I had a presentation that was sent before the service that was to be played and it wasn't. My family also provided pictures for a slid show that wasn't played. I called sommerville several times before the service to make sure that everything would be able to be played and no one returned my calls. This could have been avoided if someone had returned my calls. The service was cold and my grandfather didn't deserve it. I couldn't even watch it all because I couldn't bare it. I hope my family never uses you again. Oh not to mention it was streamed on Facebook when it shouldn't have been.

He was a dark complected caucasian from working outside most of his life. Also, he always wore a pencil mustache his entire life. Schermesser was given a recent photograph and father's favorite suite. Private family viewing for a few hours one day and general viewing for a longer time the next were the arrangements. We were shocked to find father with a bright pink complexion(picture a lady's powder blush compact) of a new born babe and clean shaven for the 1st time in his adult life. As shocking as that was, on the day of general viewing, before transportation to the cemetery we had to pick several beetles off dad's body and were plagued with flies swarming around the casket for the entire viewing. When we complained we were told insects come in with the flowers and there is nothing that can be done about them. I'm getting old, but I have never seen Pepto Bismo Pink used for make-up, and bugs never joined in the ceremonies.

Our most recent burial witnessed a member of the grounds crew desecrate the memory of our brother who was having his ashes buried on that day. This employee took a floral arrangement that had been set up on a table as we prepared for a committal service and threw it into the open cremation grave. We were mortified and when we complained to the cemetery office we were told basically "we do our best". Are these the same employees that are unloading the remains for the crematory? We are not going to take the chance.

Less than 24 hours after my father passed, my family and I met with him at the funeral home to discuss my father's arrangements. I asked Mr. Auble a very simple question regarding the embalming. A question that He should have easily been able to answer. Instead he looked at me, and in front of all of the family present, he said in a very loud voice and in an extremely nasty tone that he could not answer that question. In fact he said it twice! I could not believe that someone in his position would talk to me like that right after losing my father! I was completely caught off guard by this man's rude and completely disrespectful outburst!! It was so humiliating and completely unnecessary! I regret that I stayed for the rest of the meeting! I should have gotten up and left. I would never recommend this funeral home to anyone!

Just like the one she would look at every weekend when she was in her favorite place. Bag pipes were played and family gathered around for our last goodbye.
