I had an absolutely amazing experience getting tattooed by Brianna! From start to finish, she was the definition of intentional and detail-oriented. Her attention to detail was borderline incessant, in the best way possible, making sure every line, every shade, and every placement was perfect. The place is incredibly safe, welcoming, and inclusive. It's a true safe space for all individuals and communities ‍‍. Brianna is not only incredibly talented, she's also hilarious and super personable, making the whole experience comfortable and fun! Her pricing is very reasonable for the level of professionalism and artistry she brings. Plus shes incredibly clean, and I felt so taken care of. I can not recommend Brianna enough. Each artist has a unique approach and are so personaable , I plan on getting passed around from artist to artist like this was the 70's and Retro Row Ink was Studio 54, ho'kay?!?

I just recently completed my eyebrow session with Chelsea, who works out of the shop, and you should too. She listened to what I wanted and offered her suggestions as well, and we created the perfect shape and color. I had existing work that had faded almost to a shadow, and she was able to work with that. There wasn't any color distortion between the two pigments either. She took her time mapping out my face and what shape would work & then we got to work. She is super chill, the shop has AC and PARKING in the back FOR FREE!! Her prices come with a 6-8 week touch up. Which is where I fell even more in love. The color we achieved on my touch up is perfect! I'm in love with it. I recommend Chelsea as your go-to Brow Chica in LB.

Today I got my first tattoo. To commemorate my late husband, my daughter and I got "matching" tattoos with words in his writing. Nika was amazing! Her level of detail to the flowers and honoring his writing. The shop staff is super friendly, the vibe is chill. The shop is very clean and sanitary! We would highly recommend their shop! And they take walk-ins!

Xavier was amazing, he did exactly what I wanted. I'm very happy with my new tattoo. Highly recommend this shop, so clean and welcoming.

After looking at the portfolios of a few tattoo artists I decided to go to Retro Row Ink. I liked the work of Nika so I reached out to her on Instagram. We messaged back and forth and she came up with a great design for me. When I arrived at the shop, I was happy to see how open and bright it was. All the artists working there are very friendly. Nika broke it up into multiple sessions since my skin could only take about three hours of tattooing. The tattoo came out better than I could have imagined. I will definitely go back for more work from her. If you are looking for a new tattoo drop by and see them.

I had been wanting to get a new tattoo for awhile and my usual spot was all booked up. I did some research and found Julia, who used to be at Calavera in Pedro, but just moved over to Retro Row a few days prior. I contacted her on IG and she was able to not only fit me into her schedule, but was extremely detailed and helpful throughout the process. Julia and the other artists were very professional and courteous which I really appreciated. I have loved the work I've gotten from other artists before, but Julia's customer service was something I had yet to experience! When I was done, she made sure I got to my car safely and even got a water bottle for a homeless man nearby. I definitely recommend Julia and Retro Row for any tattoos you are thinking of getting :)

My friend wanted to do a group tat for their bday. Simple single line drawing. We were going to a different place but the minute we walked in to the other shop, the vibe was just off. So we remembered Retro Row after driving by before brunch. We're happy we ended up at Retro Row instead. The shop is clean. I have no idea what the other review was talking about. Zach & Aaron were friendly and sanitized in between. My friend ended up getting a 2nd tat right after because why not? We're returning for my bday to add onto our dinos!

Got my first tattoo by Ana at Retro Row, and I cannot recommend her enough! The store has a very welcoming and calm vibe, and the staff were all friendly. Ana was very easy to talk to. She made sure my design and placement was exactly what I wanted, and always made sure I was comfortable during the tattoo. I would definitely choose this place and artist again!

My tattoo artist Mikie did an amazing job. Not only is Retro Row a welcoming environment, everyone there is so nice. If you get lucky enough to have Mikie ink you , just know you are in good hands. Great conversationalist and when discussing what you want tatted he makes sure you like the final product on top of adding his own creative touch to the piece. Will definitely be coming back for more tattoos

Retro row ink is such a cool spot with really cool people inside, atmosphere was immediately welcoming and comfortable. My tattoo artist was Xavier and I also got to meet another artist / his friend Mikie, who were great company during the sesh! I originally came in for one of Xavier's flash designs, and he decided it would be best to redraw the original design to fit my anatomy, which then led him to pitch me the idea of freehanding a similar concept, a skull centipede, and I said LETS DO IT. I trusted Xavier with his idea and he did not disappoint! The tattoo came out so gnarly !! Officially my favorite piece and I feel x10 cooler, I have gotten so many compliments on it B)

Today after last minute deciding to get a tattoo, I walked into Retro Row and my expectations were immediately exceeded. I was greeted by Cody at the door, who had a great cheery attitude and they made me feel very comfortable, answering all of my questions and explaining how my tattoo will be the price of the store's minimum ($100). The waiver was very quick and simple to do and Cody was able to get the materials ready while I filled it out and even offered us water to make sure we felt comfortable. Even at the table, they gave me PLENTY of time to make sure I was making the right decision before they start the tattoo process, offering many different sizes of stencils and placements as well, giving their advice on which placement is the best. They also gave encouragement and was able to distract me by talking to me during the painful parts of the process. It was overall such a great experience and if I were to get another tattoo in the future, I would definitely go back to Retro Row Ink (even though I don't live in the area). Thank you Cody!!

Nika is the best! Hands down so worth it! She has such a great talent and eye! I have given her two ideas and she has hit them out if the park. I've given her the specifics of what I wanted and she designed some amazing peices for me, can't wait for her to do more!
