend the Taiwan style popcorn chicken!

Chicken Soup Dumplings with Taiwanese Fried Chicken and Fries

Reren is an adorable spot in Georgetown delicious ramen and soup dumplings! Fun fact, even Tim Cook has stopped by! The ambiance is a row-house style restaurant that is a boba shop on the first floor and restaurant on the upper floor. Popped into dinner here with a friend on a cold night and enjoyed their happy hour deal of Taiwanese style fried chicken and fries. On the side, we got chicken soup dumplings. This was a delicious combination! The chicken and fries were fresh and flavorful - I specifically appreciated the yum-yum style sauce on top. The soup dumplings were juicy and perfectly meaty. The service was super accommodating with our waitress consistently making sure we understood the menu and were satisfied. Would definitely come back to Reren!

A True Hidden Gem in Georgetown! This place is hands-down one of the best finds in Georgetown. Not only do they offer some of the best prices in the area, but the food is also incredibly authentic and delicious. The soup dumplings are a standout -- delicate thin skin, bursting with flavorful broth. The noodle soups are always my go-to comfort food. Honestly, even when I come to Georgetown alone, I make a special stop here just for their beef noodle soup -- it's that good! If you're craving real Chinese flavors without the Georgetown price tag, this spot is a must-try.

Stumbled into Reren on a cold night before a Wizards game. It was great for convenience of location and warming us up, but the food was average. We ordered the soup dumplings, bao buns and edamame to start. All three were good, but nothing overly memorable. For entrees, my husband got the General Tso's Bourbon Chicken - which he LOVED. This was the best thing we ordered, by far. I ordered the Reren Signature Lamen, which I was honestly a bit disappointed by. It lacked flavor and was just mediocre. The staff was very attentive and kind and the ambiance was cute and cozy. Overall, it was a good experience, though I will most likely not return.

    Scallion pancakes and cucumber salad

Had lunch at Reren after a long walk around the Mall with my sis. It was the perfect treat! Pancakes scallions 10/10 they were crispy and flaky and very flavorful. Cucumbers salad was the right balance of acidic and light spice. The soup dumplings were comforting in a cold day. We rounded it off with pork belly bao buns - would've loved a little char on the edges, but the flavor was spot on. Ambiance is chill and the service friendly. We'll definitely be back.

Steep prices, mediocre flavor. The best dishes were the appetizers, but unfortunately the service was lackluster.

Since there were only two of us, we shared an eight-person table with three other couples, which gave it a very authentic Japanese ramen shop vibe. Our server was attentive from the start. As soon as he finished taking our order, he asked if anyone needed a fork. I really appreciated that, since I don't know how to use chopsticks and didn't have to awkwardly ask for one myself. We started with the gyoza, which were so crispy and flavorful that we ended up ordering a second plate. For ramen, we tried the tsukemen, which comes with cold noodles that you dip into a rich, soy-forward broth. It was an interesting experience, but after a while the repetitive dipping became a bit tedious for me. We also ordered the spicy miso ramen, which was my favorite of the two. It had a nice kick without being overwhelmingly spicy. It also came with bean sprouts, which aren't usually my favorite, but they added a pleasant crunch and texture to the bowl. Overall, this was a really solid meal. It wasn't quite the mind-blowing experience I had built up in my head, but it's still one of the better ramen spots I've had in DC. I'll definitely be back to check out the izakaya upstairs.

Their appetizer game was fire though. I did several rounds of the ceviche, maguro avocado, pepper tuna tatami, yellowtail jalapeño, and everything was absolutely delicious. The ceviche was a standout--the mango added just the right touch of sweetness to balance everything out. We started with cocktails, and my mango margarita was huge and delicious, a great way to kick off the meal. Overall, the food was solid across the board. The truffle tuna sushi roll was the standout of the night and definitely worth ordering. One thing to note: all the portions are full-sized, which in my opinion defeats the purpose of an all-you-can-eat menu. I would have preferred smaller portions of just a few pieces so you can try more variety. Service was just okay. Our waitress had a difficult time understanding us, which made ordering a bit challenging at times. The ambiance also leaves something to be desired, it's fairly basic and doesn't add much to the dining experience. That said, if you're looking for an affordable spot with decent sushi and a fun unlimited option, Toryumon is a solid choice. I'm glad we tried it, though it's not a place I'd rush back to.
