The quote was extremely reasonable and much less than other Concrete companies, which made us a little nervous. I emailed a couple of other clients who left reviews on yelp and they gave excellent feedback and were extremely happy with the job the crew did. We went forward with the project and it turned out great. The crew was friendly, hard working, efficient and cleaned up as they went along. The end result was great and they installed the anchor system for a basketball hoop which required a 4 ft deep hole. We needed to replace our old, severely cracked driveway and walkway. It was becoming a tripping hazard as well as looking bad. I got several quotes and then checked contractor's licenses and insurance for a few that we were considering. Resendiz Concrete had everything in good order and a clean record with both his contractor's license and insurance. I was impressed by the thoroughness of his initial site inspection, his careful measurements, and general knowledge of the process, as well as a reasonable bid, so decided to go with his company. Crew was right on time every day, worked diligently even in the hot weather we were having, cleaned up well daily, and finished exactly on schedule. They came back 4-5 times to fix the concrete and can't still make things right. They even damage the new siding of my house so I have to get it redo again. The concrete they did has holes on sides and they excused not to fill the holes because they thought I have landscaping redo in the future then the new landscaping would cover the holes. Anyway, there are too many unpleasant issues with this concrete project. They are not familiar with the building code about the 2% grading away from the property. When they started the job, I asked them to show me the level measurements and found out they made things wrong so I got to be checking that thru the project to avoid them coming back to fix the mistake. read more

Emanuel delivered as promised. Submitted a competitive estimate for the job. After weighing my options, I decided to go with Resendiz, and I'm glad I did. They completed the excavation of a 35x24 area, compacted base rock and installed rebar all on day one, and poured in day two. He came back a few days later and removed the remaining forms. Emanual came to bid on a concrete barn floor of approx 1700 sq ft right after an unprecedented snowfall in the Santa Cruz mtns. He could not get through hwy 17 so he drove around via Watsonville, while letting me know he'd be late. I got 3 bids on the project and he was low bid. I did my research and saw many good reviews on his work and ethics so I accepted his bid. We had a time constraint due to my daughter getting married in our barn in a month, and we still had a lot of barn decorating to do, which couldn't start until the floor was done. His crew spent the 1st day scraping and leveling the floor. The next day they did some touch up and laid in the rebar. The next day the cement trucks (4 of them) came, and with a crew of 10, the pour was done by 11am! They did a light brush finish, smoothed everything, ensured the barn door closed, etc. They were done by 1pm that day! Paver installation is not their expertise, it was my mistake. 1. Craftmanship is low, lot of small cuts, big gaps, and surface uneven, can't do complicate curve. When I gave the go ahead, they worked on time and got my driveway and the side of the house done. He accommodated some last-minute drainage concerns as well and completed the project in 4 days.
