Tried to like it but I truly not a big fan of their breakfast. I had wayyyyyyyy better. The pancakes don't have any flavor. Bland and very floury along with being too crispy for my liking. Eggs seemed like it was a liquid mix which I also don't like. Hard shell fresh eggs are so much better and healthier. Chicken sausage was ok. Service was good. We were greeted nicely and seated right away. Our server was attentive. I gave an extra star for that. While there I found out they have live music during the week and on Saturdays which I'd like to check out. Check out there calendar of entertainment during the month. I came here for dinner with my family on a Friday night. I'm not sure if it's a regular Friday night thing, but they had live music. We had the option to sit in the music area or outside of it. We opted for inside. Instant regret. Lol. It was so loud, we had to pretty much yell to talk to each other. But it ended about 15 mins after we sat down. I had a strawberry margarita to drink, and it was delicious. I was actually feeling a bit buzzed after having it. I ordered the broiled salmon and opted for the garlic seafood sauce. That sauce was sooo good. The salmon was flavorful, but just a tad overcooked. The broccoli was definitely overcooked. I didn't care for it. The salad was a nice, fresh salad. I popped in for a quick lunch. I thought I would the Lobster Street tacos. They were fantastic. Perfect size, full of flavor with aoli on the side. Of course, I had to have a margherita to wash it down. The margherita had Milagra Tequila in it. It's definitely a winner with taste. The service at the bar was fantastic as always. We were almost done with our meals when our bar drinks came out I had the pancakes with fresh fruit and whip cream. Gahhh it was so good!! For pancake and waffle dishes, you'll need to add on meats or eggs for extra if you want I also got the fresh squeezed orange crush. This was surprisingly strong I also had the beef empanada. Came with a green avocado sauce which all were good. My guest has the chicken empanada and prefered the beef one over chicken Apparently this place is fairly new. I nice family style restaurant. Met my Yelp friend Miss B here for bunch. Had planned on going elsewhere but due due to time constraints we decided to meet here be issue it's about halfway between where we both live at. Come in around 1 and there was no crowd at all. You have to pay attention on how to get into the lot. There is no entrance to their lot from the shopping center next door. Pretty basic menu with some traditional brunch options. We ordered some of the empanada. The chicken one was a little dry but the beef was delicious. I went for the waffle with no sides. Wasn't super hungry so it was more than filling for me. This is a great little spot, especially for young families for a late breakfast or early lunch becuase they have a dedicated kids area! The bar is well stocked and the drinks are very good. I started off with the Jacky Tamale as an appetizer, & I wish I ordered more! It tasted just like the ones my grandma makes for the holidays, doused in this delicious, tangy, spicy sauce. Using jackfruit as the main filling was quite a surprise, it was my favorite out of all the dishes. The jicama beefless enchiladas was filling with the salsa verde complimenting the dish and the tacos came in warm and flavorful. We had such a great time that we didn't realized the restaurant was closed and it was 30 min past nine! They were so patience with us but these employees need to go home & rest too! The only downside I will say is if you have a sensitive stomach, the plant-based items may not be for you, as I was not feeling well the next day. It was my first time at the restaurant. I went there to pick up a free art kit, but I decided to stay there since I was hungry and wanted to eat before I went to the hair salon. When I entered the restaurant, I was greeted and seated right away. It wasn't busy. It's a nice size inside. There were plenty of seating. They serve plant based food, salads and soup, burgers, sandwiches, cocktails, etc. For my drink, I wanted a Strawberry Daquiri, but they didn't have it, so I ordered Passion fruit. It taste good. For my food, I ordered the Skirt Steak and Eggs with bagels and fried potatoes. The food was very flavorful. The server suggested I try the Banana Flambe French Toast next time. The server was nice. The waffles are above average thickness and soft. The hashbrowns and toast have a nice taste. The omelets and coffee are fresh but average tasting. The dessert case at the entrance was 90% empty but the couple items looked good. They should fill the dessert case with decorations, shirts, pictures, and menus so it is more welcoming. This place is mostly known as a breakfast and brunch spot. Situated beside the shopping plaza- it's just a right hand turn from there (dropped the pooch at petco for grooming). Ordered the Monosa Tree at $20 which included pineapple, oj, strawberry (the best), and cranberry. There wasn't a Bloody Mary on the menu surprisingly, but they have a full bar. They do make them. Beef empanadas was tasty, and so was the skirt steak and eggs. Wasn't expecting much from skirt steak but it was nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked! Would recommend both. Only a 4 due to limited menu, the oj mimosa had a weird fake orange juice flavor. Def will be back. The service was attentive and they were pretty busy when we came in on a Sunday at 9:30. We didn't have to wait long for Seibels' old spot to get filled. Some minor updates inside and BAM Restaurant 198 has arrived. A lovely Salvadorian family has installed themselves and started serving some excellent food. Everything that can across the table was delicious. We started with the C&C Crab soup which was excellent. It was filled with crab and was also quite filling. I will order this everytime I come for sure! The main courses we ordered were the Chimichurri steak, spicy omelette, and berry (strawberry and raspberry) French Toast. While the omelette was mine I wished I'd ordered the steak. My son kindly let me try it and wowweewowwowwow! It was perfect! My spicy omelette wasn't as spicy as I'd hoped but the kitchen may have made an adjustment for me because I'm an old man. It was, though, cooked perfectly and considerately (meaning that the kitchen was keeping an eye on it as it cooked). The Mrs. had the French Toast and really enjoyed it which is saying something because she tends to say the most food is "fine." Also, it came with three slices of bread (instead of the normal two) so if you are super hungry then this may be the dish for you. The service needed a little attention as our main courses were brought out in the middle of our appetizers but timing is something that's easily fixed. I am sooooo going back to this place. In my quest to try a new (non-chain) restaurant while waiting for my child's sports practice to end, I came upon Restaurant 198. Looks like a family friendly atmosphere and service was excellent! Crab soup was amazing! Lots of crab! I also got 2 empanadas: one black bean and one mushroom/cheese. Both were good, but I enjoyed the mushroom and cheese one better. Disappointed that there were no pies left for $2 a slice Monday, but I was pretty full and that was my sign that the meal was over. Great outdoor patio with some rocking music on a Saturday night. The manager was around a bunch (or at least I think he was) and he was always keeping an eye on things. We didn't eat here but had some beers- they were out of a lot of things on the menu which was a huge bummer. No High noons, no yuengling- it was confusing to figure out what they DID have. Nice frosted glass given to you with your beer though. The bathrooms were a bit in need of a face lift and the trash was almost overflowing. We didn't eat here but food looked decent. The mixed green side salad went perfectly with the spices of the cheesy omelet. And the huge patio windowed area was so peaceful! I could not believe that I was near a busy highway. I like this place. I've been twice so far and I went a few more times under the old name (Seibel's)! I like that they're open every day! I usually sit at the bar when I come. They have some outdoor seating. They have some great happy hour specials, Monday to Friday, 3 - 6 and Sunday, 5 - 9. The drinks are good - my favorite is "Paul's Old Fashioned." I wasn't sure what to expect, only hoping that I wouldn't be offered just another meal of old, frozen fillets. What I got instead was as fresh as it gets and full of flavor! I had passed by Restaurant198 several times and saved it on Yelp and thought it'd be a good time to try it out. It was a pretty quiet Sunday afternoon and we were sat relatively quickly in the dining area closest to the window. For food, I ordered the hot & spicy omelet which was really good! Perfect amount of fillings and it wasn't too overwhelming to the point where I couldn't finish it. My bf ordered the 198 morning, easily substituting extra hash for the side of meat. We noticed that there wasn't an a la carte menu for ordering a single pancake so we ordered the breakfast portion and split it. The mimosas seemed a bit overpriced so we skipped this. I would definitely return for a local chill breakfast spot & to try happy hour. We visited Restaurant 198 on a Saturday night in mid-January. The roads had been snowed on for much of the prior week but were finally cleared. Temperature was in the teens, and the Ravens had just finished winning against the Texans when we headed out. It was our first time visiting. The restaurant is just off Rt. 198 with ample parking. The interior was nice, roomy and warm. I noticed that they have patio seating, during warm weather, as we entered. The servers and staff were friendly and very accommodating. We sat near the bar area, which had a cheerful and pleasant ambiance. It was about half full, which was surprising given the weather, roads, and playoff games. The drinks were cold, and the food was warm and well-prepared. Everything we ordered was well prepared, with good-sized portions. The beef empanadas were incredibly delicious! Savory beef filling, perfect crust, and a lightly aromatic blend of spices! They had live music in the same large room that night. The music was very entertaining and really enhanced the atmosphere! A local band, Miss Moon, expertly performed R&B, pop, rock, indie, and originals. They were very entertaining without being intrusively loud. I will definitely be going back to taste some more items off of the menu and, hopefully, enjoy some more music. read more
