This store just basically is for hipsters and suburban kids that don't realize that you can go to any thrift shop & find the exact same stuff for a few bucks if you just spend a few minutes digging. For example, they might charge $28 for something that yeah it may be vintage, but isn't anything rare at all, & can usually be found for about $5 at any thrift store. Also, plenty of the stuff there isn't even what I would call vintage, it just is maybe ironic looking enough to fool the hipsters into paying big money for it. They do have alot of vintage stuff, but none of it is anything that's rare or special, & in all honesty, most of it really isn't even in very good condition. Save your money & just go to any thrift store in your neighborhood when you have some time to dig around, I guarantee you you'll be way better off. read more

Really overpriced and I do not recommend this Retrospect Goodwill Store . Bad and rude management and the staff behave as if they do not need customers at all,condescending and lack customer service skills. I love thrift stores a lot, but I feel as though this one hasn't quite hit the mark yet. There new location is kinda sterile. But they have started putting up kitschy little signs which show they do have souls. It's nice to know, because I do feel sometime it is hard to get a simple "Hello" out of the front of house when I first walk in. The prices are a bit high and the selection varies. There are never enough small sized dresses, IMO (although maybe I'm just going at bad times?) The quality is always good though, even if there's nothing much of your style. I've bought housewares and dresses from here and been satisfied with all of my purchases. I don't understand the people who complain about the service. The staff have always been courteous to me, not aloof or rude, but I don't expect them to pal around with me or fawn over me. read more

Sadly, the prices here are a little to high for my tastes. They do have a nice selection of unique, vintage clothing and shoes. They always seem to have a fair number of cowboy boots. However, I never buy anything when I visit. It's a nice place to just look around in. They usually have cool music playing too. read more

The prices are high, they seem to try to fill the market between P.A.T and Green Street Consignment and they have unique finds. I shop there at least once a month but I had a bad experience recently. I found a great pair of shoes that were dated November 2015. According to information I found out from helpful store staff on a previous visit, when an item in the store is dated 2 months or older, it is reduced by 50%. Knowing this I asked about this but the clerks at the store that day were clueless and refused to honor the store practice. I went back about a week later and the same shoes were there but the older stickers were removed and updated to March 2016 so shoes that have been in the store for 4 months are back to full price. This is bad form and anti-customer, buyer beware. read more

You never walk empty handed from this place. From their denim cutoffs, to cute sunnies to kitchen supplies this place satisfies pretty much every vintage taste. There are some treasures if you look often and closely - recently scored a collector's vinyl that goes for over 300! Happy treasure hunting. read more

i love thrift shopping...its my fave. this place has a sweet selection of cowboy boots. the prices are kind of high for being a goodwill. its organized pretty well.....the children's section is pretty much non existent. i bought a really cool tie leather belt there for 5 bucks so i walked out of their with a smile on my face-haha. i agree with katie about "Retrospect takes all the fun out of it. They buy all of the hip stuff out of area thrift stores, multiply what they paid for it by $10 and sell it." thats BS!!!!! read more

Overpriced Dump. 99% of what I saw needed to go in the garbage. The shoes were so messed up that they weren't fit for a homeless person. Give me a break! I can't believe that they make enough money to pay the rent. I wouldn't go back in there and I would not recommend it. read more

Get off your high horse, bad reviewers-it's a thrift store, not Macy's! They have loads of choices for men and women, the store is neat, clean, well-stocked, organized, brightly lit, and the staff wonderful. I found lots of things I could have bought but the old waistline has expanded with my fifty-eight years. Vintage clothes are often just too small for today's fat behinds. Not the fault of the staff. I love the sunglasses and purchased three pairs along with a pretty print dress and a fantastic culotte outfit. Could have bought more but had to meet someone for dinner. I plan on going there on a regular basis. The prices may seem a bit high to some cheapskates but you get that one of a kind treasure so its worth it! Free your mind, become creative and forgo the over-priced chain store. You'll be glad you did. read more

I stopped here while on vacation, and I have to say this place is pretty great. It doesn't have a huge selection, and it's certainly not all vintage, but the prices are very reasonable (how much vintage used to cost before the hipsters drove it up). I found a super warm 100% wool red winter coat that had kind of a 40s look to it (but probably from the late 80s) for only $15, and a green hand-knit italian wool sweater for $8. There were a lot of other things I liked - shoes for under $15, mens shirts for under $20, and dresses for under $40, but I would have had to buy a new suitcase to bring them all home. read more

Great place! Friendly and helpful staff. Stopped by on my way through Philly on a road trip. One of the staff explained that they were actually a Goodwill store, which I thought was awesome. You get to support Goodwill, but the stuff is a lot nicer than your average Goodwill. A win win in my mind! read more

I have been to this store a handful of times, and each time I've come away with at least something, and something I felt I was getting either for a steal or for a good deal. I go thrifting often and it's true that the standard prices are higher than normal thrift prices. However, because everything of the same category is priced pretty much the same way (sweaters one price, shirts another, jackets, suits, shoes, etc.), lots of the stuff is very overpriced. This is true of shirts and coats especially. On the other hand, that means that some of the nicer stuff is really underpriced for what it is. That, for me, is where to find great value. If you know what to look for, you can get a steal. Most of it, however, is either junk or overpriced or both. Sales staff is polite but quiet, not in-your-face. Not super-helpful, but pleasant to deal with and nice to look at (always well dressed). Bottom-line: takes luck, patience, or both, but there are deals to be had. Majority of stuff is too pricey for what it is, though. read more

I agree this place is a tad expensive but you can find amazing steals! I got a Betsey Johnson top for $15. Also, I disagree about the staff. They're always nice when I go in (I'm not sure if it's because I go there frequently or not) and they always seem happy answering my questions. read more

The prices and service here is hit or miss. This is something I have come to expect from thrift stores. If you don't like rummaging thru racks or shelves overstuffed with junk the prices are worth it. I will say the prices on furniture is one of the best I have found in South Philly and the selection is pretty great. read more
