This restaurant has amazing Mexican food. I never get disappointed coming here. The food is always delicious and prices are reasonable. I have ordered picaditas, menudo and sea food. Their ceviche mixto is really good and their fried fish is amazing! Their salsas are homemade and they have handmade tortillas. They have cinnamon coffee which tastes delicious! Our first time here and it looks really amazing. We ordered huevos rancheros, half a dozen oysters on the half shell, fish tacos and lengua tacos. My order is "to go" but I snapped a couple pictures of someone else's order as it came out to be served under the patio tent and it looks just like or better than the pictures that they are advertising! Without having tasted it ... I would highly recommend this place noting the portions served and that they hand press their tortillas! The giant tent for patio dining in your parking lot was packed yesterday (that brought me back today to try them!) and yesterday as well as this morning at 9 a.m was super busy!!!. Called an order in and was told it would be ready in 20 min. Arrived 25 minutes after ordering and was rudely told by the cashier that "I arrived too early". I said I would wait. Once the order was done I opened it to check and it was not seasoned like we normally get it. We have ordered the fish several times. The cashier called the cook over and had an argument with her and then with me. I was told they could not replace the food since it would "be a waste". The waitresses here wear some nice outfits for the Gentlemen....It's kind of like Mexican Hooters, but instead of the orange shorts...they wear some red mini skirts. This place was quite a surprise! I was not expecting much but I ended up getting way more than I wanted. Aguas frescas are delicious and hydrating, the salsa for the chips had the right amount of kick, and the atmosphere is really nice. Definitely date night material. The food is not the most delicious thing in the world and the waitress was so busy dealing with other things to pay attention to us, but damn does this place have personality. I am not too sure why this restaurant has such bad reviews~ we came to try their pozole and it was delish! My mom got pozole rojo and I the verde. They both came in HUGE portions with a side of cabbage, limes, tostadas, and AVOCADO! Usually places charge extra for that so it was really nice :). We also got the chips and salsa they were perfect, including the side of frijolitos and cheese. We also ordered aguas- horchata and Tamarindo both were really good and not too sweet. We ordered hot coffee and it reminded me of a warm hug with delicious notes of cinnamon. Service: the girls were attentive and kind. We didn't expect 5 star service but they came though and made sure our food was good and that our needs are met. Also it was a busy Sunday morning (inside and outside where packed) I saw some reviews complaining about folks coming to sell items at the restaurant, we had the same experience but we loved having them sell their items. We bought pencils that were cute, a nice distraction before getting our food. I would definitely give this place a try! I was super hesitant on coming and had the mindset of heck no. I don't care if you think it's gross or weird, I am a white girl who loves some pig stomach or esophagus or whatever it is [yes I've heard different things different places and am still not sure what it is]. This place has some of the juiciest buche I've come across. Yes my burrito and banana shake were about $12 [yes I was shocked when handed my change by my friend], but after getting home and eating and feeling so much better, I knew it was worth it. The few things that caught my eye on the menu were the agua frescas, Liquados, and of course alcohol. Immediately I had to order a Mexican banana shake, and it was sooooooo goood! Candice B. ordered the Buche burrito, all meat... because thats just how she rolls. both the burrito and the shake came out to about $12 which seems kinda expensive, but the flavor of the burrito and the amazingness of the shake made it worth it! To me this is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. Hole in the wall type of place with authentic homemade-like Mexican food. Not your typical fancy place for a romantic dinner but if you love Mexican food you will love this place. Everything I've had there is delicious. Don't go here this is the worst restaurant I've ever been to. The service is terrible, you wait 40mins just to get your order taken and another hour and a half to get your food served. They don't clean the tables or the restrooms and there's food and napkins all over the restaurant floors. Any food like enchiladas, chilaquiles, burrito mojados etc. that come covered or are made with salsa verde or roja taste like the canned food from the grocery stores. I would not recommend this place to anyone! The service was awful! We come in and sit down to a dirty sticky table. As we wait for our order to be taken four different people came in trying to sell flowers, music, cartoon cds, and there was one guy who came in asking for money once we politely said no he cussed my mother out. The waiters did nothing, another customer had to tell the guy to leave. We ordered our food, once we got our food the food was okay except for the seafood plate we got tasted like the seafood was old and expired. Not to say when we told this to our waiter, all she did was ask if we've eaten this type of food we said yes. All she did was give us a dirty look for pointing out that we wouldn't eat this because it was old. She took the plate away and came back until 15 min later to ask to take the dirty plates.
