    The view from the restaurant

We came looking for another restaurant but it was closed so we decided to eat here as it was the only one open at the time. Is a lovely restaurant located on the beach. It also has an inside seating area. We ordered the prosciutto e treccia do mozzarella, gnocchi alla sorrentina, and the spaghetti con cozze. The food was really good! The prosciutto was delicious and the mozzarella was super fresh and yummy! The gnocchi was good, not outstanding but good. The spaghetti was delicious too. Big plate with lots of mussels! Overall a good experience!

The food was great and the staff was friendly and attentive. We sat outside and had a view of the water. The pasta was delicious and the seafood we had was fresh and tasty.

We stopped in here after being well greeted by a worker. We decided to have a drink and tried the grilled octopus. It was delicious! So fresh and grilled to perfection. The staff were super friendly and there for whatever you needed. This is definitely a great spot in the Marina to sit outside during sunset.

Amazing! We stayed in Sorrento for 3 nights and had the opportunity to eat at Taverna Azzura twice. Both times were fantastic. Service was friendly and food was fresh and very tasty. We sat by the water and the view was spectacular. I'll be dreaming of this place until we come back.

Had the most EXCELLENT meal here. Service was impeccable-they didn't have any tables available so they literally took a folding table out of the restaurant for us and set it up right on the water! Sitting on the water's edge here and eating fresh seafood was a magical experience. The seafood pastas, house white wine, mixed seafood appetizer, and pear cheesecake were all amazing and one of our favorite dinners in all of Italy. Price was also really reasonable (especially the wine!). Would highly recommend checking it out!

It may have been a bad night for the staff- the communication between our server and the kitchen resulted in a lot of chaos. We ordered drinks and appetizers of fried calamari and smoked salmon, then mains of one 4 cheese pizza and two lasagnas. Well, when the pizza came (it maybe had one cheese, Important because it didn't seem like the right one but we ate it anyway assuming it was right) and we only got one lasagna. I waited patiently, and so did the table next to me who was also missing an item (a pizza). After trying to tell our server we needed another lasagna, it took around 30 minutes for us to actually receive it. But guess what- the table next to us got their pizza an hour later! AND they brought out my mom's pizza- the right one! They had given US the pizza for the table next to us, didn't even realize their mistake, and had made their pizza again, seemingly realizing the 4 cheese pizza they had probably made an hour earlier never made it out. They didn't know what to do with the now extra pizza, so, making up for the mishap, gave it to us on the house. Now, I'm not particularly upset with our experience, but it was disappointing our last evening in sorrento was a bit of a mishap & a few dismissive words from one of the worker left us stranded for two hours with half of what we ordered. On a different night maybe this restaurant would be 5 stars for the food (it was good), but tonight it didn't quite achieve that.

My favorite meal in Sorrento! The crab ravioli and linguine with lobster was cooked so well and tasted like heaven!! The caprese salad and drinks were also delicious! Highly highly recommend eating here, the view could not be better right on the beach

Wonderful service and delicious food. The scenery is also breathtaking. What is amazing is that the prices are better than some of the restaurants in Old Town that pale in comparison to this place. You'd think with the level of service, the views, and the quality of the food it would cost a fortune. We are definitely going back!

Hey! Pretty good! Our driver for our Amalfi Coast tour recommended that we head to Marina Grande for a less touristy, less crowded place to have dinner. From the main piazza in Sorrento, it took about 15-20 minutes to walk there. The restaurant has a lot of outdoor seating, but it's not the most pleasant view as the beach is quite dirty and ugly. Their menu is definitely seafood centric, but has appetizers, first courses, second courses, and side dishes like other places. We got some bruschetta on the house!! which was very tasty (even for me, the tomato hater), grilled sea bream, linguine with prawns and fennel, and crab ravioli, along with grilled vegetables. The food was all very good, and seasoned well. The price was a bit high, so that (along with less pleasant views) is why I docked a star.

Crab Ravioli is delicious. Seabass is fresh, moist and grilled to perfection. Lasagna is great too.

Not only was it a wonderful surprise to end up dining right by the water, but even with a line out front, we somehow got incredibly lucky and were seated on the patio completely by chance. I noticed what looked like the owner (or perhaps the general manager) walking around, checking on guests, and helping with service, which added such a warm, authentic touch. Like many restaurants by the water in Italy, the seafood here is incredibly fresh ~ and this place is no exception. We ordered the seafood platter, grilled vegetables, and ravioli with marinara sauce. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious, right down to the bread. We also enjoyed some Prosecco, which paired perfectly with the meal. The view was stunning, and the whole restaurant buzzed with lively, happy energy. I would definitely return ~ not only because it was surprisingly affordable, but also because restaurants like this, with their true authenticity and old-world charm, are my favorite. One small note: the bathroom is on the second floor, so if you're older or have mobility issues, just keep in mind there's a set of stairs to climb. But that's very common across Western Europe. Fun fact: This beautiful little spot in Marina Grande has some real cinematic history. Sofia Loren and Vittorio De Sica, while in Sorrento filming Dino Risi's famous 1954 movie "Pane, amore e..." (Bread, Love, and...), actually sat at the tables of Trattoria Emilia. How amazing is that?

We wanted seafood because when in Sorrento...why not opt for super fresh seafood right by the coast?! Our server recommended a really delicious local red that was super reasonably priced and we enjoyed with said red: For Primi -- *Gnocchi alla sorrentina (Sorrento-style Gnocchi): I mean...we kinda had to get a regional specialty right? Gnocchi here is potato based instead. It was SO delicious - still perfect texture. They also served this HOT HOT HOT with melty cheese. So delicious and a really generous portion!! *Spaghettoni alle vongole (Pasta with Clams): Another favorite for us in general so figured a really fresh version could be stellar and it didn't disappoint! This slightly edged out the gnocchi for me flavor-wise, but the gnocchi was dang good so it just goes to show how DELISH this was!!! For Secondi -- *Grigliata mista di pesce (mixed grilled fish - this was an incredible plate of such fresh seafood. There was various fish, a giant prawn, octopus alll grilled & seasoned to perfection! *Swordfish special! -- apparently it was swordfish season and it was a 'fresh catch' and I feel like you could tell! Really lovely and nicely seasoned. Portions were very generous & we were way too full for dessert at this point! So you could probably eat more "American" style here (Just 1 entree instead of our approach), but the menu here is pretty stellar!!!
