This is a very fun venue. The wait was 3 hours for a table so plan ahead. It's a lovely area in the courtyard of mOdern furniture store. You can certainly stroll the building while you wait for your reservation. We did not have time to wait, but will get back someday to sit and enjoy the set up. read more

This place is ridiculous in the best way. I wanted to experience it and check out the cafe so on a recent day off we took a trip to the city to check things out. Most impressive, but you really don't feel like you can belong in a place like this. I mean, who has that much money to spend on their furniture? I certainly don't. I am absolutely out of place here, but the store and showrooms are beautiful. It's really more of a gallery experience than anything else. You walk through and feel like you're in a catalog. After spending over 10K on furniture at the RH online store, was thinking of shopping in store for a few remaining items. There is NO ONE to provide assistance. After LOOKING for someone for about 20 minutes, found someone, but he had a meeting so could only briefly answer some questions I had. He did find someone else, after another 15 minutes, she was not very accommodating and seemed very rushed with us - we did end up ordering a bed. This store it is very pretty but with no customer service it is also pretty RIDICULOUS. Another note, the furniture I did receive, EVERY piece was damaged. Granted, they said they will ship out replacements, but why even ship the pieces if they were not in perfect condition. Lastly, called TWICE for a price adjustment on a piece that dropped in price by $700, it has been 3 weeks since my first call, and a week since my second call, no credit has been issued. Done with this store. Plenty of other options for furniture. p.s. Valet somehow must have caught our license plate holder on something, because when we got our car back the frame was bent outward. We had the car washed earlier that day and so we knew it was from valet. Terrible experience. read more

Overall an amazing experience to visit RH for the first time. To keep it short I have to say it is a great location to browse for ideas for your new home/apartment at cheaper price. The price for all the furniture here itself is outside of my budge but there's a reason we have an IKEA not far from Chicago. This is not only a place to browse for home decor ideas, but as well a time were you can meet up with friends and catch up. As you all may know there is a cafe in the main lobby, which I still haven't tried due to bad responses of pricey food. Friends suggested to skip the cafe and so should you. I saw two people play an entire game of chess and saw a father and son sleeping on a high-end lounger. Excellent brunch spot! Menu is not too extensive but everything on the menu is made well! Try the salmon platter - it comes with cream cheese, Texas toast, and capers which is a great medley for flavor! The RH burger was very good - with 2 beef patties and fresh burger buns. The fries here are so well made and the aioli sauce is a perfect accompaniment. Service is excellent - hosts and waiters are always polite, accommodating, and professional. Ambience couldn't get any better - you're dining in a restored school with impeccable decor that makes you feel that you're not in Chicago. Grab a glass of wine after and peruse the floors for ideas and furniture. This is a great spot for out of town guests for lunch and or a girls brunch. Highly.recommend. I absolutely love the new Restoration Hardware mega store. As someone who grew up by one of the stores I was surprised to hear they were closing all the locations and making only one store in the city. After visiting I realize they knew exactly what they were doing. The store is a destination. The building is gorgeous and the beauty continues as you enter and explore the different levels. Having the stunning and delicious Three Arts Club in the middle is a huge draw. Along with the stunning roof top space that can get pretty busy on the weekends with people enjoying a drink and the great views. A great place to stop and shop while in Chicago. read more

This weekend I went to the new Restoration Hardware location after reading and hearing so much buzz about the infamous 3 Arts Club. First of all, I have to give them credit where it is due because after watching their video on the website and seeing how far that building has come is magnificent. As my husband and I pulled up we were welcomed by their valet who seemed to be very professional young men. They opened the door for me and handed my husband the ticket and told us to enjoy our time. Which we were fully prepared to do... After walking inside and seeing the breath taking entry way we were very excited to make our way to the cafe (after reading many reviews we knew in advance there would be a long wait on the weekend). We were told the wait was 2 hours so we decided we would grab some drinks and walk around. My husband and I have been long time customers with RH and usually shop at the Oak Brook location because it is closer but the pictures I have seen of the new store were inspiring and we needed some idea for our new vacation home that is just about finished being built. So after we grabbed our drinks we started towards the stairs where a smiling man asked us what brought us in today, we told the man we were looking to furnish a new home and he then told us that was exciting and raddled off some new promotions. We were interested in signing up for the membership and he said he would get a sales person to help because he had no way of doing so himself, and this is where it all went down hill..... This man told us to go up to the 2nd floor and a sales person would meet us at the top of the steps to help us, but when we got there not one person was there to help. My husband and I wondered around looking for some help so that we could begin making our selections. We finally saw a sales girl who was helping someone else, she apologized for not being able to assist but pointed in the direction of a red head woman who would be able to put our name on a list for help. The red head told us that the sales people were out numbered and there was a 1 hour wait for help. My husband gave his name and number and we continued to walk around. On one of the other floors we approached a girl and asked her several questions regarding the product and she was a deer in the headlights. She didn't have 1 correct answer for us, she passed us off to another manager instead. After wandering around for nearly 2 hours we were frustrated. This man with his slicked back hair was extremely smiley and spoke to us with a tone that was SO condescending and off putting that my husband had to walk away. Finally, our table was called and we sat down to eat which was the only good part of our 2 hours there thus far. After being passed off, wait listed and ignored my husband and I decided it was time to leave. What a shame that such a beautiful place is ran so poorly. The managerial staff was rude and acted as if they were too good for us and one would think they would for see this type off weekend crowed and staff themselves properly. All in all my husband and I have decided that the membership is a no go and we will be furnishing our 7,000 square foot home elsewhere because clearly they weren't interested in our business. I truly hope the CEO hires a better staff in the future or at the VERY least more people for the weekend crowed. I am still so irked that I had to write this review which I NEVER DO. But after reading the other yelp reviews at least I am not alone. ** Note for management: let's not forget that you are managers in a retail environment, which requires little to no education, before you decide to hop up on your high horse again (yes, I am talking to you with all the slick hair products). read more

Prior to visiting this showroom, it was advised we make an appointment with a designer, which we did, Abigail, who is very knowledgable on the products and made the process much easier than if we had been designing our room on our own. After spending hours with us, we picked out everything we were looking for and left tired but happy and excited. Along the way, we have experienced a few hiccups with our furniture/accessories arriving damaged, etc., however, EACH and every time we spoke with customer service or our designer at RH, the problem was quickly resolve and then some. I have NOT experienced this level of customer service with many other stores, even the ones much higher end than RH. It really is all about the personal care we feel the staff here has that will keep us coming back. Anyone who comments on the lack of customer service, has obviously not given this place a fair enough chance. Stephanie and Franklin in customer service are wonderful, ESPECIALLY Stephanie, who we have dealt with much more. We have more pieces scheduled to arrive so I'm hoping that process will be seamless. If you're looking to just browse and admire the beautiful showroom, that's one thing, however, if you are looking to furnish your home, ask questions along the way and even make a purchase, make an appointment so that a designer will be waiting for you when you arrive and give you the attention you want. This isn't a place you walk in and expect to have several sales associates asking if you need any help. read more

Yes, it's a beautiful store, but they care "zero" about the customer experience. Let's start with a restaurant that can't be bothered to take reservations. There is normally over a one hour wait, and there is nothing to do in the store, if you're not in the market for furniture. And there is nothing to do or go to in the neighborhood. So, unless you just want to sit on a sofa for over an hour and a half, you're out of luck. Second, for a huge store, they only have one very small cashier in a corner on each floor. This is just crazy. I saw people throwing their merchandise on the floor and walking out of the store--rather than wait in a very long line. One cashier per floor, for a very large area?? I will recap-- it is a beautiful store and restaurant. But, the experience just isn't worth it. They seem to care nothing about your time. It was very disappointing. read more

When, finally, after three months, I receive email notification of my pending shipment, the message directs me to a delivery scheduling page that lists the wrong sofa measurement! Speaking with an RH rep, he assures me that the listing includes a typo and that my sofa will arrive, as ordered. So I complete the delivery scheduling page, which includes a request for a Certificate of Liability Insurance (a check box). My building requires one, so I check the box. Days tick down toward my delivery date without a word from RH. Finally, on the night before my delivery, I contact RH to ask about my COI and am told that the online COI check box doesn't work; they have no idea of my COI request. So I try to submit my request to the rep, but he tells me that RH needed a "COI blank" from me, in order to fulfill the request. I have no "COI blank." The rep tells me, then, that any COI in my possession will suffice. Luckily, I have one from my painter, so I attach it to an email. After a few hours, I receive an email with an attached "new COI" but, in fact, RH had simply returned to me the COI sample that I had sent along a few hours prior. I call RH and a rep apologizes, explaining the email as a mistake, then tries to reschedule my delivery. I tell him to forget about rescheduling and just complete the COI, for crissakes. The COI arrives one half hour before the delivery of my couch, but the mistakes, uncertainty, and unnecessary hoops surrounding this episode speak of disorganization and incompetence. I'll not buy from RH, again. read more

Beautiful furniture. Terrible sales team, designers and customer service. Had so many issues with the furniture they sold us after the designer came to our house and took measurements so it would be correct. First, the dining table we purchased was assembled incorrectly and damaged by the people who came to install it. And it took months to get it replaced. Second, the bed was so high I needed a step stool just to get into bed after they assured us it was going to work w our mattress. Third, when they agreed to exchange the bed, they failed to put in the order and we waited months to get it after realizing they never put the order in. Fourth, the chandelier their designer picked for us was so large that my husband kept hitting his head when he walked into our bedroom. We obviously needed the smaller size. And, when I complained about all of these mistakes, they closed our account a day later. It is truly terrible customer service. read more

The burrata is a must try. It is absolutely fantastic and I still think about it from time to time to this day. I usually come here for business lunches or to casually browse and collect ideas for my home. The staff is extremely attentive if you're looking to make some serious changes to your home. The most memorable moment here was during the garden walk in the summertime. It was extremely hot out and I stopped in for a cool drink and snack for my son. My luck, I had to change my son as well and I was shocked when the staff directed me to an actual changing room and not just a bathroom with a hanging changing table. It was an actual changing room that was quiet and not in a bathroom with actual changing furniture (which I fell in love with). Overall service is fantastic. read more

The building in beautiful inside and out and the atmosphere is very nice despite the big crowds and long wait time for a table in busy times. The food is good and the best part is that you can pick up a drink from the bar and walk around the store freely. This "store" is a restaurant that has a enormous waiting room. We visited this location to buy furniture but many items were being used by the restaurant patrons, none of which were buying furniture. We browsed for 30 minutes and No employees from the "store" ever acknowledged us or asked if we needed help. Much of all the furniture was the same ...just variations of colors and fabrics ...very disappointing shopping experience. read more

This is a review for those that use RH for furniture versus dining. They have interesting pieces and I thought based on the prices they charge which are premium, the experience that one should receive with the purchase should be commensurate. I have never been further from the truth. Be prepared (if you are a furniture buyer) that your order will be many times mixed up, pieces missed and incorrectly delivered and this that are delivered will be damaged and require secondary or tertiary delivery. Their supply chain ability to deliver consistent experience of buying a quality product and receiving it on time is non-existent. I hope their CEO is reading this because at the pace they are going RH will be non-existent in not too distant future when most of the clientele gets fed up with the never ending issues. If you are ok with spending north of $50,000 to outfit your couple of rooms and then wait for months for delivery of various pieces - then RH is a place for you. read more

This place is great to grab a coffee or a bite, we didn't get a chance to try the food, but the dining area is exquisite. We got ice coffee with vanilla syrup and a but of almond milk and they were very tasty. Very sophisticated ... great for a coffee date as there's large, comfy couches to relax on and lose track of time.. oh and of course, if you happen to need to add a cool new chandelier or conversation piece to your furniture collection this may be the place you can find it. A little slice of heaven neatly tucked away off the streets of Chicago. I recently had the pleasure of coming here for lunch with a friend who could only speak the highest praise of this place - and they certainly delivered! The setting is among the prettiest I have ever dined in, and I could not stop taking pictures (which I am certain the staff is very used to seeing haha!) The staff was extremely kind and welcoming, and the service was very personable. I ordered the RH scramble which was unlike any scrambled eggs I have ever had before - it literally melts in your mouth! My only complaint is that their menu is rather overpriced, but it was worth it as a nice little treat to myself. I can't wait to come back and visit this heavenly place! read more

So frustrated. The store carries no inventory. Promises are made about fast delivery - but it's all a mirage. First part of delivery showed up - it was basic hooks - and one of them is rusted. So, now I have to package it up and take to the UPS store and wait for return - which will delay my project. Too bad I don't get to charge them for my time on this one. read more

I work in the Gold Coast and have lived in this neighborhood for over a decade and it pains me to see this beautiful Chicago Landmark taken over by a soulless business such as Restoration Hardware. The Three Arts Club was once a home and club for women focusing on the three arts of music, painting, and drama. Now it's a home for cheaply produced and overpriced Chinese furniture that customers can pay a "membership fee" to purchase at a "slight" discount. Maybe you would prefer to dine in the beautifully restored atrium that once was filled with music and the arts providing women a home and place of safety. I understand this is supposed to be progress. To me, it is all wrong and wrong for the community. From the hipster employees working at below or barely a living wage, to the Chinese produced furniture, to the street congestion provided by a valet service for the uber wealthy. I am taking my furniture shopping elsewhere. read more
