The process was more complex than I thought, the burst pipe was on the second floor bathroom, there was damage on the second floor but the first floor and basement suffered more damage. Needless to say once ServiceMaster came out they did an inspection, spoke with my insurance company and began their work. I have a small child at home, my husband and I both work from home on occasion so this was on overwhelming situation. ServiceMaster did a great job, they were fast, efficient, and professional. There was a lot of damage in my home so I had to be placed in a hotel for a few weeks. They completed their services quickly, they also packed our belongings and took them to the hotel for us. They are going to be starting the reconstruction of our home this week. So far I am impressed and satisfied with their work. ServiceMaster by Zaba is a great company, I would recommend them to friends and family. I worked with a lot of the staff but my point of contact were Joseph and Alecia, everyone was wonderful and very accommodating.

That was impressive. You instructed me to call my insurance and make a claim. You were confident the damage would be covered under my policy. I did that and on January 3, the adjuster called and was coming in two hours. I sent you a text and you replied immediately and would join the meeting. You knew the adjuster, and I am sure that is not a standard service you provide, it was an immense help. In subsequent conversations, you told me he was a good and fair adjuster. He told me you were an honest and highly professional organization We had a preliminary estimate and approval to proceed in less than one week. During the process, you updated the estimate and got approval as more damage was discovered as we peeled the reconstruction onion. We held a call with you and myself and my wife, where we discussed the type and selection of material we required. You got them approved and coached us a flooring and, tile, paint, and carpeting. The project began with demolition, proceeding to asbestos removal, to reconstruction. Each phase was completed in a timely manner and each service provider was courteous, professional, and highly competent. Any glitch along the path was resolved by your project manager, Jim. A great guy. The project took about 30 days from the start. The result was a beautiful new bathroom, a new asbestos free area and new carpeting. Thank you. Powerhouse worked with my insurance company and got asbestos abatement done, helped redesign weak initial construction, and made sure I got every bit of the work I needed. In the past I would have taken whatever the Insurance Company offered and tried to do some of the work myself. They did it all for me, kept the rest of the house completely clean and worked with us to keep us informed along the way. Four years later a giant tree fell on my garage. I called them right away. They have had roofing specialists, engineers and managers out to review the site and are pushing to get everything properly paid for. Unfortunately, after being ignored for weeks, I've given up hope that they will. They came to our unit to perform mitigation work after water damage caused by an upstairs neighbor. When they finished and left, we discovered that the cover for our ceiling fan junction box and one of our light fixtures were missing. I contacted them within an hour of them leaving, and initially they were responsive. However, they repeatedly sent me photos of an entirely different light fixture in a different room of our home (our kitchen instead of our living room) and insisted they hadn't removed anything. I explained multiple times that they were looking at the wrong room, and I even sent my own photos, but they continued to insist they were correct. Eventually, communication stopped. The supervisor, Aldo, called me once, but I wasn't able to answer immediately. I returned his call and sent a text within an hour, but I never received a response. Despite promising that the light would be replaced, I've been completely ignored ever since. We are now left without a light fixture and have to purchase a replacement ourselves and pay someone to install it. The lack of accountability and follow-through has been extremely disappointing. I understand mistakes happen, but ignoring a customer instead of resolving the issue is unacceptable.
