We dropped in here because we were in the area and were looking for a quick lunch. WOW!! What a find!! The food was authentic, flavorful and delicious!! The Tamales are fully stuffed and had the proper taste and heat for AUTHENTIC Mexican food. My daughter and wife had Horchatas to drink and both said it was the best that they had gotten anywhere in the Phoenix area. I took a chance on the Mexican coffee, (which I have found to be pretty horrible around Phoenix) and it was perfect. I had the pleasure of having real Mexican coffee in the military when I was attached to a Mexican Army unit in the field. I have never been able to find anything close since then. Now I have!! To top everything off, the service was top notch. If you needed help understanding what the dishes were, or what the spice levels were, the server was happy to guide you along. 100% recommended!!

I checked out this place the other day and it was so/so. I like that it seems like a very small mom and pops place and the gentleman who took care of me was so nice! I found the food good but nothing really stood out, and the tacos are really small! I will come back to try the mole because I've heard good things. I'll have to update.

Such a delightful find! The tacos were amazing, authentic rice and beans as well. The service was top notch and our server was so kind and attentive. We were here visiting and would definitely come eat here again.

We wanted to give this place a try as it was in walking distance from ASU's campus. It took us a minute to find it as it shares space inside an existing coffee/deli/bar (look for a sandwich board sign outside). The service was friendly and welcoming as we figured out this is a small operation. We didn't anticipate them closing earlier than their online posted hours (not sure if it was because of staffing or plans they had that night). They were great about making sure were were taken care of before they officially closed up. They have limited non-alcoholic beverage selection however this is where their sharing space with a bar comes in handy. Our food was fresh, but our disappointment was in the small portions and lack of flavor. We found ourselves reaching for their assortment of sauces they brought us in bottles to enjoy at the table. My husband's three tacos were more the size of street tacos so he left feeling hungry and after paying $15 for his meal. I went with the 3 enchiladas with rice and beans. I liked how I had the option between cheese and chicken. I went with a mix of both. My plate came out looking impressive but in reality it was really a lot of shredded lettuce along with the rice and beans. The enchiladas themselves were rather small and the chicken was dry with little flavor. We hope this place can thrive as the energy the person who helped us makes you want to cheer them on to succeed. Perhaps it was just what we ordered recognizing we were the last customers as they were closing early.

Al Pastor, Asad & Chicken tacos with rice & beans!

Best Mexican food we had our whole trip! We absolutely loved this place. From the Al Pastor to the tamales to the Asada, it was all so good.

A hidden gem! Service was excellent and the food was to die for. We absolutely loved the enchiladas combo. The waiter even offered us 3 extra salsas along with the green salsa that came with the chips. I loved the red salsa and the avocado based salsa, and my boyfriend loved the spicy habanero salsa. 100% will be coming back soon. :)

10/10 - No notes, except maybe that I'd like to see a little more of what the wizard of a cook can do, but I understand it's new and in a small venue and often these places need smaller menus. The enchiladas tasted delicious and the refritos were some of the best. They even let me try all of their salsas on the side--one of which was perhaps even too spicy for me, which is saying a lot. I'll come back to this place many times.

    Flacoyo or Tlacoyo

What an unassumingly amazing spot! The flacoyo (tlacoyo?) was the highlight of my lunch. That sauce though!! The flavors here are wonderful. The owner is so friendly and everyone working here is so efficient!! It doesn't look like much on the inside, but it's so cozy and welcoming.

I ordered the chilaquiles and really liked the flavor. They came with a small "salad" on the side (lettuce, tomato, avocado) as well as refried beans. The chilaquiles were cooked in a relatively mild tomatillo salsa. You can also choose between a green, red, and habanero salsa on the side if you wish. I really wanted carne asada today, so they allowed me to add it to the top for an extra charge, even though it's not usual. The chips were a little more soggy than I'd expect, but that's what happens when you order chilaquiles to go. Better to eat in! I think they'll probably add the "meat" options to the menu soon, but today they told me they had beef (assuming shredded?), chicken, and carne asada. This restaurant just opened up inside of the building (Tempe Farmers Market?) on the SE corner of University and Farmer. It shares the space with a coffee shop during the day. There are a few booths for seating as well as tables. There's plenty of parking in front of the business, but you could easily park along Farmer Ave if needed. The owners are very kind and helpful! I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Sometimes the best meals happen because your original plan falls through. That was exactly the case…read morehere, and honestly... I'm not even a little mad about it. I ordered the veggie tacos with roasted sweet potatoes (skin on, which was absolutely the right call), pepitas, feta, and all the right toppings. Whoever prepped those sweet potatoes deserves a raise because they were cut into the perfect sized pieces. Every bite had a little sweetness, a little crunch, a little saltiness... it just worked. My dining partner ordered the barbacoa tacos, and I didn't even have to ask if they were good. The involuntary "Mmm..." after the first bite answered that question. Four tacos disappeared in record time, followed by, "I could've eaten two more." That's about as glowing of a review as you're going to get. Now let's talk about these tortillas. Handmade. Corn. Tortillas. Are you kidding me? They're the kind of tortillas that had me question every tortilla I've ever eaten. Soft, fresh, and somehow they manage to steal the spotlight even with everything else on the plate being so good. The chips and guacamole were excellent, too. The chips have to be made in-house and they disappeared at an alarming rate. The salsa that came with them had this smoky, fire-roasted, chipotle flavor that kept me reaching for another chip... and then another... and then suddenly I realized I'd eaten way more chips than I intended. The bottled table salsas deserve their own paragraph because they completely confused me... in the best way. They bring three to the table... a green, a red, and a darker red. I kept tasting them individually thinking, "Okay, these are alright." Then I started mixing them. Game over. On their own, each one was solid. Mixed together? That was the magic. I don't know if that's what they intended or if I accidentally stumbled onto the perfect combination, but from that point on, every taco got the salsa trio treatment. The only tiny hiccup was when we first walked in. We were greeted, asked if we wanted menus, and sat ourselves. We waited for a bit thinking someone would come take our order, only to realize it's actually counter service. Once we figured that out, everything was smooth sailing. Not a big deal at all... just something first-time visitors might want to know. Follow the sign "order here" I also loved the layout. You can actually watch them making the food, which somehow makes the wait even harder because everything smells incredible. Two tacos ended up being the perfect light meal for me. Could I have eaten ten? Absolutely. Those two statements can both be true. Meanwhile, my dining partner polished off four barbacoa tacos and was talking about ordering two more. We only ended up here because another place happened to be closed, and honestly, I'm glad it worked out that way. This ended up being one of those meals we keep talked about on the drive home. Oh and the bathrooms?. I walked in and immediately thought, "Whoa... this is a cool bathroom" The lighting had this pinkish-purple glow that made me feel like I'd accidentally wandered into a trendy lounge instead of a taco shop. I honestly wasn't even sure there was regular lighting in there and I didn't look... because the vibe seemed so intentional. Finally, the music. .. upbeat, dance-worthy, the kind that had me bouncing in my seat while waiting for my food. Between the atmosphere, the lighting, and the music, the whole place had me want to hang out a little longer. Zero regrets. I'll absolutely be back... and next time I'm ordering more tacos.

He was incredibly kind and attentive, especially with my friend who is deaf, making sure we always had water, napkins, and plenty of chips. The margarita flight is always a must for me, so I had to order one for my friend since it was her first visit. I told her that even though neither of us are into spicy margaritas, I knew she'd love it and I was right! Every margarita was delicious. I also ordered the lavender lemonade, which was refreshing and just as good. Ghost Ranch never seems to miss when it comes to drinks. Potato tacos! Another must have My friend ordered the Aztec Cake and insisted I'd regret not getting it. She was absolutely right. It was bomb and Torrance offered us a side of chips .TY. I ordered the short rib. It was flavorful, tender, and filling, with lots of garlic and savory flavor. I'm not sure if short rib is just not my thing, but it didn't wow me the way the Aztec Cake did. I warmed it up later and it was delicious a second time so no complaints. Excellent service, delicious drinks, and a fun way to spend the Fourth. We'll definitely be back!

Been waiting to check this place out for Happy Hour and finally got around to it with friends. Happy Hour is daily with $3 off all appetizers (not just selected as the menu says) in addition to drink specials. We ordered a few apps to share and had: - Chips with Guacamole and Salsa: solid - Queso Fundido: I was excited for this as friends have said they liked it, but the cheese harden within minutes and it wasn't as nice - Street Style Esquites: I was expecting more corn rather than mixed in another cheese dip and likewise, the cheese harden quickly. - Shrimp cocktail: it was pretty heavy on the liquid rather than thicken, but good - 3 potato tacos: okay, wasn't expected it to be fried so it was a bit greasy but loved the slaw it came with - Southwest egg roll: not bad, was a crowd's favorite and I liked the sauce it came with We didn't realize most of the apps came with tortilla chips otherwise we may have ordered differently. I got the frozen margarita and it was a bit sweet, but nice for the summer evening. Our server wasn't super attentive, but was nice whenever they came around. There's a sampler entree platter I'd like to try, but of all the appetizers we tried, the best was probably the chips with guacamole and salsa.

The spicy salsa is the opposite of the one you would think is spicy out of the two, so pay attention. Hubby got a combo with a tamale & ground beef burrito with rice & beans. He said everything was good. He also ordered a side of guacamole. I thought I got a picture of the guacamole & sour cream. It's crazy how much they charged for them. They were the small plast condiments containers, but they charged almost $5 for the guacamole. I don't remember the extra cost for the sour cream, but it too was way too high for the tiny size. I got a chicken chimichanga with grilled chicken instead of the shredded chicken which came with rice & beans. It was all good. Our server was friendly & did a good job. We loved the decor. It reminded us of being in Mexico. The table & chairs are really cool too. I wanted to love this place, but the cost of the sangria, sour cream & guacamole are just too high for me to justify coming back.

The Las Vegas roll was always nice and warm but with an awesome cold center and fried to perfection and the sauce just right. Lately it's been the opposite.
