Fantastic experience! The food was amazing, the crowd was just enough to hear your date, and we even got to meet delightful owner.

I found this Granbury restaurant on yelp and thought we would give it a try. We were really impressed by the ambience, service, and unbelievable food. Between six people, we had lamb, scallops, steak, swordfish and duck. Two of us ordered the scallops on butternut squash puree w greens... it was SO DELICIOUS that we canceled the next evenings reservations, to eat at ANISE again. Upon our Saturday night, (second) visit, the chef added veal, so that we might have a different option. This is a small restaurant and the city of Granbury does not allow any signage. It is about two blocks off of 377, near the Granbury square exit. Really worth checking out!

Goat cheese and honey appetizer, get this!! So delicious

The moment you walk in you're invited to a cozy dining experience. The staff was very polite and made sure we were well taking care of. The foods was absolutely delicious! Everything we ate was outstanding! You can tell the quality of food here is fresh. Highly recommend!!! Hidden gem

Anise owner Megan finally replied to a review I left 2 years ago. Please see the attached picture I attached to see what she said.

This review is about service and customer satisfaction at Anise. Please look at the picture I attached regarding a message I just received 12/26/2024 from Megan the owner of Anise regarding a review I wrote two years ago. Some of our friends were talking about Anise and encouraged us to visit . So I made a reservation for my wife and I and went there on a Friday. When I got my Amex statement a month later the statement charge did not match the amount I remembered so I found out that I had been charged twice for a jar of honey I purchased. In Megan's Yelp message she said my review is made up because she would remember it. Well I can remember it clearly that the meal was expensive, a long way from 5 stars and the best part of the meal being the honey. The honey was in fact so good that I wanted to buy some and was double charged for it. So I wrote a letter to Anise and included the receipt and requested a refund. After a week or so, I got a reply letter saying it had been too long for a refund and offered no apology. By the way, I am a UT grad, native Texan, veteran, and owner of two separate software companies which we built and sold, and after I retired from business I drove special needs school buses for GISD (certainly not for the money). In my opinion Megan care more about her ego than her customers satisfaction. Go Horns.

We have eaten at Anise 3 times (each month the menu changes) and each visit has been a culinary adventure! Megan and her team really pair together flavors that melt in your mouth and makes you say "YUUUUUMMMMMMMM!" We will not be surprised if this restaurants catches the eye James Beard. 1,000% we will return!

Frutti di Mare: Octopus, Clams, Shrimp, Gluten Free Pasta, Fresh Herbs, Cherry Tomatoes

My wife selected Restaurant Anise to celebrate our 33rd anniversary. She has some food sensitivities, so she called the restaurant a few days in advance and the chef was able to modify some of their dishes to be both dairy free and gluten free. The chef also offered to make a custom dessert for her. The dining room only has about 10 tables, but is both elegant and intimate. The servers were friendly, attentive, and very helpful. My wife enjoyed the chilled avocado soup with braised rabbit, frutti di mare, and a poached pear for dessert. I had the mixed greens, bison strip loin, and meat and cheese plate for dessert. The mixed greens were light and flavorful with bacon, blue cheese, and a soft-boiled egg. My bison was perfectly cooked and accompanied by roasted carrots, Yukon mash, and fava beans. My dessert was a flavorful meat and cheese plate. All of our dishes were artistically plated - making dinner an experience for the eyes, nose, and taste buds. Restaurant Anise has a fairly small menu, as it is a small restaurant, but chef Megan Potts changes the menu monthly to provide variety. Overall, Restaurant Anise is an excellent choice for our anniversary dinner or any fine dining occasion.

Sorry for the bite that's gone- couldn't help myself. Citrus Cheesecake - November menu

Be sure to make a reservation if possible as this place fills up quickly. We went on Thursday at 6:30pm and it was hopping! Our waiter Lee was phenomenal. He went over the specials and was quick with our drinks. He gave us time to enjoy each course so we did not feel rushed. The food was the best overall for our weekend in Granbury, Tx. The owner (Gary) came to our table and introduced himself. He took his time to have conversation with us which I really appreciated as most will just do a walk by. We will be back!

Absolutely Outstanding Dining on the Square - Christina's Never Disappoints!…read moreChristina's has become one of our absolute favorite restaurants in Granbury. The location right on the square is perfect, and the ambiance is warm and inviting, ideal for a special night out or a celebratory dinner. The food is consistently excellent. The Chilean sea bass is a standout, perfectly cooked every time. The seared scallops are wonderful, with a beautiful crust and tender inside. I've had the salmon multiple times and it's always nicely seared on the outside and wonderfully tender and flaky. For appetizers, the pear & Brie crostini is a must-order sweet, savory, and absolutely delicious. Yes, it's a bit on the pricier side, but the quality, presentation, and service more than justify it. This is a busy spot (especially on weekends), so reservations are highly recommended. From start to finish, everything about Christina's feels special. Attentive service, beautiful plates, and food that tastes like it was made with care. If you're in Granbury, make the time to eat here -- you won't regret it. We'll definitely be back again soon!

Our server did okay, not great, at coming by the first time. I got a side salad w Ranch, a side of grilled/sauteed vegetables, and split some nachos w my compadre. Salad was a good size for a dinner salad, everything fresh. The veggies were super flavorful, probably sauteed in butter based on the flavor. Nachos were a decent portion & checked the boxes. Compadre commented about the prices, I reminded that when you're on the actual water you've gotta pay for the view and the uniqueness a lot of rstrnts can't offer. They acknowledged. We enjoyed our meal. Bathroom clean, but out of tp in one of the two stalls. Overall we liked the place. From the reviews it seems they have gotten much better w the food than it was under prior ownership. Hats off to them, the food was on par, not lacking in any regard.

The cocktails were spot on, and the steaks came out cooked perfectly. Most of the sides were great, though I'd probably skip the macaroni next time, it just lacked flavor. The complimentary bread with herbed olive oil was a perfect start to the meal. The pricing felt a bit high for what you get, but the ambiance more than makes up for it. Our server was super friendly and did an excellent job pacing the meal so everything flowed smoothly. The only hiccup was a water glass showing up with bright red lipstick on it, but it was taken care of immediately, no harm, no foul. Overall, this is a lovely spot for a fancy night out with good service. And don't forget to swing by the shop next door to pick up some top-notch olive oil.

Decent Lakeside Convenience Stop, But Food Is Just Okay…read moreStumpy's is one of the only two spots right on the lake in Granbury for a quick bite, so it definitely serves a purpose. I stopped in for something fast and ended up with the typical deep-fried fare. I'm not particularly fond of the food -- everything tastes like it's been fried to death -- but if you're craving classic lake snacks, it gets the job done. I'm sure they have healthier options on the menu, but I didn't notice anything that stood out. Portions are generous, which is both a blessing and a curse. On the plus side, you don't have to feel wasteful if you don't finish your plate -- just walk it over to the seawall and the trained catfish and carp will happily clean up whatever you drop in the water. That's honestly one of the most entertaining parts of the visit. The location is convenient: you can shop for overpriced swimsuits and lake-appropriate apparel while you're there, and it's a solid place to stop for gas. They still sell ethanol-free fuel, which is a big win for boaters and anyone who cares about their engine. Overall, it's not a destination for great food, but it's reliable for quick, no-fuss lakeside eats and extras. Three stars feels about right.

Pick up or delivery is also offered. Desserts change and depend on availability. We had their Nutella and plain cheesecake which were decadent but haven't seen it offered again in the last month. Today we were told to ask what's the dessert available that day. My favorite sno cone is the coconut with added coconut cream for +$1 more medium $5. Their Peach tea was very good also. my mil liked their BLT which had a lot of bacon. We liked their $6.50 lake tots which are fries and tots in a cream gravy, bacon , and shredded cheese enough for 2-3 people but they were out of shredded cheese which I was told at the time she delivered it to my car. My only complaint is that I wish she would've told me that at the time I placed my order and asked do I still want it or would I like something else, or discount the price by a little. It was tasty but I ordered it bc I wanted something cheesy. I should mention their delivery inside Indian Harbor is $2 and typically Tues- Sun 2:30pm- 7:00pm but may change based on employee availability just like all restaurants that are experiencing worker shortages. Otherwise, they're open Mon, Thurs, Fri 11:30am-8:00pm, Sat &Sun 10:00am-8:00pm, and Closed Tues &Wed. It's a great place to get a sno cone esp saves a drive out of the community onto 377 when you have a craving. Hope this one survives in Indian Harbor where others have failed!
