This place is two restaurants in one. One restaurant has ok dishes for the regular who love the old standbys. The food is fine, as it should be at this price point, but not really worth going out your way for either, given the price. The other restaurant has has a rotation of seasonal dishes that tend to be very good. I wouldn't make the trip down here from Vancouver for the first restaurant, but I would for the second. I'm oversimplifying here since, if you get one of the standard dishes here, like the ribs, the ribs will be fine and they'll come with a selection of seasonable vegetables that are likely to be very good. But, why not just skip the fine ribs and order the dishes that are really outstanding here? BTW, if you care about covid safety, this place isn't great. The "outdoor" area is fully enclosed and not really different from being inside.

Ate here before a concert at Abbotsford Centre, and it was amazing! We had a group of six, and the server understood our timeline to get to the concert. The bill was split without any problem. Overall, great service. There is very little waiting area and only two metal stools at a very small bar, so don't get there too early for your reservation!! We did take advantage of those metal stools - not the most comfortable, but allowed us to have a drink and a chat with the nice bartender (good advice on concert logistics) before dinner. Hubby and I split the octopus appetizer, and it was terrific! Next time we will have to get 2 orders! The octopus was nice and tender with a hint of char. Perfectly cooked! Then we both had the lingcod entree. Beautifully presented! Both of us enjoyed it very much! Others had the brisket special and raved over it. Not a huge beer selection, but they had one of each style. We hat the local Fieldhouse Salted Porter and a Four Winds IPA. Nice wine selection reported by our wine officianado friends. We will definitely return! It's a little hard to find, and don't let the outside fool you. Plenty of free parking at the rear of the building.

We had some business in Abbotsford and were pleasantly surprised to find such a wonderful restaurant within 5 minutes of our visit. I have eaten at some of the best restaurants around the world including some with Michelin star chefs. The food at restaurant 62 was absolutely delicious. We had pork belly, shortribs, and duck. Finished with a malt crème brûle. Everything all prepared perfectly and the vegetables were very fresh and tasty. The fresh warm bread was a nice touch as well. And the service was really good We will definitely be back!

This was the best dining experience I have had in a while. Honestly I was expecting it to be a bit pretentious but it absolutely wasn't. The food not only looks good it tastes good. There wasn't a single thing I disliked. The price probably was a bit expensive next to like White Spot or something but I guess we're kind of used to spending this much in other restaurants anyway. So for the quality we got it just made sense to me. I mean I liked the steak more than the one we got at the Keg which was also a fantastic steak. And my asparagus was grilled to perfection. The potato with the steak was nearly cut into little medallions so that we could easily eat it but it still held the shape. I dunno these might be superfluous details to you, but for me they added to the presentation. The atmosphere was nice. Not too loud or bright or dark. We were seated immediately and the staff were very on the ball. Orders came out quite quickly in fact, which surprised me. My husband asked for something not specifically offered as a digestif on the menu but they had it. 5/5 we really enjoyed it. We will come back again.

Restaurant 62 offers what many restaurants in Abbotsford cannot, upscale dining. They have a small menu, but it changes from time to time. And they also have features. The best thing that we had on the menu was probably our appetizer and drinks. We loved the chickpea spread (hummus) and warmed bread and drinks. I ordered the Ginger Hippie cocktail, and my boyfriend got the Alexander Eggnog, they both were delicious. Our entrees on the other hand missed the mark, they were tasty don't get me wrong and presentation was there, but they were lacking in flavour. I ordered the feature Arctic Char fish, and there was just a lack of flavour. The skin had a crispy sear to it but I personally don't eat it so the rest of it was lacking in texture and flavour. It came with nugget potatoes and seasonal root vegetables which were nice, but I wish I had more sauce. My boyfriend ordered the pork chop, it's presentation again was amazing. There's was just a lack of flavour present within the meat. The portion sizes are great. You just have higher expectations for what you're paying for when it comes to flavour. Out nephews had Mac and cheese that they loved. We also had the sticky toffee pudding, it was kind of like a bread pudding mix with carrot cake dessert.

Risotto & Scallops

Tried out this place just Last week, and it's one of the only few upscale dining places in Abbotsford. They are a farm to table restaurant, and the menu selection is pretty great. Except vegetarian and vegan options which is why I had to give a four star review instead of all the stars. The one vegetarian pasta dish that they did have, was not good at all so that was very disappointing. I definitely will be back, since I enjoyed the appetizer which was the risotto and scallops and the main dish I had was Duck. They were honestly really well done in both presentation and taste and so it was definitely a bummer that the vegetarian pasta fell through. Also for dessert we ordered the crème brûlée, which was also a perfect light and smooth ending. I look forward to coming back to restaurant 62!

I feel that considering it was not just any anniversary but our 25th, they did nothing to make the evening feel special which was disappointing. I'm disappointed as I was so excited to try Old Surrey Restaurant as we were hoping we could come here going forward for birthdays and anniversaries.

This was a return visit on a cold rainy night. The restaurant was busy and we didn't make a reservation but was accommodated. Middle of the week but it was busy. The menu appeared to be the same but there were several specials for the evening. The food came but for some reason was not exciting. The taste was fine but each bite did not evoke the desire to have another. We finished the dinner and left a bit disappointed as our expectation was high.
