While I'm not a huge fan of the menu, I was a fan of the fact that I ordered food ahead of time and it was ready upon arrival. I was with a large group and lunchtime fell during our time in the Animal Kingdom park and was told this is where we were going for lunch... so if you're in the area and want a fast casual lunch option, this will work! I went with a chicken sandwich, my son had a burger and my daugher had mac & cheese. Each of the kids' orders came with choice of sides including fries, a mandarin orange, or french fries and a drink. I like to come here because I know I'm going to get some quick food. I don't think the food is the best quality especially if you get a children's burger make sure you get a cheeseburger otherwise you're going to be eating essentially a hockey puck. The fries here are elite and I think that's my favorite thing about it. I usually get either a hotdog with fries without the chili and cheese or a hamburger but again I warned you the children's burger is like a hockey puck. It is hard and dry and I do not recommend. This is also a nice escape in Dino land since much of the area is under construction. I believe that this restaurant will be closing soon so if you do have a interest in going to it visit it before February because I believe the closing date is early February. Also, this is a nice place if you just want to sit down and get out of the crowds and relax because the dining rooms are never usually very busy and you can sit alone at a table and just take a rest. I don't think I ever imagined giving anything Disney less than 5 stars, but here I am. We opted to grab burgers for lunch. I've always loved that Disney caters to food allergies and I hadn't had any fries all vacation. We did mobile ordering, but it appeared everyone had this in mind. Took one bite of my burger and had to double take to make sure there wasn't a sponge bun. It was absolutely disgusting. My daughter only ate half of her burger (on regular bun). If you love dinosaurs or have a kid that's wild about dinos, Restaurantosaurus is an attraction in its own right. It is SO MUCH FUN to explore all the dinosaur-themed stuff that's packed inside. It's kinda like a paleontologist's TGI Friday's. The food is boring and overpriced (think french fries and chicken nuggets), and I've never eaten here. I DO come here for the fountain sodas, because customers can fix their own (which also means you can get your own refills: something almost unheard of at the Disney theme parks). Be on the lookout for cast members that roam about the restaurant, some singing with guitars and others playing the part of fossil hunters. There's plenty of seating, a bar / lounge next door, and the restaurant is tucked away in the back of the park, making it an excellent place to chill and relax (and if you must, a quiet place to make a work phone call if necessary). read more

I love this quick snack place. It's themed from an expedition looking for anything related to dinosaur. The place is Disney typical cafeteria style with lots of seating and Ac. You can mobile order (and should to save lots of time). The menu is mainly quick stuff like Burger, chicken nuggets, hot dog and such. There is a long list of allergies friendly stuff. The drink here are serve yourself and it's one of the best spot to refill water bottles because the water here doesn't have a weird taste like most places in Disney. Service is fast at counter. Definitely a little something for most families. Restaurantosaurus is located in Dino Land at Disney's Animal Kingdom. At the time of my visit they were accepting both mobile orders through the My Disney Experience app as well as in-person orders at the restaurant. There is ample space to sit and eat your meal both inside and outside with a mix of various table sizes that will suit many party sizes. Aside from the standard items I noted above, their menu also offers a fried chicken sandwich, an impossible burger, and Cobb Salad with Chicken. They have a modest toppings bar and sauce selections in the dining area for guests to add to their meal. Additionally, the restaurant has the drink station on the outside of the ordering area to allow for unlimited refills. A nice touch for those hot, humid Orlando days. We were a party of three and our order consisted of the fried shrimp and chicken tenders platter, the chili cheese dog, and chili cheese fries. The shrimp and chicken tenders offered a lot and was sharable between two adults in our group. Fried to perfection and not too greasy. The chili cheese dog was a true foot in length. Also a great choice to feed us after a long morning in the park. Though the food was typical to what you would expect from an amusement park, Restaurantosaurus executed it well. I would recommend Restaurantosaurus for a quick, convenient, and affordable bite to eat, especially for families with selective palettes. This restaurant is located inside Disney's Animal Kingdom. You need a pass/ticket to enter the park and in order to eat here. It is located in the DinoLand area of the park. We eat here every time we are with the group because of their kids but I have to say it is not my first choice. This is unfortunately your typical theme park restaurant, burgers, chicken, fries, salads, etc. I would highly recommend using the Disney App and mobile ordering your food. It will avoid really long lines and you can look for a table while they prepare your food. There are separate lines once your food is ready and all you need to do is show your app and grab your food. The app also has pictures of the food, so you can see what it looks like. (I enjoy knowing what my food should look like before eating it). They also have everything listed for allergies: soy, peanut, gluten, milk, the big ones and what you can and cannot have. What I don't like about this restaurant: 1. The food can be so much better, but it is your typical theme park 2. My chicken sandwich was not fully cooked, still very watery and on the slight verge of pink 3. The burgers are thin and dry 4. There are not a lot of options for healthy food, it is really just a salad 5. I am not a vegetarian but again, if you are, there are really only 1 or 2 options for you 6. It is crowded if you go during lunch. Our group was large, so we had to split up 7. All of our fries were cold, crispy but cold 8. The prices are out of control. I ordered a Smoresosaurus Shake (s'mores shake) thinking it would be a cold, typical vanilla flavored shake with s'mores add ins. It wasn't. It tasted like liquid/drinkable whipped cream or frosting. It wasn't cold or ice cold. The drink was the same temperature as your normal whipped cream or frosting on a cake. I didn't drink that much before throwing it away. Hands down the lounge attached to this restaurant has to be the best bar in Animal Kingdom! We went here based on a recommendation and boy were we blown away! After walking the parks all day and checking out the outdoor bars we ventured into this tucked away lounge which is easy to miss if you're not looking for it. If you want a burger and fries this a nice little spot. Generally quiet also. My burger was good, and the fires were also good! The issue has to do with their numbering system. As a person who orders from the allergy feee menu, I am very aware of the usual process where my meal will come out of a differently colored tray. In today's case there was absolute confusion regarding my order and my order number. There are six stations. Each order number is prepended by the order/pickup station. The problem is that each station can also use the same number after. For example: 05-345 and 06-345. Those are two different order numbers each from an ordering station. Yesterday the nice food person behind the counter tired to give me 06-345, which was absolutely not my order (it had egg and was not on the special tray). He apologized. Then when my order did come out, they tried to give to the person who had 06-345 who was also waiting for an allergy sensitive meal. I realize we were at Disney and everything is expensive but I do expect a better experience throughout the parks. The service here is slow but at least the cast members are friendly. It took an extremely long time just to place our order and because we had an allergen warning for one person it took three times as long to receive our order. Once we received our food it was basically lukewarm but did taste good. I ordered the footlong chili cheese dog with onions and pickles which they put on the side. What I didn't realize was that this was a jumbo hot dog that is clearly just over a footlong. This was way too big for me but I also don't like to waste and I knew we'd be going around the park. While we were waiting for our order I saw 15 or 20 of these go out and mine had a lot more cheese than any other one I saw. I double checked before I ordered it that it was an all beef hot dog. I have to say that it was really good but it did have too much cheese. Conveniently I was able to use the french fries to dip in the chili and cheese to help make it a little easier going down. As the french fries were almost cold it also helped with the flavor. We of course dined inside and it was extremely busy and difficult to get around to a table with a wheelchair. Today our experience was not quite as special. They were fairly busy, but not.totally insane. And staff was unable to keep up with the "bar" of condiments which is what makes this unique and feels more worth the cost. There was no ice coming out of the ice machine. So beverage was warm. They had no ranch in the dispensers. No shredded lettuce. It was just empty and not the cleanest. The actual chicken BLT sandwich was pretty good. Over all just a meh experience where last time was really more shining and bright. We may give them another shot Monday. We will see. One other thing is the metal legged chairs make a nasty sound on the tiles and there are lots of kids and many chairs scratching around. Came here this morning at 10:45am for brunch/lunch. Mobile order is definitely the way to go for this establishment. It took about 10 minutes for the food to be prepared. Once I received the text that it was ready, we went inside and was able to sit at a big table for the 9 of us without any issues. Food was standard chicken nuggets and burgers and fries. I was pleasantly surprised by the food here. First of all, the margaritas are pretty bad. They are super sweet, however, if you are a desperate parent in need of a buzz, it does the trick. It will cost you an arm and a leg for sub par alcohol, but it was 100% worth it. The food is what I was surprised by. I give most restaurants in Disney what I call the Disney star, which means if I ate there in the "real word" (aka outside of Disney), I would rate it one star less. My husband and I split a chicken tender/fried shrimp meal. They forgot the chicken tenders, so I'm not sure if we ended up getting more since they gave us a plate full of them, but it was a good amount of food. Both the chicken tenders and the shrimp were nicely breaded and fried. I mean the shrimp was heavily fried, but it tasted good and I wasn't expecting a delicately fried meal. They also have a toppings bar, which is really cool. I don't see a lot of "free" food around Disney, but here you can load up your burgers or really any random meal. I skipped the toppings, but got a ton of honey mustard. They also have a drink station where you fill your own cup. Again, I don't see that a lot of places. I enjoyed being able to fill up my own water bottle. There was a lot of open seating, so no issues there. It's also inside and air conditioned. I like how there are many different lines to pay and then you stand at the counter and wait for your food to get passed to you. It's actually a pretty efficient system. Okay, so hear me out-this restaurant used to be somewhat of a punchline...but over the past few trips something has changed and now Restaurantosaurus holds a special place in my heart. This quick service restaurant resides in Dinoland USA in Disney's Animal Kingdom. At first glance, the menu may seem somewhat pedestrian: burgers, fries, chicken nuggets, etc. But what makes this place rock is the customs topping bar, soda machines in the dining area (nearly unheard of inside Disney parks), the crazy amount of seating this place offers (both inside and outside), and the funky "story" it's all set in. This is your go-to spot to appease even the pickiest of eaters. They offer a variety of hotdogs and hamburgers and then allow you to customize them to your hearts content at the toppings bar. They do have a veggie burger on menu here and are more than willing to accommodate most any request you may have. We typically stop in for an order of chili cheese fries and their walnut brownie. It's the perfect sharable snack while making your way through Animal Kingdom and/or Dinoland USA. The story of this restaurant is it housed a group of paleontology students who decided to turn it into a restaurant. As you explore the vast seating options you'll see each room served a specific purpose in its "former life" while the decorations are above and beyond what you'd expect to find in a quick service restaurant (pro-tip: try and snag one of the tables inside the streamline trailer, it's super fun). The music inside the restaurant, and all throughout Dinoland USA is super fun and silly so pay attention for it. Side note: when Animal Kingdom opened they had a deal with McDonald's and Restaurantosaurus was originally a McDonald's restaurant. I grew up a kid that was obsessed with dinosaurs so perhaps it lends itself to my enjoyment of this restaurant but even if you didn't grow up with a love like mine, you'd be mistaken to overlook or pass up a quick bite here. read more

So I've been to this place a couple of times now. It's a typical Disney counter service restaurant, and it serves three star burgers. I'm happy that it lets me upgrade the bacon cheeseburger into a double, because Animal Kingdom is so much walking that it leaves me ravenously hungry. This place is different in two ways, however, and those ways are why I give it four stars. First, it has a soda fountain in it, which not all Disney counter services eateries do. It's much appreciated for those of us who need a little bit more caffeine to keep us going. Second, along with your burger purchase, or whatever you buy, you get access to an unlimited topping bar so you can make whatever kind of burger you want. Toppings available to you include all the typical veggies, sauteed mushrooms, chili, a few different cheeses, and something that you do not see very often, guacamole. That's a premium item at most places, but this place has it readily available for you to scoop up as much as you want! Overall, like I said, the baseline food is three stars worth, but the little things that make this place different bump it up to a four star place for me and put this place on the map for me in my mind among the sea of other, more forgettable Disney counter services restaurants. read more

What a great place to cool off with a drink in Dino Land Dinoland is in Animal Kingdom. It is the first large area to the right as you enter the park and move counterclockwise around the Tree of Life. The restaurant is a large complex to the right of the Dinoland entryway, past the boneyard. This is the lounge associated with the Restaurantosaurus location. It is located on the northeast corner of the entire restaurant complex. It has it's own entryway and signage. The lounge is a small area with only about 4 tall tables scattered around the counter where various drinks are served, however it is linked through the back door to the seating for the remainder of the restaurant. This gives it plenty of seating and areas to relax both inside and out. They serve cocktails, beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks. The area was well marked and clean. The staff was friendly and the drinks were cool, refreshing and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this location to any fellow travelers when you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the park or the heat of the Florida sun. I have a love/hate relationship with this place. It's the only decent place to eat in the Animal Kingdom. You seem to end up there rather than seek the place out. Once looking over the menu my husband changed his mind and ordered the chili cheese dog "men" and I went with the nugget meal. We also ordered our daughter the nugget kids meal. Her kids meal was in a pail and came with a shovel which was a cute touch. We were able to sub Mickey's "healthy" sides with fries and a cookie. "Health fiend" mothers' don't waste your breath. My nugget meal came with fries and a southwest salad. I didn't notice till the end of my meal that I never received my salad but the counter staff made it easy for me to get one and didn't ask for my receipt, which was a good thing because it was in the trash! The chicken nuggets were pretty good. Way better than I expected for theme park food. They also had ranch, BBQ and honey mustard dipping sauces and a nice toppings bar which I may have taken some pickles from...The fries were meh, nothing special and kind of cold. My husband really enjoyed his chili cheese dog. I had a bite and it was pretty yummy. For the three of us it was around $32 with no drinks (we already had some), which is not bad considering Disney isn't cheap. So don't avoid this place based of all the low reviews. We used to visit Restaurantosaurus when it was a great character breakfast buffet that was moved to the Tusker House. Over the years, Restaurantosaurus has changed to a burger joint, similar to a Fuddruckers where you are served meat on a bun and you add whatever toppings you choose. The menu includes chicken sandwiches, but I have never tried them. The toppings bar includes mushrooms, sliced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, pickles, relish, and the usual mayo/ketchup/mustard condiments. On our last trip, my wife and daughter ordered chicken nuggets, while I ordered a chicken salad. In the past, we have ordered the Angus bacon burger. Fries were included which were addicting and similar to McDonalds. The chicken nugget meals also included a bean/corn salad which was very tasty. My wife and daughter enjoyed their chicken nuggets. My daughter also ordered some chili cheese fries and liked them. The salad I had on my last visit was not very fresh. The tomatoes were very ripe and the lettuce was soggy. There also was not enough chicken to make a filling meal. In contrast, I had a great pulled pork salad a few days prior at Hollywood Studios (Fairfax Fare).
