My refridgerator had some issues July 4th weekend. A tech came out and diagnosed the issue with the unit but needed an additional part. He set the refridgerator up to work temporarily. I paid the $75 visit fee and the tech informed me he would order the part the following business day and be in contact with me in order to schedule a follow up visit to complete the work. He never called me back to set up the second visit and avoided my phone calls. I ended up ordering the part myself. EDIT: I have attached screenshots of the text he replied to but then ghosted me, and now is claiming he has no record of the site visit. If that's the story you want to stick to I will also post the credit card charge for the consultation. Additionally, I called him from my cell and he sent me to VM. My Maytag fridge's ice maker had stopped producing ice, so after a bit of research, I determined that the root cause... could be one of a million different problems lol. So I decided to call in somebody who knew what they were doing. SO pleased with the service, from beginning to end. Responded to my messages within minutes, arrived at the early end of the service window, and was so respectful of my space. The tech wore gloves & a mask, and removed his shoes when he arrived without being asked. Was extremely polite, and left the workspace neat and tidy. When he figured out the problem, he gave me a full explanation. The problem was some freezing in a normally very-expensive component. He explained it could be a one-off issue, or a defective piece. But what really impressed me was his methodical and honest approach to fixing the issue. He didn't want to jump right into charging me for a pricey replacement and fix. He cleared the freeze-clog and just charged for the service, asking me to call back if I continued experiencing issues. (No issues so far! The ice maker is working again!) The honesty, kindness and expertise of this whole experience really blew me away. I will absolutely use this service again in a heartbeat if any of my other appliances start acting up. Plumber was here 3 times and couldn't figure it out. Eli was great, would have been here that day but I had to work. He arrived Saturday morning. Called me 15 minutes prior. Looked at everything and just said replace it. All the parts were out of stock. Asked him advice about replacements. He did a cost analysis on purchase price, repair costs, and value comparison.
