I prefer to stay at Residence Inns - they accommodate my lifestyle and having the kitchenette is just so helpful. This one is larger- 5 stories and such a great location. They do charge parking. It is Chicago-land. Staff are incredible. Super friendly and attentive. 10/10 legit. Property is right on the main interstate headed into the city so that traffic is a bit hearable although I have been in hotels that are way louder so this is not a complaint. The main thing here is it is overdue for upkeep and restoration. The property is beat up, the rooms are outdated, the furnace is too loud, and it's just time. To be clear the rooms are clean and the bedding, towels, etc are fresh. Overall I recommend to Yelpers to stay here and I recommend to Marriott and management to make the updates that would keep this property on par with expectations for the brand. read more

I love Marriott's Residence Inn offering. It's similiar to staying at a luxury apartment, but for a much cheaper rate than you'd pay at most places. The cornerish room (edge middle room between two corner rooms) they gave me looked to be recently remodeled. It looks like everything in the building is recently renovated so things for the most part seem newish. No cobwebs or dust in sight (aside from the top of the fridge being a bit dusty, but alas I don't think 6'+ housekeepers are common.) Rooms are equipped with dishwashers, full size electric ovens (some don't have an oven so you have to request it,) a toaster, microwave & a fridge. They feature stand-in showers & low height toilets. Pretty much everything in the rooms is low height which is perfect, especially for those with disabilities. The Residence Inn offers a free all you can eat breakfast buffet from 6:30 am to 9:00 am Monday thru Friday & from 7:00 am to 10:00 am on weekends. There is a pool, jacuzzi, laundry room & gym. It also has a small "marketplace" next to the front desk that consists of a few items you can grab like soda, TV dinners & snacks along with personal care items. Since the hotel is small, all of the amenities are scaled to match. This means things like the marketplace & breakfast buffet have nowhere near the selection of other busier Residence Inns like the one in downtown Phoenix which also includes things like salisbury steak, chinese food & whatever they felt like cooking for breakfast alongside the standard waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, meats, cereal, etc. The breakfast here is a measly eggs (cage free,) bacon, muffins (jalapeno cheddar biscuits in muffin form so not sweet dessert muffins,) & oatmeal. Even though the breakfast ends at a certain time they do have mini fridges that have fat free milk & yogurt along with coffee/water dispensers that are always available (they shutdown the juice dispenser once breakfast closes.) There are several cons though. My room preferences were completely ignored when they assigned the room. Since the edge room they assigned me was on a lower level & near the exit...hearing the frequent slamming of the exit door as people took the stairs was not ideal. Speaking of doors...my door was defective & wouldn't close all of the way naturally so I had to push it until it clicked every single time otherwise anyone could literally just push the door open. The view was also terrible as it overlooked the parking lot & had trees, street lights, etc. blocking the window. The ice maker on the fridge was way too loud. It produces ice at a super slow pace & the buzzer seems to go off every 30 minutes or so. When the ice is done it makes a loud bang almost like a bomb went off as it dispenses the ice into the bucket. The second con is the lack of in-house food options. Third is that there's no shuttle that'll take you to nearby places which is a missed opportunity to earn a lot of extra business from traveling professionals & tourists. For some reason there were no baking pans even though my room had an oven although they did have utensils, plates, pots, etc. The rooms are also not as soundproof as they should be... with me being able to hear people walking outside in a hallway as well as them coming in going from their rooms. I also occasionally heard my neighbors upstairs & adjacent to me moving around or snoring all of which is concerning as it leaves me wondering how much they heard from my room? For a place geared towards business...privacy should be a priority. There was also whisper levels of strange electrical noises that seems to have come from the minisplit HVAC system. I was told house keeping cleans every other day, but they didn't touch my room for the first four days even though I saw them in the hallway. It took me sitting my overflowing trash cans outside of my door for them to go inside & clean the room. Even then they didn't actually clean anything, moreso just replaced the towels as well as made the bed after taking out the trash (of which the recycle bin was returned with large bits of food in it which wasn't mine so even that was not cleaned.) Also be aware of the $5/day parking fee added to your room bill which is charged even if you aren't even driving & therefore aren't using the parking lot. There was no hand soap as well as no lotion in the room so I had to use the liquid body wash in the shower along with my own lotion. Overall, this is a much better option than the normal Marriott hotel in Downer's Grove. The bed is actually comfortable enough to sleep on, the minisplit HVAC system doesn't kick in like a mule (other than the electrical noise it's rather quiet when on,) and every other amenity is leagues ahead of a regular Marriott. read more

This was my first time staying at the Residence Inn here in Oakbrook. Overall I would say it was a very nice experience. It is a nice location close to a number of restaurants along with shopping! Staff was friendly and welcoming upon arrival and all throughout interactions during my stay. It was super nice to have a social hour/dinner provided during my stay. They provided burgers, salad, chips, beer & wine (all free of charge) they also have a number of other events throughout the week. There are plenty of nice touches they provide which sets them apart from others!! Rooms are spacious with plenty of room to spread out. I would say that the rooms and amenities are a bit outdated and could use some upgrades. Elevators are extremely slow and the heaters in room appear to be very old and start to over heat/smell if you have them on too long. Fitness room has limited equipment but enough to get a basic workout in. Certainly a nice place to stay! read more

Each time we had to be moved to multiple rooms and 2 of the 3 times I had to reach out to Ken Whiteside the Assistant General Manager multiple times. I travel to Oak Brook a LOT. I have stayed in at least 7 different hotels in the area and this property will get my return business. When I arrived the gal at the front desk (pretty sure her name was Deborah) was so incredibly welcoming it set the tone for a comfortable 2 night stay. The rooms are large with a full kitchen, clean and nice sleep quality. They do complimentary breakfast each morning and an evening Happy Hour some nights. We are so happy to have experienced such kind hospitality as we did at the Residence Inn Chicago Oak Brook. The hotel works out very well for us given the superb location close to the Oak Brook Mall and many awesome eating options. More importantly, it has been a very cozy comfortable place for us to call home while there with spacious and sparkling clean rooms equipped with all the necessary conveniences. The staff is extremely warm, friendly and accommodating as well. An especially worth mentioning staff member is Darlene who has gone out of her way to make sure our family has everything we need for a comfortable stay and has gone well above and beyond the level of service we have experienced before at any property. It is due to the hospitality we receive at properties such as this one in Oak Brook that people like me continue to choose the Marriott brand for my very frequent stays when away from home. My only negative, was my room couldn't get dark at night. There are very bright lights in the lot of the hotel and I couldn't adjust the curtains to shut it the light. Woken up at 6 AM today with our smoke detector in our room chirping. Oh and it feels like 4 AM for us because we just arrived from California. Tried calling the front desk for 10 minutes and nobody would answer so my husband had to get dressed and go downstairs. They told him they didn't answer because they were putting out breakfast. Completely unacceptable. Then they gave him a battery and made him change it himself. The woman said "would you like the battery or to wait for maintenance?" Good thing he's 6'4 and handy. Yesterday we woke up at 5 AM because the alarm clock in the room was going off. Aren't hotels supposed to check that before someone checks in? Stay away from this crappy hotel. read more

This place was completely disappointing. My husband and I were here for work. The A/C didn't work during the day and the temperature outside were in the 80's. The elevator broke and I got stuck in a hot muggy elevator for 10 minutes. I tried using the emergency equipment to call and no one ever answered or came to assist. Finally the elevator moved and I was able to get out. I called later to see if the elevator would be working in the morning (so we wouldn't have to lug all of our luggage down the stairs), the lady at the front desk had the nerve to be annoyed I was askinThe icing to the cake was discovering a leak in the vent above the toilet....maintenance came and put a bucket under it, but if we want to use the bathroom we have to go down three flights of stairs....I will never come back to this place. read more

Residence Inn holds true to its' name. I really felt like I stayed in a condo complex where everyone got together in the morning to share in the HOA provided continental breakfast. As you can see from the photos, the standard size room is quite large. Besides the bathroom and bedroom area, there's also a "living room" space with a couch, 2 comfy chairs and a tv. The kitchen and small dining/bar area is what really did it for me. Full size fridge, a full set of silverware, plates, wine glasses, juice glasses, dishwasher! Plus, they offer free grocery shopping service. Write down what you need and they will purchase it for you (purchased items billed to the room). Although I didn't use that service, just having that option was very tempting. I really felt that I lived here because of the kitchen. The indoor swimming pool is small with a max depth of 5 feet. The hottub was frequented by little kids. The exercise room is next to the swimming pool, so you can watch people swim as you run on the treadmill. Other equipment in the room are ellipticals, free weights, and some stationary bikes. Each machine has a remote to the tv, which is handy. read more

We needed a location close to my relative's house while we were visiting and this was the closest and most convenient. The hotel itself was pretty nice. Clean big rooms, indoor pool, nicely equipped gym and free wifi and free breakfast. It is not fancy but functional. Debbie at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. She deserves a raise and so does the young woman (don't remember the name) who was the mgr or asst mgr. Leroy is another story!! They need to keep him away from customers. He either hates his job or all people in general. What a grouch!! Dude was consistently rude and uncommunicative. I had the unfortunate experience of needing to interact with him a couple of times, once when the flush in my room stopped working. Forget a smile or a sorry for the inconvenience but at least tell me what you are doing to do to fix it instead of just staying quiet the whole time and looking pissed like I was bothering you. Another pain was that they don't give out lotion as part of the toiletries which is really odd. My guess is that 99.9% of customers especially those who fly do not carry moisturizer since they expect the hotel to offer it. read more

I moved to Residence Inn Chicago Oak Brook after an unsatisfactory stay at a different hotel. Boy am I glad I did! From the moment I arrived I felt very welcome. My first stay I checked in and Debbie at the front desk was so wonderful. She answered any questions I had and was a joy. I really enjoyed the room setup and it made me feel more at home than a normal hotel as I was away for work. I had to be in the area again for work so booked a stay here again. This time when I checked in it was with Dylan and he was wonderful as well. Both stays my room was comfortable and the grab and go breakfast each morning is just what is needed to start the work day. Spent a weekend here with my family about two months ago, but I did not get around to finishing my review. The hotel has recently gone through a renovation. All the rooms are clean and decorated nicely. I especially liked the social area adjacent to the lobby. This area doubles as a dinning area for the breakfast service, but once clear, it is comfortable place to sit and read or watch to a game on the big screen TVs, with other guests. The staff here were courteous and very accomodating with all of our requests. We would definitley come back here for another stay. read more

Wow! After my experience with the highly overpriced and aging downtown Marriott, this was a welcome surprise. First of all, everything is included - even parking and WiFi. They had a social going on that included wine, beverages and a baked potato bar, complimentary. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and very polite. My room was absolutely gorgeous. Sparkling clean, large, roomy, full kitchen, almost better than my apartment back home. I can see why it is called a Residence Inn - I could happily live here. BTW, breakfast ROCKED! Being allergic to wheat, I can usually only watch as others eat muffins, bagels, waffles, etc. Today I had scrambled eggs with cheese, salsa, and fresh cut green onions. Ham. Hash browns. We booked a room here with their Brookfield Zoo package and requested an early check-in, which we were happy they were able to accommodate. I immediately noticed how new the hotel seemed. Very clean and very "up to date". We were greeted immediately, and checked-in quickly. Walking down the hall to our room, I noticed that the carpet seemed so vibrant in color and clean, and wondered if they had just gotten new carpeting. We were on the 4th floor, an end room. We had 2 large windows in the room which gave lots of wonderful natural light. The room itself was pretty spacious for a queen bed with pullout sofa. It fit our family of 4 very nicely. After our adventure at the zoo, we came back to the hotel for the kids to take advantage of the indoor pool. That night (we stayed on the 4th of July), we were able to view the fireworks from 4 local area shows right from our room windows!!!!! What a plus!!!!!!!!!! The next morning we took advantage of the complimentary hot breakfast which had scrambled eggs, hash browns, Canadian bacon, fixins for breakfast burritos, fresh fruit, bagels, muffins, yogurt, cold cereal, oatmeal, make your own waffles, juice, coffee and milk. It was very good, and I just love hotels that offer a hot breakfast. We generally will pick a hotel with these offerings over those that don't. We would definitely stay again! Just checked in and asked for a quite room but was given one facing loud highway. When I asked to be moved to the quite side of the hotel I was told there were no other rooms available because that were all reserved. I asked if everyone had checked in. The clerk said they had not all checked in yet but she had to hold those rooms and could not allow me change rooms. At this point I realized it was a power thing with the clerk-she had the power and she used it. The hotel was fairly clean but a little beat up. One elevator had cardboard lining on the floor and walls. The door on the frig in our room had many dents as if hit with a sharp object. The windows are dirty. None of this is really terrible for a lower level property. Just not what we've come to expect in a Residence Inn. Especially one in Oak Brook IL The clerk called our room later to apologize and offered to call around to try to find another property for us. Too tired and too late for that. We'll continue stay at Marriott properties because our experience at this property is not typical. read more

This was the hotel of choice for a friend's wedding at Brookfield Zoo. I really enjoyed the place, especially as an extended stay option for some people coming for a week. The Residence Inn had a bunch of upgrades for rooms, so we decided to pay $20 extra and upgrade to a suite with some chilled champagne and snacks waiting for us upon arrival. We came a bit early and got checked in with no waiting. The staff was pleasant and they were clearly used to accommodating wedding groups. Our room was nice and spacious, with a couch, table, desk and kitchenette. There were supplies in the kitchenette and enough space to store stuff if you decide to go shopping. The TV was a bit outdated, but it had cable so no complaints from me. Free WiFi in the rooms and a hookup at the desk if you need it. Nice, free continental breakfast in the morning and apparently there's dinners during the work week. There's also activities for people to socialize during the work week if you're staying awhile. Sounds kind of fun to me. The breakfast/living area in the lobby is really nice with TVs, couches and a nice fireplace. Great area for hanging out and socializing. Our only complaints were our upgrade to the champagne and the amenities for weddings. We never actually got our champagne/snack upgrade, but they were nice about giving us a refund the following day. The hotel also has a bizarre, expensive shuttle use policy for moving people back and forth to and from venues. It definitely put a damper on my experience since I found myself having to drive to/from Brookfield Zoo for the wedding and reception instead of being conveniently shuttled. However, these two things don't make this a place to avoid - it's a great place to stay for a night or a week. read more

Good old Residence Inn. Located in right next to Oakbrook center with lots of great choices for dining. I was here for about 3 weeks. It's the best place to stay for long periods but not long enough to be able to get an apt. I usually get the studio which is very spacious. This time I stayed in the one bedroom which separates the sleeping area from the kitchen and living room. Rooms are big enough for 4 ppl with pull out sofa bed. Really comfy. Excellent staff and cant go wrong with free breakfast. My favorite part is Mon-Wed, there's social hour where they serve things like chili, salad, and all you can drink wine and beer. whooo!! read more

Disclaimer: When I travel, I never go to "nice" hotels, because I believe a hotel/motel is just place to sleep and not meant to be part of my vacation experience. This being said, my expectations are relatively low. I was spending a week at this hotel while on TDY for Honor Guard (military funerals). I was not expecting an apartment-sized hotel room with a living room area separate from the bedroom and a full kitchen! When I say full kitchen, I mean literally everything. Stove, microwave, fridge, plates & utensils. The living area had a TV as well as the bedroom area (I didn't use them, because I prefer my MacBook). My bedroom/bathroom was efficiently changed and restocked everyday (with Paul Mitchell products, I might add) and their iron was amazing. This doesn't generally mean much, but given I had to wear my dress uniform everyday for a week -- the iron matters. Within minutes, every single wrinkle was gone. Even my personal iron doesn't do that! They offer complimentary dinner Monday - Wednesday that included Miller Light beer and three different types of wine! Of course, they also had breakfast every morning. I hesitate to call it "continental," because it really was so much more. You can make your own waffles, breakfast burritos or oatmeal. They had other dishes that varied from day to day as well. The employees are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Since Honor Guard is there every week, they know us rather well and treat us accordingly. I look forward to my next TDY -- they made my experience truly phenomenal! read more

This hotel is really fantastic! The location is pretty good, although it was hard to find in the dark at 3:30am. Free breakfast!! Love that. But better than that - they have free dinner! From 6pm - 7:30pm they have free dinner and drinks! Tonight they had tacos, I don't know what they have most nights but that was awesome. Free beer and wine with it too. The rooms are better than other residence inn's i have stayed at. Very updated, but I wish the beds were softer. They are fairly firm so if you are a pillow top person these won't be your favorite. My wife and I used Residence Inn for our wedding. They were easy to work with, friendly, and it was painless to block rooms off for our guests. They offered great services, rates and the rooms had everything you could need. They held up their end of the bargain for what we would get if we had enough rooms booked, such as a round trip shuttle service to the wedding ceremony/reception location if we had 10 rooms booked. In addition, the front staff were very accommodating in handing out welcome packages to our guests that we gave them. And they also, I'm sure, dealt with our noisy guests partying in the lobby area until the wee hours of the morning. read more

I stayed here for two weeks while attending a training course and was very pleased with the accommodations. I was by myself and had plenty of room to roam around in unlike countless other hotels that cram a queen-sized bed in front of a television and call it living space. The place was always cleaned and the bed made every afternoon after class, and it felt safe enough to leave a laptop out in the open without it disappearing while I was away. The wireless was a bit finicky with my iPad making it hard to use Netflix but ran a speed test (I was on the fifth floor) and clocked in at over 6Mbps download. It was free however so I couldn't complain too much. They serve a hot breakfast every morning which includes scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, and various entrees throughout the week. Good coffee, milk, juices, bowls of fruit, bagels, and cereal are also available. Monday through Wednesday they serve single entree dinners with beer, wine and sodas available. All this is included with the room tab. I saved a bundle on meal charges because of these guys. You can grab a complementary USA Today or another local paper if you wish as well. There is a small indoor pool and spa, along with a gym and business accommodations. I didn't use the pool because it was usually occupied by families and children. The staff was friendly and usually greeted me every time I walked by. It all felt very reasonable for the price and I would use them again if I ever need training in Chicago. read more

I have lived in the Oak Brook area for around 30 years. During my wedding weekend, I decided to lodge some important relatives in this hotel due to the decent reviews and the fact that it was conveniently located. I can say with confidence that this hotel may have ruined my wedding weekend. Yes, you heard that right. Their service when booking and working out the room block was good. But this was before they take your money. After they take your money, you'll be lucky if you ever get an email reply back. The hotel sales manager told me that my guests would be taken care of. Instead, they were treated by the front desk staff like criminals and vagrants when they arrived from a late and delayed flight in the middle of the night. Knowing in advance that their flight would arrive late, I informed the staff who said they would accommodate them. I assume this also included that they would be polite to them, but this was not the case. They also assured me that they would run my credit card before the arrival of these guests (since I was paying for them), but this was not done. Ken, the genius at the front desk at the time, ran the card at 3am and of course it triggered a fraud alert. I was awoken by this the night before my wedding, called the hotel, and Ken decided that he wanted to give me attitude about how my guests were at fault. He also stated that my guests were "complaining" that their room was not big enough. Well, they happened to be right. This was also the fault of the hotel, never stating in clear terms that a 1 bedroom would not accommodate a family of five, even after I asked them verbally several times. I told Ken to get them another room. He proceeded to ask in a shocked way if I really meant I wanted to get them another room and spend $600 dollars. Of course Ken, why would I be up at 3am the night before my wedding asking you to do so. Ken stated he had to restart the computers and I said well do it then. He made it sound like it was some inconvenience to him, rather than to some people who had traveled 2000 miles. When asked how long it would take, he said it takes about 2 minutes. He's giving me an attitude because it takes 2 minutes to restart a freaking computer? Total novice training and unprofessional attitude. After the wedding, my guests, including my sister who was also staying there told me of other issues they had with the hotel rooms. They did not want to tell me earlier due to the fact that it would put a dark cloud over my wedding weekend. Some complaints included that the hotel never brought children blankets because it was cold in the room. One night they slept in the cold without extra blankets. Some other lights and the thermostats were not working in the rooms. There was also someone staying at the hotel who was smoking weed, which makes me think that this hotel attracts people with bad manners and also low class individuals who think it's okay to smoke weed in a hotel room. Overall, we spend more than $3000 in accommodating guests and referring guests to this hotel and we got horrible service for our wedding guests. When complaining to the general manager, she was not helpful at all. She refused to give her last name when asked. She also asked "What's the issue?" when citing the aforementioned complaints. She was overall a horrible person who not once congratulated us on our wedding. Very amateur customer service and training. We followed up with corporate regarding all of these issues, since the people who work at this hotel are unprofessional, unaccommodating, and generally amateurs at what they do. We filed a formal complaint, but they did not offer any written apologies or any compensation (not that we were even looking for that). The sales manager who was very quick to respond to emails the week before the wedding has yet to respond to my invitation for a phone call. I am writing this review to prevent other people from going through what we and our guests did. Avoid this place. There are many other options in the area. This whole ordeal caused me unnecessary stress and the day of my wedding I was only going on a few hours of sleep thanks to Ken. Just horrible and immoral people all around. They should be ashamed of themselves. If they want to be a part of the Oak Brook/Hinsdale community then they should act like they have some class. read more

I stayed here for a conference I was attending in Oak Brook. To my surprise, the suite was modern and had a full size refrigerator (stainless steel), stove, dish washer, dishes, pots, plates, glasses, and silverware! In the room was a flat screen television, a very comfortable bed, desk, small kitchen table w/chairs, and a couch/chaise. The room was clean and modern. There was an indoor pool, which I was not able to enjoy due to work constraints; however, I did enjoy the happy hour with free snacks (flat breads, bean and corn salsa w/chips), variety of beers and wines. We selected this location instead of Lombard IL down the road because this one has an indoor pool. Rooms are a little smaller and don't have a fireplace like Lombard location. Rooms very clean and easy access to highway and business district. Shopping across the highway (drive there). This location has much, much better front desk service and breakfast is served hot and kept stocked. We haven't had the drama that surrounded our stay (other travelers) in Lombard either so whether your traveling for business or with the family, this location rates better and we recommend it. If your looking for an actual Marriott, the one just down the road looks very nice. read more

The hotel is off the beat and path wouldn't expect it to be where it was. The front desk was nice and helpful but wasn't around much they busy attending to guest. The to wasn't the best not real clean a lot of dust on top of furniture. The rooms need updated and cleaned better. The lobby and eating area is well kept. Pet friendly hotel which was good for our stay. read more

Don't stay here. Hotel parties. Screaming. Running down halls. Music blasting at 1am. Hotel front desk guy says he'll check it out. No sign of anyone. Very unpleasant night for someone traveling for business and needing to work early AM. read more

Wonderful Hotel experience! The staff was warm and welcoming! Our room was beautiful with a small kitchen and living area included! They will even go grocery shopping for you if you'd like :) each morning there was a full spread of breakfast from eggs to breakfast burritos and it changed daily. The pool and fitness area were both clean and very nice. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back! read more

Would have given Zero stars if it was an option. Where to start? Had my work Christmas party in Oakbrook so booked a room here. So wish I didn't. First, they don't provide military discounts, shame on them in my eyes. Second, we had 1 hour to spare so decided to go to the hot tub and pool, the pool was like 40 degrees and the hot tubs jets were broke. I even used the red emergency phone to try the front desk because maintenance were here so thought they could do something. Nope the emergency phone didn't work either. They should be glad I am not an inspector as they would have had several violations. Third, we go to the free breakfast downstairs at 8:45, the milk was expired by a lot and my boyfriend put it in his coffee and it was thick and floated, disgusting, now the worst of it is that was the last of the coffee, they had no juice, and the pop machine wasn't working so he had nothing to drink but spoiled milk. The biscuits and gravy broke 2 forks and a knife as well as the sausage which looked like and felt like a hockey puck. Forth, I used the downstairs bathrooms by the elevators and no signs to day man or women so of course I walked in the men's. This hotel is a train wreck. I do not recommend it. A total waste of $152. I would have been better off sleeping in my car. Sad but true read more

Hotel was clean and neat, however we had flees in our room. The night desk clerk moved us immediately. Breakfast was fair. Overall ok stay.

It was well worth staying outside of the city for our brief family visit to Chi-town. There is a train station not too far away (more than a walk, but under 10 minute drive) and there were plenty of amenities in the area for us here. This Residence Inn is in a strange location where it's surrounded by office buildings, but again lots within a short drive. The breakfast was always nice. The gym was small but served the purpose and the pool was well maintained and didn't leave me smelling of chemicals or my eyes burning. The only problem I had was the HUGE kids birthday party that took over the pool for 2 days while the parents took over the lobby seating area. There were unsupervised children all over the place (include really annoying elevator rides!). read more

Husband underwent immunotherapy (for cancer) at Loyola Medical. Hotel referred by Loyola; we needed to be within 30 min drive from hosp in case of emerg for an extended stay (5 wks). Brooke/Sales, entire hotel staff, including David/GM, either met or exceeded expectations for an emotional & unsettling journey away from home. Everyone was welcoming & attentive. Due to husband's compromised immune system, staff followed special protocol by wearing shoe booties, face masks, and gloves, whenever entering room. Hotel convenient to xways, shopping malls (incl. groceries) with ample parking. Near I88, I was pleasantly surprised we were not bothered by excessive noise. The hotel common areas clean. Did not take advantage of indoor pool/hot tub. There is a small fitness room but did not feel comfortable with cleanliness of equipment. Incl. breakfasts were sufficient. We had a 2B/2 bath suite with full kitchen (full sz frig, stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher) so I was able to do most of the cooking while husband was on special diet. Beds comfortable, baths clean. Only complaint would be furniture in suite (chair & sofa couch) could use updating (looked a bit worn, low seating height, uncomfortable) but we managed beautifully. Furniture would not have been an issue for a short stay, however, a lot of time spent in room aside from daily "outings" to hospital.
