I had not been to my Dad's grave site in over 20 years and I forgot where it was located. I called and spoke with Noel in the office. She was so very helpful and was able to give me the exact section, range and lot number for my Dad's burial gravestone. I was thrilled that I found it easily and immediately! I started to clear away some of the grass and plant overgrowth and Noel showed up with a spray cleaner to help me. I must say that the service Noel provided to me, it gave me such a wonderful feeling while visiting my Dad's gravesite. I am so very grateful! read more

Scam artists!! I bought a plot next to my grandmother's grave in 2015. Fast forward to present year 2022, I go there all the time and this past week, there was a headstone on the plot I bought. I go to the office to meet with someone. We drive out to the plot, and he tells me that the plot on my deed is all the way down the row away from the one I bought. They have to pull their records which are all scratched out and written all over so they don't even know who owns what. I even brought pictures from the day I bought it in 2015 with the sign that says "this space is available." Whoever wrote the numbers in on the deed had everything all messed up and it's all incorrect. None of it means anything now, all they can do is ask the person that just bought it if they want to move somewhere else or give me money back. So for 7 years I thought I owned the plot next to my grandmother, now they say I do not. This is the worst thing I have ever had happen. I can not even believe that this level of unprofessionalism and incompetence would exist in such a place as a cemetery where you are picking out your final resting place next to your family. How could someone mess something like that up so badly? And then say there's nothing they can do about it. So if you have planned to go there, you better double and triple check that your deed is correct when you get it. Because I think their records are all messed up and the plots you pick are not the ones your getting. I have attached pictures from 2015 showing the plot with the available sign on it which was now just resold out from under me because they messed up my deed and records and another picture that they now have in the front of their building saying they are updating their records and that you need to contact them about your properties. Which to me, screams incompetence on their part. All the records are messed up. Also, the grounds are not kept up with. The stone is sinking into the ground. In the past two years, my family buried two of my brothers. One was a casket burial and the most recent was a cremation burial. Since the cremation burial was the first experience for my family, we relied on the guidance of Darlene Morrow, Assistant Manager and Memorial Specialist, at the Bensalem location. Darlene was extremely compassionate and she educated my family with the proper procedures and guidelines for a cremation burial. She was very sensitive to the feelings of my brother's family regarding the type of urn needed to be purchased while adhering to the policies of Resurrection Cemetery. Additionally, Darlene was very patient while my brother's family made the decision whether or not to purchase a vault for my brother's urn and the scheduling of the internment. My family had many questions and Darlene was always available to answer them. My family will always be grateful to Darlene for her professionalism, compassion and knowledge. Resurrection is terrible with communication. I have been going there for more than two years. Our family tends to the gravesite of our loved ones regularly. Resurrection has cleaned out the cemetery of our markers without notification. More than three times I have gone to the site to see our adornments thrown in a dumpster. We trim the grass ourselves and keep the site very tidy. They are supposed to post signs with a specific date of their cleanouts, but they are inconsistent. Now I'm told that it is "standard procedure" that they do a cleanout 7 days after a holiday (without posting any notifications). Signs should be clearly posted before each cleanout with a date, not just sometimes. Or families should be notified via email that a cleanup is scheduled, so they have the opportunity to save any of the items they would care to for their loved ones. Resurrection is careless and callous - when I explained my experience with the receptionist this time, her response? "I don't know what to tell you" read more

First, we have 3 loved ones buried in Resurrection Cemetery from 1979 thru Aug 2021. Since the catholic archdiocese has sold the property it has over the few years of private ownership deteriorated badly. The grounds and grass our full of weeds, overgrown and not maintained as before. Poor maintenance to say the least. Very depressing, we have visited the gravesites every year since1979. I would be very cautious before you make arrangements with these people. It appears the $$$$$ sign rules there. Although the staff is cordial,management / owners are only concerned about their bottom Line. Find a better maintained cemetery elsewhere. read more

After I contacted the Archdiocese of Phila. They contacted the Cemetery and had a meeting with the staff. The Manager(Matt) called me and instructed me to come in and talk to the executive assistant and bring the deed and all information. I did and I signed the deed over and will be receiving my funds in a few weeks. It just goes to show if your not satisfied with the rude treatment or you think the person don't know what they are doing go higher. Thank you to Catholic Cemeteries of Philadelphia. This cemetery is not kept well. The upkeep and follow up is very poor. We waited over a year to have them fix my aunt's grave. They left it rocky and never planted grass seed. After several requests they ultimately fixed it. In September my uncle was buried. The grave area is a total mess. Nothing was done to level the dirt. It is obviously never attended to. When arriving to the cemetery the fence is a complete disgrace. I believe the fence needs replacement. It is rusty and in poor condition. The least they could do is paint the fence. read more

I checked my in-laws grave site today to find it a complete mess. It's been 3 months since my father-in-law was buried. They never back filled in properly, grave has sunk 5/6 inches & the whole area is a swamp. I noticed several other grave markers have been run over by equipment & left half sunk in the ground. They want you to pay extra to make repairs for their neglect. Saw grounds people just driving in circles. Same vehicle drove past me 3 times. read more

My father was buried here 7 months ago and it looks like he was just buried yesterday. Half assed job of planting grass seed and parts of the grave are sinking in...on top of that half of the head stone is completely covered in mud.
