Came here for lunch, pretty busy and fast service. I like the salsa bar,, that's a plus. Pretty simple menu, ordered asada, pastor, cabeza, barnacoa tacos. Tacos had pretty good amount of meat but I was little annoyed to see that asada was $1.96 more.. WTH Love the salsa bar so I can load them up to my liking. I did taste the meat by itself before I ate them loaded. Cabeza was pretty good, pastor was very disappointing, had that cooked meat with some sprinkle of seasoning. Barbacoa was probably the tastiest but I got a big chunk of fat in my bite.. I love fatty meat so i didnt have issues but I can see someone not loving fatty part of the meat taking a bite. Asada probably was my least favorite. Lack of flavor and definitely not worth over $5. We came here last night after a show at Gammage. We ordered three al pastor tacos and three asada tacos, a grape Fanta and a michelada. The place was packed, I think there was a game or somthing thing going on. The tacos were so disappointing, there was no flavor to the Asada tacos and a weird after taste on the al pastor tacos. Great food and fast service. The drink size is huge! I got delicious horchata but could not finish it. Chicken is juicy delicious. Asada and pastor are also good. Many varieties of salad to choose from. There is one real spicy salsa. Lots of TVs to watch sport games. The seats, mostly are high tables or bar style, are more for a small party. Stopped in for a quick dinner after work and got a 4 taco plate!+ chips and salsa. The tacos were good, and came with plenty of meat. I also appreciated the salsa bar options- lots of fresh and spicy salsas to choose from! My only criticism is that the taco meat itself was a bit lacking in salt/umami flavor, which is a shame because the texture and temperature of the meat was perfect. The lack of salt was quickly fixed by using the salt shakers on the table and the limes at the salsa bar, but it would be nice to have a bit more flavor in the Asada meat. I had seen the crowds of people at the Taco Boys at Roosevelt Row, so I was glad to see that there was a new location on Mill Avenue. We went for lunch on a Friday, and it was very busy. It was packed with ASU students, as well as just the general public. It is all counter service, and they have a salsa bar. There is a bar as well, but it was not open when we were there - - maybe somebody would have gone over there to serve a drink had anyone ordered one. There's also patio seating outside, which is a good thing for people watching on Mill avenue. We ordered the Platos, one chicken and one carne asada, and it was plenty of food. It comes with a stack of delicious tortillas to make tacos with along with beans. On the day we were there the beans were very very soft, almost like liquid. I did not like them. It may have just been that bad so I'm not sure if it's always like that. We will definitely go back. The platos were very good value and we would order them again. read more

Came here after hearing about this place. Had a chicken (good), steak (Good), and barbacoa tacos (just ok). Now it comes just with meat and shells but they have a salsa bar with 4 salsas (avacado salsa was actually really good), onions and cilantro, limes, pico de Gaco , etc. I also had a order of their fries, they do give a lot but they are your basic run of the mill fries. My visit to Taco Boys was a 10/10 experience. I have visited before so I was somewhat familiar, but wanted to see the ASU vs BYU game there to see how it was during games. I did walk there, so I cannot speak on the parking situations for people that drive. The staff was just as welcoming as before, and always make sure that you get everything as you asked for it. Customers were all friendly as everyone was an ASU fan rooting for the same team. I attached the Menu to this post, it friendly for non-spanish speakers, so that is one less worry. The atmosphere was amazing. Everyone was welcoming and the service was awesome. They have an amazing TV setup, with one big screen and a plethora of other screens available, inside AND outside. At first I genuinely thought it was going to be one of those low quality ingredients Mexican taco place or it was gonna be like a white washed one but to my surprise it wasn't at all. The tacos were genuinely so damn good I got al pastor nd they had so much flavour it was super mega good kinda upsetting that they don't add pineapple to it but it's still really good on its own and the tortillas de maíz were chefs kiss, they didn't get soggy or break. i really wanted to like this place, upon arriving they were playing peso pluma which i loved, the line moved fast and the customer service was amazing there was one cashier working two registers at the same time and making it look so effortless, the place was clean and there's a bar as well, this place felt more like a taco shop/mini club which i was wasn't expecting, i got my food within 10 mins, my first problem was the salsa/condiment bar the layout is so small and people just barge in to grab there stuff because it gets crowded so easily because the space is so small, i waited in line and people kept going in front of me, maybe change the layout or make a bigger condiment bar, the bean and cheese burrito and the barbacoa taco were delicious, the carne asada fries were the worst ones i've ever had in my life even filbertos is better and i don't even like filiberto's, the fries were SOGGY and super oily at the same time, the cheese was like waxy and didn't melt properly i had to take majority of it off, it also came with no sour cream with made the overall dish really dry without, i would probably come back and try the tacos but stay away from the carne asada fries please read more

Ordered the small veggie quesadilla for the first time. Traditionally I order the large for $12 and receive a huge folded quesadilla that lasts me four meals. Opted for the small size and was charged $8 and received a tiny corn tortilla trying to disguise itself as a quesadilla. Per the photo my food was packaged with steak and as a vegetarian I was unable to even eat this contaminated meal, or should I say snack.
