They're serious when they tell you that it's a distance from the roadway through the pedestrian pathways. Be sure to set the hotel in your GPS as the signage down drops off at times and you'll wind up having to ask for assistance. If it's during tourist season, you'll have massive amounts of people to navigate past. That said, once you arrive, you are greeting by a relaxing and welcoming setting. The rooms themselves are lovely - a mix of mid century classic Italian/Amalfi along with some modern touches. The rooms are lined with Italian tiles that are soft to the touch. I opted for a balcony with view and I'm really glad I did as I have a gorgeous view along with seaside smells throughout my stay. I often left my balcony doors open overnight for both the ocean sound & smell experience. The one negative is that it occasionally gets loud or smelly from the fuel of the continually loading and unloading of passenger ferrys which are literally steps away from the hotel. Be sure to spend time at the glorious pool as the staff are attentive and the comfort is extreme with absolutely stunning views on top of it all as the lounges face out towards the sea and mountains. The restaurants - both Savino and the breakfast area are staffed with helpful and friendly folks - especially the hosts themselves who want to ensure you have a great experience. My dinner was one of the best meals in Amafli and breakfast was plentiful and fresh each morning - again both featuring stunning views. The property was clean and well maintained and the front desk and concierge team were absolutely outstanding and willing to ensure you have a great experience in Italy. It was the best decision to stay in Positano as it totally cleared of tourists by ~5P which made for a truly magical setting throughout the seaside and adjacent hills.

It is one of the most beautiful properties I have seen - every nook and corner was filled with bougainvilleas and lemon plants. It is the definition of an instagram heaven. The small portion sizes were expected for an upscale place like this. I don't think the food was memorable and it wasn't something I would go back for. Located in the Amalfi Coast across from the picturesque sea. This mostly outdoor upscale ristorante offered exceptional food and even more exquisite service. Giovanni and Roberto both took care to make sure our 2 dinners there were perfect. The first night we dined on pasta that was house made with sauce your Nona would be proud of. Fresh made bread baked in-house came out steaming hot and soft inside . Nocino after dinner digestive finished off the meal. That was perfect for us since it is near impossible to get Nocino in the states. Our return the next evening was filled with fireworks celebrating the Saint of Positano over the water as we ate ravioli with 3 sauces. Simply delicious. This was the "splurge" hotel of our 13 day trip. How perfect it was to begin our once in a life time trip at this spectacular hotel. Not only was it beautiful, it was clean, decorated elegantly, and the grounds were impeccable. The views of the coast were breathtaking the ocean was lit with the stars and lights of the boasts that lined the outskirts of the shore. We were immediately upgraded to a suite and our minds were blown away. Every detail was cared for and we never needed to ask for anything. House keeping came twice a day and replenished water, coffee and fresh towels were abundant! The staff was unbelievable. Sabrina and Pascal treated us like family. They were warm, patient, friendly and understood all of our jokes and embraced us with equal humour. They helped with taxi arrangements, reservations, and even suggested restaurants. They were not afraid to give honest opinions of local eateries or activities, and gave us cost effective and time efficient alternatives to our local travel plans. I cannot rate this hotel and its staff high enough and would recommend to any and all who read this review. We are leaving today for Rome and more destinations throughout this beautiful country.
