Seriously, this is the coolest furniture store I've ever been to. Five floors of beautiful furniture, an elegant patio cafe and a wine bar. This place is so beautiful they have weddings here. I love this place because it is like a museum. You walk around all the floors and see the cool things you can buy and customize. You have access from all the floors to see down into the atrium with the 3 Arts Cafe in full swing which is glorious, and the employees are very friendly. Honestly the hype of this place is only that - hype. The staff was not rude but certainly not friendly or accommodating. The eggs with truffle were good but nothing incredible. We love truffles and order them almost every time their on the menu but DO NOT order them here. Generally if you don't use truffles within 3 days they lose their flavor. These must have been old because they had virtually no flavor. The drinks were decent and obviously the decor was good. But outside of being a place you go to get a picture (which people were doing in droves to the point of being annoying) I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. I love this store for its aesthetics, social ambiance, and wide array of options for home furniture. Jade was of terrific help! I came in to compare a couple of convertible cribs: the Belle Upholstered conversion crib and the Lucine Upholstered conversion crib. We have the Lucine design in our CA home, set up and ready, but decided on the Belle design for Chi. We purchased the conversion kit to transform the crib into a toddler's bed in the future (great option!), as well as the Naturepedic mattress and mattress pad. We also went with the paired dresser and dresser topper for changing, in a color that matches our baby's crib's headboard. I also wanted to replace the finials (only) in the bedrooms throughout the home, and decided on the Italian Renaissance finials. Lastly, we were looking for new sofas, and currently have the Maxwell luxe 9' sofas (4). I was hesitant to repurchase the same sofas only bc of their luxurious deepness, but discovered the Maxwell models (like many other newer models) are available in "classic" size (standard sofa/ half as deep as the luxe), and much more suitable for my needs. While the luxe seating is nice, I found myself slouching each time I sat in them. The Italian Brompton leather in walnut is absolutely gorgeous. I was torn between the Italian Brompton line and the Italian Berkshire line for the walnut color, but went with the Brompton for slightly more sheen/ richness. Alton also helped us select sofas for the formal living area: Cambridge and Kensington in Italian Brompton Walnut. We went with the 9' Cambridge and the Cambridge sofa chair and ottoman. It is an ultra- comfortable, ultra- attractive set! Finally, in lieu of old, LV trunks that I set up as coffee tables, Katherine helped us select a traditional, classic coffee table that complements the newly purchased sofa, as well as all of the other furniture in our open living space. We selected a beautiful wooden piece with drawers on the sides, which sits our family albums, etc. It is the perfect height for our new couches, and complements the Cambridge pieces terrifically. We transferred the LV trunk to the formal living area, and find it a much better fit than the smaller, antique table we had there. Jade, Alton, and Katherine helped us get our baby rooms and living rooms designed to our style and needs. It was quite a lot of new furniture that we wanted, and the team was sincerely patient and excited to assist us. Thank you all! RH Chicago is one truly beautiful store, with so many helpful and informative design consultants. Great experience, always. The photogenic restaurant on the main level is another attractive feature of shopping at RH, as is the casual cafe. read more

The food was good, but you brunch here for the ambiance. This is an upscale furniture store that houses a dreamy brunch spot resembling a greenhouse with chandeliers inside. (I feel like that's the best way to describe it.) Must reserve, but even if you have to wait, there's plenty of furniture to sit on inside and a cafe. When I left the restaurant the valet attendant alerted me that I had a flat tire. He tried first to assist me and put air in tire. I've never been a die-hard fan of restoration hardware's furniture or anything, but this place is awesome. I'm from Minneapolis, so I'm in Chicago a few times a year, and I always try to come here when I can. The key about this certain RH is the restaurant and cafe inside. It is BEAUTIFUL to say the least, with an amazing atmosphere and good food. I visited with my friend who is vegan, and we were easily able to find something on the menu for her. The wait to get seated on busy days can be over an hour, so plan around that. The cafe has no wait, but there is a long line sometimes. There is also valet outside, making the parking situation more convenient. After you get your coffee or are waiting to be seated, you can explore 5 floors of different furniture spaces, which are all available for purchase. Another awesome aspect of this place is its rooftop. There is an entire patio on the roof to hangout on, of course showcasing RH's outdoor furniture. So, even though the wait can be long, there is plenty to occupy you in the meantime! read more

Although the menu is very small, the food and ambiance here are perfect! The Peach Bellini is a MUST HAVE to drink! And the Burger with fries (the garlic Mayo is ) and Lobster roll with a side salad are both absolutely delicious as well! The ambiance and layout of this restaurant is unbeatable! This review is for Restoration Hardware, the 5-level furniture store. We had an hour and a half wait for a table at 3 Arts Club and decided to walk through the five floors. At first I was super impressed. Lots of cool designs and ideas. The furniture is definitely great quality. But the more we explored, the more the furniture began to be extremely repetitive. Walking from room to room there was not much of a difference between the style of furniture. At some point we couldn't tell the difference between a few of the room. The best floor is the children's floor. There they had furniture that was impressive and well designed. I couldn't tell who was a sales associate and who was simply a customer. If I needed some help with furniture I wouldn't have been able to find someone quickly. But since there's not much to do while waiting, this was a decent place to kill time. read more

For a short part of my youth I lived in a town where I detasseled corn in the summers and the two claims to fame were: being the Hog Capital of the World and Good's Furniture Store. So, if it wasn't Labor Day Weekend when we had the Hog Fest, we had to take guests to the furniture store to see something cool. This particular Restoration Hardware is kinda like Good's Furniture Store for me. I insist that out-of-town guests come here to show off. We get some tea, coffee or a glass of wine and then walk around looking at (and sitting on) furniture. My good Yelp friend Michael B introduced RH to me when he suggested we meet there. We got our drinks, went up to the fifth floor and sat on the couches to catch up. It's like hanging out at Starbucks except more luxurious. Get this - I've seen fashion students taking pictures of their model at RH. I've also seen people bring work and laptops to do work (just like at Starbucks). It's really kinda mind-boggling that RH has turned their store into a hangout place for neighborhood folks and tourists! One of my Yelp friends (Steve I) took some time to sit down with a sales person. I was impressed at the consultation style of shopping. The sales person discussed how all of the furniture can be customized (various sizes and fabrics); however, she took some time to get to know Steve and find out what would work best for him. My two stars are a reflection of the sheer beauty of the building and courtyard restaurant. The rude staff I encountered on three different occasions prevented a five star rating. I live in the neighborhood and have stopped by several times. As I enter, I am in awe of the building itself. The furniture available for purchase is beautiful and is arranged in gorgeous scenarios. I went to the small area in the back and got a champagne once and a latte another time to sip as I shopped. I was assisted quickly and my beverages were very good. I attempted to have lunch three times but the terribly rude and snobbish hostess forgot what her job entails. Instead of standing there like a good little girl, smiling and taking names for a table, all three hostesses barely acknowledged my existence, made zero eye contact and showed bored irritation. Um, no thank you. So disappointing because it is a beautiful place where I would like to offer my business. I was waiting for a colleague who came to visit from California after we had lunch at the cafe. while I was in the restroom, a woman working at the gallery asked my colleague if she had any questions. My colleague said no, just looking. The woman rolled her eyes and laughed, and proceeded, saying, "oh..you mean is anything here free?" my friend walked away, and shortly after says "still haven't found anything free have you?" And laughed amongst co workers. unfortunate that this happened, we get a lot of people from out of town who we have brought here and won't do it again due to lack of hospitality, and as someone in hospitality, this was very unprofessional and petty as well as unexpected from the employee who was an older woman read more

Ambiance and different foods make this a great place. Prices are surprising high, but worth it. Sharing a furniture store and restaurant is a very unique idea and made for a pleasurable evening. We decided about a week in advance that we wanted to try out Sunday brunch at the 3 Arts Cafe located in the RH heart center. Because they don't take reservations, rule of thumb is to get there like 1.5 hrs ahead of time to claim a spot in the long line that forms outside. We arrived around 9:50 and got a good spot but not more than 10 min later the line was wrapped around the building. Once you get inside they parade you through one of the show rooms to the front of the cafe where you put your names down. We then waited maybe another 20 min to actually get a seat. My mom and sister grabbed some coffee from the coffee bar off to the side while we checked our comfy couches and beautiful displays. Once seated, the server was attentive and helpful guiding us to the best on the menu. We ordered mimosas to start. Delicious flavor. I ordered the burger with fries. It was a pretty basic burger, nothing to shout from the rooftops about but the fries came with a garlic aoli which was yumtastic. What we agreed that despite the food just being good (why I gave only 4 stars) the experience puts RH at the top of our lists. After lunch, we walked up to the rooftop and enjoyed the views, checked out couches and overall just enjoyed ourselves. One of my favorite places to bring my out of town guests to, if I want to wow them. Restoration hardware is part furniture gallery, part cafe, and wholly gorgeous. Entry is free, and my guests and I have spent a delightful couple of hours wandering through the 4 floors, and rooftop of Restoration Hardware. The rooftop in wonderful during the summer, and can put many of Chicago's rooftop bars to shame. Grab a hot or iced coffee drink from the cafe on the first floor, or better yet, get coffee and grub at the even more enchanting 3 Arts Cafe at this location. read more
