I've been in a couple times now. The first was with my daughter. She had a maple bar and chocolate milk (the milk was cold and fresh tasting). I had a couple coconut cream ono donuts and a black pour-over coffee. So good! Last week I went in with my girlfriend's and we chatted for an hour as we noshed on our donuts. I tried a maple bar with pepper bacon... It was bigger than the basket it was served in! And the coffee was perfect again. My friend tried the raspberry filled and said the filling tasted fresh, she ended up buying a dozen before we left to take home to her family. I'm happy to have a donut place up north, the other one (on Division) often sells out before 9 am. This place is clean with great music and I'll be a regular customer here for sure! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! If you're anything like me (I'm on a diet, but I have the self control of a monkey). This place is great. I came here once a couple weeks ago to pick up donuts for someone else, so I didn't give it much thought. Then last week at work I drew the short straw and had to pick up donuts on the way to work the next day. I stopped here only because it's on my way to work. I picked up a few donuts and remembered that the job site I'm working at doesn't allow food inside, so I had to find a way to disguise the donuts. I explained my predicament to them and they produced a box that didn't say donuts on it. Yes!! I took my donuts to work with the intention of eating only one. 3 donuts later I figured out how addicting these things are. So much better than anything else I could have brought. The taste was incredible. The texture was amazing. My coworker exclaimed "These are the bomb!". He's much younger than I am. Back to the donuts. I came in today and purchased another dozen and got 6 free. Holy wow!! These donuts were just as good as last week's. Between the great service and the amazing donuts they've earned another customer. Ok, now for the rest. The building is easy to get to with plenty of parking. They have a drive thru, but I wasn't able to use it so I can't say much about it. The pricing is a tiny bit higher than I like for donuts. But then again there's a reason Mercedes cost more than Hyundai. Treat yourself to some donuts. It was amazing. Great place, friendly people, and amazing donuts. I really liked how cold the milk was. That just made it even better. I had an apple fritter and it was still warm and very fresh. Great texture and plenty of apples. Well worth the drive. Ok, love this place and it is still amazing. I was so excited to try this place we drove out from the valley just to try them. We got there and they had the display all broken down and no menu to pick from so we just had to point to what looked good as the young man behind the counter didn't want to explain what our options were. We ended up with an old fashioned with white frosting and chocolate chips on it which very delicious! My husband just got a raised doughnut with chocolate frosting which was about grocery store grade. I was really hoping for more since these doughnuts aren't cheap. I'm a big fan of blueberry cake donuts and when I saw an insta post with them featured there, I made the trek from Spokane Valley. Had to stop for gas and endure a border patrol frisk but overall well worth the drive. Blueberry glazed cake and blueberry frosted blueberry cake. Got these for a Christmas gift from a neighbor. Assortment of donuts with maple and chocolate frosting + sprinkles. We didn't get to them the day of and had them the next day. I ordered 3 dozen donuts (maple bars, glazed and fritters) for a graduation reception and they were superb! So fluffy and fresh, they were a hit. I indulged in a blueberry fritter and It was so good. There was some icing on the top and the best part was the edges that got a little crisp. The Maple Bars were huge and the glazed doughnuts were soft pillows of bliss. I recommend! Sometimes you see something and it sounds quite strange. Retro donuts recently started offering classic breakfast sandwiches. During these times the convenient drive through was enough to take me to Retro donuts on a morning I had to go out. I couldnt help myself. I had to try a classic breakfast sandwich. Having enjoyed maple bars topped with their pepper bacon in the past, I knew a bacon sandwich was the one for me. I didnt know what to think about egg cheese and bacon sandwiched in a glazed donut. It was incredible. The price was on point. I paired it with an orange juice. The whole trip was quick, polite, and exactly what I hoped. I normally don't leave reviews but with the last couple experiences trying to get a donut here for my boys I felt it would be good to warn others. They have been closed between an hour and half hour each time I swing by. I emailed the owner Jon Fine and his response was to go pound sand. I'm not sure how this place is anything less than 5 stars. They do a fantastic job with the variety of donuts that are going to satisfy your clan! We dropped in while visiting town a few weeks back..... The doughnuts are so good that we had to come back and get some more when visiting town a few weeks later! I think the most important thing with a donut is the right consistency - And they've nailed it here. It's fluffy but not too fluffy. The amount of frosting is also perfectly balanced. On this particular trip we decided to get some raspberry fritters, tiger bar, huckleberry filled round, Sprinkled round, and a M&M bar. All great choices! I've never been much of a fritter guy, but their blueberry and raspberry fritters have converted me! It gets a little bit on the expensive side as far as donuts go, but you gotta pay for quality! Donuts will vary in cost to from about a $1.50 to $3 each, depending on type. Retro donuts makes some of the finest donuts in town and you can't go wrong picking up some donuts here! Love the Retro Font, simple Vintage wall designs, donut boxes and the dinosaur platter. It's funny I am not really a donut lover but I do love Fritters. So I am always excited to try a new donut shop. This one is a little far from my Post Falls home but I do frequent the lovely city of Spokane so I had to try it. I arrived on Friday April 14 which was fun to find out from the cashier (possibly the owner?) that it marked 6 months of being opened. They must be doing well because as mentioned I was here for the Fritters and was fortunate enough to get the very last one! It was a Cinnamon Rolls Fritter. I had so been hoping for a Pineapple Fritter. The gentleman was so friendly and happy to fill me in on how their baking schedule. Fridays are for Fritters but they often sell out early. I think I was there at 11:00? On the last Friday of each month they make special flavored Fritters and more of them so that some times they last through the weekend. Oh boy do I wanna try the not just Pineapple but, Canadian eh?, Pineapple Bacon Fritter! I forget some of the other flavors he mentioned as it is a few days later and I was way to focused on that one flavor. I will be visiting again whether driving directly to the shop or happen to be in the area. It was a tasty, fun experience for me. read more

First review! This place is amazing. Long wrapping line inside. We got a sour cream old fashioned with chocolate glaze, chocolate rings and original glazed. That chocolate glaze is thick and rich. I was excited to try Retro Donuts for the first time, until I was in the drive through and saw that the girl in the window had a face shield that was completely pulled down making it ineffective. None of the employees in the store had masks on either and there is a mask mandate in the state of WA. If you can't enforce a simple mask rule for your employees, what else are you skipping?
